The Italian restaurant that made giant pastries is back with XL cookies

Time Out22-07-2025
Over Valentine's Day this year, Italian restaurant Pane e Latte went viral for selling the largest commercially available pastries in Hong Kong, and now they're back again with huge cookies, available in monthly flavours. Blending the eatery's Italian roots with artisanal baked goods, their new XL Cookie collection is the perfect treat to munch on while enjoying the seaview.
Starting off nutty, July sees the launch of the hazelnut and pistachio flavours. Their hazelnut cookie features a classic cookie dough filled with gianduja chocolate and hazelnut ganache – we don't know about you, but Ferrero Rocher in cookie form sounds amazing. The pistachio version is filled with chocolate ganache and crushed pistachios instead, feeding into the recent pistachio craze. Each giant cookie is available at $68, and for an extra $28 you can add additional toppings such as chocolate hazelnut paste and crushed nuts, because why not?
For even more indulgence, order Pane e Latte's strawberry milkshake, a summery blend of vanilla gelato, milk, strawberry syrup, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. The milkshake itself costs $68, but a giant cookie and a milkshake sells for a bundle price of $128.
Looking into August, Pane e Latte will be bringing out a raspberry cookie, featuring raspberry cookie dough with a luscious raspberry ganache filling, as well as their classic cookie, which features the quintessential chocolate chip dough filled with rich chocolate ganache. These two flavours will be paired with a tropical shake, which blends pineapple juice, coconut milk, vanilla gelato, and whipped cream, topped with dried mango for a beachy island vibe.
Head into Stanley on a nice weekend to enjoy these oversized treats while strolling through the seaside town, and if you find you've polished everything off too fast, just remember Cookie Monster once said, 'No cry because cookie is finished. Smile because cookie happened.'

The pair were also spotted wandering through the back streets of Rome — with Harry carrying a bottle of wine. A source said: 'Harry loves nothing more than showing people his favourite spots in Italy. 'He also loves art and Kim has been a great source of inspiration.' Kim, who grew up in Antwerp, Belgium, has shared pictures on her Instagram of The Loggia Of Cupid And Psyche — a mural depicting a love affair — at the Villa Farnesina in Rome. She also posted snaps of red peppers drying on a rooftop in Ravello on Italy's Amalfi Coast. It comes as Harry is rumoured to have fallen in love with the small Italian village of Civita di Bagnoregio. The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker spent the pandemic learning Italian and sign language. During his final Love On Tour show in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 2023, Harry thanked 120,000 fans in Italian. Speaking in their language, he said: 'The last two years of my life have been a wonderful gift and it is truly very special to end my tour here, in a country that has a special place in my heart.' Harry Styles' mystery woman revealed after Glastonbury snog - and she's VERY different to the women he's dated before In June, the singer was seen sharing a passionate kiss with producer Ella Kenny at Glastonbury Festival. It came after his relationship with actress Taylor Russell ended in May last year. He was seen kissing model Emily Ratajkowski on a night out in 2023 and has previously dated model Kendall Jenner, singer Taylor Swift and actress Olivia Wilde. Last month, Harry launched his own vibrating sex toy and lubricant through his lifestyle brand, Pleasing. Alongside his new passion as a tour guide, it seems that Harry has many strings to his bow. The annual event, which she organises with her family, also saw her sing on stage with her dad Dukagjin. Posting on Instagram, she wrote: 'This festival is something my family and I created with so much love for our city Pristina. 'And to see it come to life like this is beyond anything I could've dreamed of.' The New Rules hitmaker also revealed that she has been granted Kosovan citizenship. The singer was born in London to Kosovo-Albanian parents and briefly lived in Pristina when she was a child. Posting a number of snaps from the weekend, including a selfie with her certificate, she wrote: 'Got my Kosovo citizenship the night before then partied hard at Sunny Hill Festival the night after!!!' HEIDI READY FOR SUGA HIT ON TV 8 Heidi Range will recount her days in the pop group Sugababes Credit: Getty HEIDI RANGE is set to lift the lid on her tumultuous time in the Sugababes in explosive BBC documentary Girlbands Forever. The singer will sit down with interviewer Louis Theroux to recount her days in the pop group, which has had six members over the years, including the original (and current) line-up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, as well as former members Jade Ewen and Amelle Berrabah. A source close to the project, which follows last year's Boybands Forever, said: 'Heidi has never spoken about what went on. 'Louis reached out to her directly and she finally agreed to take part a couple of weeks ago. It was an emotional interview and one that viewers will want to watch.' Last year, the Sugababes were handed a gong at the Mobo Awards, but Heidi's mum hit out after her daughter was 'white-washed' from the nomination video. She wrote on Instagram: 'I can't believe the cheek of it. Sugababes didn't have a hit till Heidi joined. It is so false and disrespectful the way they are carrying on.' Mutya hit back: 'When I wasn't in the group and the girls was doing big things without me, do you think I was getting upset about not being mentioned?' A spokesman for the original trio declined to comment. Forget the Suga – things might be about to turn very sour again. GENT IS IN LOVE 8 Tom Rhys Harries and songwriter Amy Allen Credit: Getty THE Gentlemen actor Tom Rhys Harries has just landed the starring role in DC Studios' Clayface, the villain and ally of Batman. But I can reveal the Welsh hunk is also a leading man in American songwriter Amy Allen's life. The pair soft-launched their relationship on Instagram, with Grammy-winning songwriter Amy sharing snaps of their holiday to Spain. A source told me: 'Tom and Amy are in the honey-moon phase and are the new power couple in town. 'Tom is a rising star in the film industry and Amy has fast become the first person pop stars want to work with.' Earlier this year, Amy scooped the Grammy Award for Songwriter Of The Year – the first woman to win the gong since its introduction in 2023. Amy penned Sabrina Carpenter hit tracks Espresso and Please Please Please as well as co-writing Adore You and Matilda for Harry Styles. Sounds like Tom and Amy will make sweet music together. PUB JOB FOR SAM BEFORE rising to fame on Eurovision in 2022, Sam Ryder started out singing in boozers – and now he has been appointed Head of Gigs for Greene King Pubs to help support up-and-coming artists. Sam, who dropped new single The Feeling Never Went Away from his upcoming album Heartland on Friday, said: 'Pubs provided a place for me to actually learn how to play in front of people. 'Before the pub stage, you just played guitar in your bedroom as loud as it could go. 'At pubs, you got the chance to hone your craft and learn different songs, create a little catalogue, get the expertise of actually playing in front of people.' I couldn't agree more, Sam. CRUZ BECKHAM is taking his new band on tour next month, branding his indie music style as 'nepo rock'. Having assembled a group of musicians, David and Victoria's youngest son will start with a series of gigs in London pubs. 8 Cruz Beckham is taking his new band on tour next month Credit: Getty Confirming the news on Instagram, Cruz posted a video of him crooning to a Tom Petty cover, but added, 'Originals are coming soon', and 'Nepo rock is the new genre'. A source said: 'Cruz is determined to prove he can earn his crust on his own merit.' With the amount of celeb offspring in music, nepo rock could be here to stay . . .

