Richard Ayoade and Warwick Davis are teaming up for an Audible comedy podcast.
'Future Tense with Richard Ayoade and Warwick Davis' will be available from June 5 and will see the pessimistic 'The IT Crowd' star and the ever cheerful 'Star Wars' actor – who have a shared love of past roles in sci-fi – venture beneath Audible HQ to the 'Future Tense lab', fully equipped to interrogate the future we are being told to look forward to.
Over the course of six episodes, the pair will discuss the downsides of celebrating your 150th birthday and consider whether human civilisation peaked with the penny-farthing.
Richard and Warwick will deliver equal parts naive enthusiasm and sharp scepticism as they tackle the key questions facing our collective future.
With assistance from comedic performer and popular science writer Helen Keen and expert guests providing actual facts, listeners will be taken on a hilarious yet informative journey – from robots to relationships – to unravel a future that nobody has ordered, but everybody will receive.

Warwick said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to have worked with Richard Ayoade on Audible's brilliant new podcast series, 'Future Tense'. His brilliantly dry wit was the perfect counterpoint to my optimism and made for a fun, dynamic collaboration, and I learned a lot along the way too."
Richard added: "When I was first asked about this podcast I thought it was a bad idea, but then maybe it could be ok. And now we've made that bad or maybe ok idea a reality. I hope you listen and agree."
Meanwhile, Warwick previously hosted the ITV afternoon quiz show 'Tenable' and has urged fans to rally together to get the programme back on screens after it was axed last year.

The 55-year-old actor said: "Presenting 'Tenable' was one of my favourite things to do.
"I loved the show. People tell me they still watch old episodes now and enjoy it. I feel like I should video people on my phone when they say, 'We miss Tenable', and then send them to ITV!"
'Future Tense with Richard Ayoade and Warwick Davis', an Audible Original, will be exclusively available from June 5th 2025 at www.audible.co.uk. Membership may be required.

"Seriously though, I'm gutted that I've had to move the dates this weekend, and I'm sorry for the late notice to so many people in St Albans, Oxford, Lincoln, Skegness & at Kendall Calling." Vicky McClure left The One Show viewers stunned on Friday evening as she took to the stage for a surprise live performance with rock band Reverend and The Makers. The Line of Duty star, 42, appeared on the BBC programme alongside frontman Jon McClure, 43, and actor Sam Claflin, 39, where they joined hosts Alex Jones, 48, and Clara Amfo, 41, on the sofa for a lively chat. However, it was the unexpected musical moment at the end of the show that really got fans talking. Vicky joined Jon and the band on stage for a performance of their latest track Haircut, which dropped on July 18 - and she didn't disappoint. For the performance, the actress cut a stylish figure in a black tailored jumpsuit featuring velour panels and wide-leg trousers. She completed the look with a pair of silver platform heels as she confidently belted out the energetic tune. Following her incredible performance, fans took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in droves to praise the star. One gushed: 'Yessss @Reverend_Makers and @Vicky_McClure on @BBCTheOneShow tonight! Love this tune, proper dancing music (dancing and love heart emojis) need more Rev on't telly.'; 'Brilliant! That was absolutely brilliant. It's such a bloody good song. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.'; 'Tuned in just for this! Love @Reverend_Makers and love @Vicky_McClure ❤️.' Last month, the TV star announced to her Instagram followers that she would be joining the band Reverend and The Makers on their new track. In a collaboration post, the band teased their new music video, which shows Vicky and the Reverend and The Makers lead singer Jon performing on stage. They captioned the post: 'HERE IT IS. TV legend @ singing on record for the first time ever.' 'Some words from Vicky "I'm no Whitney (laughing emoji) but i love music. Making this with Jon & Rev was such a chilled experience. All i hope is you enjoy it, sing and dance along".' 'HAIRCUT is out July 18th but you can presave now using the link in the Rev bio.' Vicky joined Jon and the band on stage for a performance of their latest track Haircut, which dropped on July 18 - and she didn't disappoint The rock band also revealed in another post that Vicky's husband, Jonathan Owen, plays the bass on their new hit single. However, it's not the first time the actress has dabbled in the music world. She previously fronted the BBC's Our Dementia Choir documentary, which aired in 2018. The two-part series followed the acclaimed actress as she embarked on a deeply personal journey to explore the true power of music in combatting dementia. In the documentary, filmed in 2018, she formed a choir in her hometown of Nottingham made up entirely of people living with dementia, aiming to discover whether music could make a measurable difference in their lives. Formed during the documentary, Our Dementia Choir is still going strong, coming together to sing and share powerful performances with audiences across the country.

Naga Munchetty 'bullying' claims 'under review' by BBC after 'concerns over behaviour'
Naga Munchetty, who works on BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio 5 Live, is reportedly under review by BBC bosses after 'bullying' complaints BBC presenter Naga Munchetty has reportedly been placed under review by BBC bosses after they received a number of complaints about alleged 'hard' and 'bullying' behaviour. Naga, 50, has been a regular face on breakfast television and has hosted the BBC Breakfast since 2014. Meanwhile, she also has a show on BBC Radio 5 Live from Monday to Wednesday. However, sources claimed a number of colleagues filed complaints over her 'bullying' behaviour on both shows, with them saying the BBC has officially moved to "place the complaints under review". The Mirror have reached out to Naga's representatives and the BBC for comment. "The review is to ascertain whether a full-on investigation is required and that could come in weeks," the insider claimed to The Sun. A BBC spokesperson said: 'While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously and will not tolerate behaviour that is not in line with our values. We have robust processes in place and would encourage any staff with concerns to raise them directly with us so they can be addressed.' It comes after we previously reportedly the presenter could be set to walk away from her presenting roles at the publicly funded corporation. It was rumoured that she had been looking for a new job and could be moving to rival radio station LBC, and it was claimed the TV star's agents 'held talks' with the news radio station recently. Reports claimed that, despite her earning double that of her BBC Breakfast co-host Charlie Stayt, she is 'keen to leave', following reports of a different bullying row surrounding the early-morning programme. Last month it was reported BBC Breakfast editor Richard Frediani, who has been editing the show since 2019, was taking 'extended leave' from the programme after industry insiders complained about his conduct. The show's editor 'shouts and swears' at colleagues while ruling the breakfast programme, it was claimed. A source claimed Richard was taking a break because of the 'damning' allegations, adding: "He needed time to reflect." Not long after, it was reported that presenter Naga didn't get along with Richard, while many staff members came out in defence of Richard, and it has been claimed Naga's co-host Charlie also had a strained relationship with Frediani. Speaking in defence of Richard, one insider told the Mirror last month: "He is not a bully at all and the truth will come out. He's a great boss and was - and is still - overwhelmingly loved by the team, who respect his drive, expertise, and journalistic ambition. He has delivered great audiences and the first ever Bafta for breakfast TV. "He can be brash and opinionated but works so hard for his team and allows people to flourish." Another source told the Mirror that some were disappointed with Naga after she raised concerns. They explained: "Yes, he is old-school and can rub people up the wrong way but it's always in the pursuit of great television. "It's the best-rating breakfast show in the country - it's not supposed to be a walk in the park. Some - Naga included - need to understand this. It feels like it's a case of presenter power turfing out a brilliant journalist."
