Albuquerque Crime Stoppers offer reward for info on wanted murder suspect
APD says the team was conducting patrols near Yale Blvd. and Lead Ave. on April 29, 2025. Officers saw a call for service regarding a female who was reported to be on the hood of a Dodge Challenger as it drove off at a high rate of speed. As the unit was searching for the vehicle they heard a call about a crash involving a Dodge Challenger and responded to the scene, believing it was the same vehicle they were looking for.
After confirming it was the same car, officers arrested David Cervantes and charged him with aggravated battery against a household member and kidnapping. As officers were taking inventory of the vehicle they located a duffle bag containing an AR rife. APD says the vehicle was sealed while a search warrant was obtained. After executing the search warrant, Cervantes faces additional charges for trafficking a controlled substance.

28,890 Xanax/Oxycodone pills (321 bottles)
359 grams of Cocaine
3 bottles of liquid Oxycodone
56 packages of THC Concentrate
AR Rifle with altered serial number
$49,940 in cash

I-225 north in Aurora partially reopens after fatal crash causes closure
A fatal crash on I-225 in Aurora temporarily shut down all northbound lanes of traffic on Sunday evening. Officers responded to the scene just south of the Alameda Exit around 6 p.m. Authorities said a single vehicle crashed, claiming the life of one person. The Aurora Police Department said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The two left lanes reopened around 6:20 p.m., but APD said the right lane will remain closed for an extended time while they work the scene.

THIS footage shows the moment a drug dealer nicknamed 'Gangster Granny' was arrested following an investigation into her gang picking up shipments of cocaine at an Essex port. Deborah Mason, 65, the leader of the family-run group, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs at Woolwich Crown Court on July 18. Mason and seven other people - six women and one man - were sentenced to a total of 106 years and six months in prison for their involvement in supplying nearly a tonne of cocaine over seven months. The group transported packages of imported cocaine and drove them around London, Bradford, Leicester, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff between April 2023 and November 2023. Police said regular trips were made by Mason to the port alongside the couriers to collect the cocaine. The group used encrypted messaging site Signal to communicate. Officers trawled through thousands of messages following their arrests which helped prove their criminal movements. Officers discovered through the messages that Mason - known as Queen Bee - was living an extravagant lifestyle with her profits, purchasing a Gucci collar and lead worth £400 for her cat. During the crime group's operation, the drugs had an estimated wholesale value of between £23million to £35million and a street value of £80million. The Metropolitan Police arrested all members of the gang in May 2024 except a woman called Anita Slaughter who was arrested in November 2024 after being identified from the messages.

Drunk teen killed groom-to-be in Harlem wrong-way horror after night out at NYC club, new suit alleges
The Long Island teen accused of driving the wrong-way on the Henry Hudson Parkway and killing a man 24 hours before the victim's wedding was allegedly drunk and being chased by an off-duty NYPD cop at the time of the crash. Jimmy Connors had allegedly spent the night drinking at Nebula on West 41st Street, where staff served him alcohol despite him being 'visibly intoxicated' in the hours before the horrific Aug. 24 collision, according to a lawsuit. After Connors, 17, left the club, he allegedly got behind the wheel of a white Chevy Silverado with Ontario plates and crashed into another car — prompting off-duty cop Boubacar Barry, who witnessed the wreck, to pursue him in his personal SUV instead of calling 911, according to the Manhattan Supreme Court filing. 4 Kirk Walker, a Manhattan dad of three, was just one day from marrying his fiancée when he was killed in the head-on crash. Advertisement Both vehicles then barreled south in the northbound lanes of the parkway, where the Silverado slammed head-on into a car driven by Kirk Walker and his cousin, Rob McLaurin, authorities said. Walker, 38, was one day from his wedding when he and McLaurin were killed. Walker and McLaurin had just left the groom-to-be's bachelor party and were driving north near West 154th Street in a Dodge Challenger when the 2:20 a.m. crash occurred, said Walker's fiancée, Shauntea Weaver, who filed the lawsuit this week against Connors, Barry, Nebula, the NYPD and the city.