From cuffing season to orbiting and yassify, the A to (Generation) Z of modern dating terms – how many do you know?

Scroll down to find out what terms like 'zombieing' and 'FLR' mean LOVE LINGO From cuffing season to orbiting and yassify, the A to (Generation) Z of modern dating terms – how many do you know? Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHAKESPEARE said that 'the course of true love never did run smooth' – and that was before online dating. Finding your perfect match has its challenges, and Gen Z boasts an ever-evolving glossary of terms to describe their romantic lives. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up To help you keep up, read our A-Z of modern dating lingo and know your DINKs from your kittenfishers. A – Affordating: Low-cost dates, like a picnic in the park or a romantic stroll, if you can't afford fancy flowers and expensive meals. B – Benching: Keeping a potential partner on the back burner while you pursue others. C – Cuffing season: Spanning from October to just after Valentine's Day, this is the time it's deemed best to commit to a relationship. READ MORE ON GEN Z NEXT JEN How Jenna Ortega became Gen Z scream queen… Johnny Depp rumour to THAT sex scene D – DINK: Both working and you've got no kids? Lucky you — you're a DINK. The acronym stands for 'dual income, no kids'. E – Ethical non-monogamy: It's not cheating if you talk about it first — or so say believers in this dating style, where couples agree to have other partners. F – FLR: A 'female led relationship' sees traditional gender roles flipped. Women make the majority of the decisions or earn the most money. It should hardly be worthy of comment in 2025! G – Green flag: The opposite of red flag, this term is used by Gen Z for positive qualities in a romantic partner, such as being a good listener, sharing interests or getting on with your friends. H – Hard launch: Not just for celebs, this is where one or both partners confirm the relationship on social media with pics or a status change. I – Ick: Olivia Attwood made the term popular on the 2017 series of Love Island. Getting the ick involves developing a sharp revulsion towards a potential or current partner. The things i've learned as a gen-z traveller J – Jekylling: When someone shows you their 'best self' at first, but later reveals a much darker or toxic side. Named after alter-egos Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. K – Kittenfishing: If catfishing is creating a completely fake online ID, then kittenfishing is its less extreme cousin. It involves, for example, using old photos or exaggerating qualities. L – Love bombing: Showering a potential partner with excessive affection and gifts early in a relationship. M – Micro-cheating: Any blurred-line interactions which could be seen as cheating, such as private messaging someone of the opposite sex without your partner knowing or even liking their Insta snaps. N – Negging: Using insulting or negative comments about someone. O – Orbiting: Being ghosted means never hearing from someone again — but an 'orbiter' is an ex who lurks, watching your social media. P – Pocketing: When a date avoids introducing you to friends and family or posting about you on social media, keeping you 'in their pocket'. Q – Quiet quitting: The act of emotionally disengaging from a relationship without actually ending it. R – Rizz: Shorthand for the word charisma, rizz is the ability to charm and attract someone using confidence, style or good chat. S – Ship: To ship two people means you're rooting for them to be together. T – Talking stage: The period before a couple commit to a relationship, but do have some level of romantic or sexual involvement — which, confusingly, often goes beyond just talking. U – Undercover dating: Otherwise known as sneaking around, this is when you keep a relationship secret as you get to know each other. V – Vibe check: Basically a first date, and a chance to check if you click. W – Win: A successful move in dating or flirting, like scoring a kiss. X – Xennial dating: The outdated practices of Gen X and millennials. If you prefer face-to-face to WhatsApp and have never used Hinge, this term may well apply to you. Y – Yassify: To make yourself look good to impress. Z – Zombieing: When someone who ghosted you suddenly reaches out, it's like they are back from the dead — hence, zombieing.

