A SLEEPY tourist town is being turned into a "go-to shopping destination" in a £30million revamp.
The sparkling new outlet has already attracted a flurry of brands which will set up shop in July.

Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire will be the site of a swanky new retail centre decked out with designers like Calvin Klein, Adidas and even Cadburys.
The historic riverside town is known for its medieval landmarks and Tudor buildings have made it popular with holidaymakers.
Now its hoped travellers will also head over to the shopping hot spot as well after sauntering around Tewkesbury's cobbled streets.
Near junction 9 of the M5, the luxury spending sanctuary will be finished just in time for summer.

Phase one of the "Cotswold Designer Outlet" maps out a 119,150 sq ft area for clothes brands, food chains and homeware store to pop up.
Phase two will extend the retail park by 50,000 sq ft, equal to around 90 stores.
Property director at developer Robert Hitchins Simon Tothill promised more big names will be shared with excited shoppers over the coming weeks.
He branded the posh new outlet a "go-to shopping destination for visitors from near and far."
The retail mecca won't just offer browsing opportunities however with Robert claiming it will also double up as a "motorway pause."
There will be walking routes, hang-out spaces, and seating areas for adults, kids and pets.

Tourists already travel to visit the picturesque Tewkesbury, which is part of the reason the location was chosen, and so shopppers can have a rounded experience.
Tewkesbury Nature Reserve is a green space walkable from the town centre and the 12th Century Tewkesbury Abbey is hailed as an iconic landmark.
The new centre will take around two and half hours to get to bar car from London, or an hour from Brimingham and there are plenty of car parking spaces.
Lucky for retail fanaatics, Tewkesbury isn't the only unexpected area getting a multi-million pound upgrade.

"Costa del Dole" will boast four beaches, a waterpark, a fun fair, a 1,000-seat theatre and a host of other attractions which aim to bring the town back to life.
Denbighshire County Council said that the transformation is part of a long-term strategy - and not just a quick fix for the faltering area.

Located in the basement of a former pub at the Gracechurch Centre, the popular establishment first opened in May, 2024. It quickly proved a hit with locals, serving up a selection of burgers, fried chicken, and loaded skin-on chips to 75 diners at a time. Popular location The brand was founded in 2018 by Pete Hargreaves and Allan Blewitt, with the vision of serving up smash burgers alongside music and retro games. The pair began selling burgers from a catering van in a lay-by before attending local food festivals and street food events. In 2022, they opened their debut restaurant in Lichfield, which still operates. However, the lease on the Sutton Coldfield locations has now run out, spurring the entrepreneurs to hit the road and focus on pop-ups. "Our lease at the old Molloy's property has come to an end, we would like to thank the owners of the Gracechurch Centre for their support and work on promoting small local businesses into their retail spaces," the Patty Freaks said on their Facebook page. "It was a privilege to be able to take on such a historic site and attempt to fill the boots of some of the huge brands that have come before us. Popular Tex Mex chain confirms it will close down all locations after 36 years in another restaurant slaughter "We're moving back to drive more on the pop-up side of the business and going back to the street-food roots." The Patty Freaks team went on to thank their many patrons over the year of operation. "We would sincerely like to thank our customer base for supporting us on this journey it's been a fantastic year and we've absolutely loved this challenge," they said. "We're working with the team to be able to redeploy the staff, who wish to move our Lichfield restaurant, or work on the Street-food. "Hopefully this is not the end for The Patty Freaks in Sutton Coldfield but for the time being we have to bid farewell." Sorely missed Fans of the restaurant shared their sadness at news of the shocking closure. "It was always a joy putting on events in the Sutton Coldfield site," wrote on Facebook user. "All the best with everything, couldn't find a nicer bunch to work with." "You'll be a sad loss to the high street, we really enjoyed our visit last month and our takeaways over the last 12 months, good luck in your new venture," said another customer. "What a monumental shame, the only place other than Leviathan Brewing that served up decent beer in Sutton, with great food, a pool table, and arcade machines to boot," commented a third person. Experts say losing your passport or throwing away your boarding pass could leave you unable to travel or stuck with surprise bills. Cybercriminals are targeting travel documents, with stolen passports, boarding passes, and hotel bookings being sold for thousands on the dark web. Research from NordVPN and Saily has uncovered thousands of stolen travel details being traded online, putting Brits at risk of identity theft and financial scams. Verified UK passports are among the most valuable, selling for over £4,000 if they're valid and uncompromised. When passports are recorded as missing or stolen and invalidated, the risk of fraud is reduced, but such documents can still slip past some companies with more relaxed reviewing procedures. "If you have been asked by your travel agent to send over a copy of your passport, don't be afraid to ask them what they do with that scan once your booking has been completed. "Take precautions in the airport too, and don't leave boarding passes in public places, as even these have enough information to put you at risk of identity fraud."
