A seasoned leader in health journalism and digital content strategy, Sara most recently served at Dotdash Meredith, where she led editorial and business strategy for health brands including Verywell Health, Verywell Mind, and Health.com. She brings deep expertise in developing high-impact content experiences that prioritize patient needs while aligning with business growth.
Sara will lead a unified content organization spanning editorial development, design, video, content operations, and copy editing. Her leadership is instrumental in scaling MyHealthTeam's reach, quality, and impact as the largest opt-in patient community in the U.S., now spanning more than 60 condition-specific social networks.

Evergreen Cahaya in share subscription deal with DPK private equity to raise RM40mil
KUALA LUMPUR: Evergreen Cahaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Evergreen Max Cash Capital Bhd , has entered into a subscription agreement with DPK Private Equity Sdn Bhd to raise RM40 million. In a Bursa Malaysia filing, Evergreen Max Cash said that under the deal, DPK Private Equity will subscribe to 40 million Islamic Redeemable Convertible Preference Shares (RCPS-i) at RM1 per share. It said the proceeds raised will be utilised as cash capital to fund the operations of Ar-Rahnu Tawarruq services of Evergreen Cahaya and its identified subsidiaries. "In particular, the gross proceeds raised will be channelled towards the disbursement of pawn loans through the Ar-Rahnu Tawarruq services outlets of the Evergreen Cahaya group as part of its ongoing efforts to expand and scale its Islamic pawnbroking operations in line with growing demand for Islamic pawn loans. "Pending the utilisation of proceeds arising from the issuance of RCPS-i for the above purpose, the proceeds would be placed in Shariah-approved investments in accordance with the terms of the subscription agreement,' it said. Furthermore, Evergreen Max Cash said the issuance of RCPS-i allowed it to maintain its equity interest in Evergreen Cahaya while managing the dilutive impacts, as the issuance of new ordinary shares in Evergreen Cahaya would have resulted in a direct dilution of its shareholdings. "The dilution impact to Evergreen Max Cash's shareholding in Evergreen Cahaya will be on a progressive basis as and when the RCPS-i are converted into new ordinary shares in Evergreen Cahaya in accordance with the terms of the subscription agreement,' it said. - Bernama

Penang CM calls for sustainable solutions beyond RM100 aid
GEORGE TOWN: While the RM100 one-off aid under the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) initiative is very much welcomed, Malaysians are looking for more substantial and lasting measures to combat the rising cost of living, said Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. Chow, while acknowledging the government's effort amid tight fiscal constraints, stressed the need for forward-looking policies that provide long-term relief for the rakyat. "The RM100 one-off aid is a helpful gesture during tough times, but I believe Malaysians hope for long-term solutions to the rising cost of living. "While the government faces financial constraints, we need policies that create jobs and support businesses. "I urge everyone to give Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim time and space to manage current economic challenges effectively," he said on his Facebook page. In a televised address as an "extraordinary tribute" to Malaysians, Anwar announced that all Malaysians aged 18 and above would receive a one-off RM100 payment, which would benefit 22 million citizens. Anwar also announced a slew of assistance to ease the people's cost of living. Elaborating, Chow said the incentive, which would cost the government billions, was much appreciated. "However, what the people really want are comprehensive solutions — initiatives that lower the cost of doing business, infrastructure projects that generate employment and strategies that stimulate economic growth," he added, urging the federal government to expedite the disbursement and simplify the application processes related to aid programmes, ensuring that assistance reached those in need without delay. Addressing concerns over economic pressures, Chow expressed confidence in Anwar's leadership, calling for him to be given sufficient time and space to manage the challenges, including the United States' tariff situation that could affect exports. He said Anwar should be given a free hand to mediate and mitigate the current situation.

Madani govt initiatives ease rakyat's burden, say state leaders
KUALA LUMPUR: State leaders have welcomed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's latest initiatives, calling them a clear sign of the Madani government's dedication to alleviating the people's financial burdens. The measures include a one-off RM100 aid under the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) programme and a reduction in RON95 petrol prices. Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the aid, though modest, would significantly help vulnerable groups. 'For those in need, this is a meaningful gift that eases daily struggles,' he stated after chairing the state exco meeting in Seremban. He also praised the expansion of the Madani Rahmah Sales programme, now allocated RM600 million, as a strategic move to boost affordability.