Kelly Brook, 45, branded 'a natural beauty' as she shows off curves in white bikini

Former Page Three girl Kelly Brook has shared a series of photos from her holiday in Italy, after the 45-year-old retired from the modelling industry, saying she had enough of the 'male gaze' Former glamour model Kelly Brook has shown off her curves in white bikini photos as fans have praised her "natural beauty". The 45-year-old looked incredible as she sunned herself on holiday in Italy with her husband, model Jeremy Parisi. ‌ Sharing the series of snaps on Instagram, the Heart Radio host beamed as she posed against a railing, captioning her post: "Italian Summers !!! Made the Hubby take some pictures of me." ‌ Fans flooded the comments with praise for the retired model, who was hailed a "role model" for sharing the natural photos. One of her followers commented: "Thank you for showing girls what a normal (gorgeous) woman looks like. They're constantly looking at 'love island' girls!" It comes after Cat Deeley found moving back to the UK 'really hard' before split from Patrick Kielty. ‌ Another of Kelly's followers shared: "You are absolutely stunning and so natural It's also very refreshing Kelly." A third penned: "Been an absolute natural beauty from the beginning! never change! X" Others echoed their sentiments, writing: "How bloody refreshing," while another added: "This should be the role model for young girls out there. You are absolutely stunning." ‌ A sixth fan gushed: "Does this woman never age? From many years ago to now I have admired her. Not only is she a natural beauty and all woman she has the most wonderful sense of humour absolutely hilarious on times on the radio. Her husband struck gold when he married her. Stunning!!!" Kelly, who appeared on Celebrity Race Across the World with her husband Jeremy, told the Sun previously that she had enough of modelling. She told the paper: "It's very hard having been a bikini model all through my 20s and then you hit 30 and they still want me to do calendars. ‌ "I'm just not there for the male gaze any more. I'm married and I'm very happy being in my 40s." She also revealed earlier this year to the Mirror that she made the conscious decision to live a child-free lifestyle, thanks to some wise words from a family member. In the candid chat, she explained: "When I asked my grandma if she regretted anything in life, because that's what you ask octogenarians, she said - very honestly - that her biggest regret was having children." Kelly added: 'I wasn't expecting it, but she definitely said it! I think she felt that having children had taken up a lot of her life. I thought, 'What an absolutely honest, incredible answer,' and I think I needed to hear it. I was about 36 at the time and thinking, 'God, am I ever going to have children? If so, maybe I should just get on with it now?' Then I thought, 'Actually, I don't think I want them,' and hearing that somebody had regrets, and that I might not regret not having children, made me feel really happy about my choice." ‌ The media personality, who has been married to husband Jeremy for two years this month, said she's happy being a "dog mum", and likes having her freedom. She added: "As someone who's probably not going to have children, it's hard to think about regrets now, because what am I going to regret? "That I sold my house in LA to move to the UK? Well, there's nothing stopping me from moving back to LA. If I regret something, I'll just go back and change it!'
