Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija Reunite For A New Project? Viral Photo Sparks Rumours

It should be noted that if Samay and Apoorva reunite, it will mark their first project together after the India's Got Latent controversy. Looks like Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija are all set to reunite once again for something interesting. Recently, Samay took to his Instagram stories and dropped a picture with The Rebel Kid. In the photo, the two social media stars were seen sitting facing each other on opposite sides of a table. They had microphones with them and looked like they were recording for a podcast. While Samay Raina did not mention anything in the caption of his post, the picture left everyone wondering if he is soon reuniting with Apoorva Mukhija. Check it out here: It should be noted that if Samay and Apoorva reunite, it will mark their first project together after the India's Got Latent controversy. The two faced a massive backlash earlier this year after an episode of the show grabbed everyone's attention in which YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia posed an offensive question to a contestant: 'Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?" The comment left many shocked and disappointed. In no time, the video went viral on social media with many, including politicians and film personalities, condemning Allahbadia's comment. Multiple FIRs were also filed against Samay, Ranveer and the show's makers. Following the controversy, all episodes of India's Got Latent were also removed from YouTube. Last month, Samay Raina appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) and submitted a written apology expressing regret for the content shared during the episode. Later, Apoorva also opened up about the controversy and told Zoom, 'I am really happy that it happened to me. I am grateful that it happened to me because I realised the internet is not your reality. It is a digital world; you don't live there. These people don't matter; nothing matters. Whatever you think of yourself matters. It took me so much courage to get back out there. I am glad it happened because it helped me detach from what people are saying about me." First Published: August 05, 2025, 17:42 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Gulshan Grover reveals how he reconnected with his son Sanjay after divorce from his wife, recalls how being a Punjabi father he got angry with him during a meeting with THIS Hollywood studio

Veteran Bollywood actor , often hailed as the industry's iconic 'bad man', recently spoke about his son Sanjay Grover and how he once had a high profile meeting with a Hollywood studio. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Gulshan being a Punjabi father got so frustrated as Sanjay almost opposed to everything during that meeting. Sanjay is now gearing up for the release of his next production, 'Heer Express' directed by 'OMG: Oh My God' director . As Gulshan recently appeared on Archana Puran Singh's Youtube channel, he spoke about how he reconnected with his son Sanjay after divorce from his wife. The film marks a significant moment for the Grovers — it's produced by Sanjay, who brings with him years of international experience as a development executive in Hollywood. Reflecting on this father-son reunion through cinema, Gulshan shared, 'Working on the project gave us an opportunity to reconnect,' revealing that Sanjay had spent much of his life apart from him due to his parents' separation. 'Sanjay grew up away from me, as he'd divorced his mother,' he added with candor. Now in a more reflective phase of his life, Gulshan said his focus has shifted from personal ambitions to seeing his son flourish. When Archana's husband, actor Parmeet Sethi, asked how he would like to be remembered, Gulshan responded emotionally, 'I want to see big success, big achievements, but for my son, Sanjay Grover.' Recalling a pivotal moment in Sanjay's Hollywood journey, Gulshan narrated an incident that left a lasting impression. While Sanjay was still studying at UCLA, Gulshan had a meeting at MGM Studios with former co-CEO Mary Parent. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Sanjay insisted on tagging along, excited to see the Oscars displayed in the studio's lobby. But what happened inside the boardroom surprised everyone — especially Gulshan. 'Sanjay kept contradicting everything she said. Like any Punjabi dad, I felt like taking him out and thrashing him. But, to my surprise, after the meeting, Mary handed him her details and said that a job would be waiting for him once he graduates. I was so proud. I felt like a village idiot,' he laughed. So why did Sanjay walk away from a promising career in Hollywood? According to Gulshan, the answer is simple — family. 'I am divorced from his mother, and she lives separately. Any parent would feel like enough is enough, my son has lived outside for so many years, we should live together now,' he explained. They worked out an arrangement where Sanjay lives on the top floor of Gulshan's duplex while the actor stays on the lower level. 'He was free to enter my space, but I didn't have permission to enter his space,' Gulshan chuckled. He also admitted that convincing Sanjay to return to India wasn't easy — and required a bit of heartfelt manipulation. 'I had to emotionally blackmail him,' Gulshan said, referring to how he coaxed his son to give acting a shot. Sanjay, who previously worked at MGM, recently co-produced Dear Jassi, directed by Tarsem Singh. Now, with 'Heer Express' helmed by Umesh Shukla — known for 'OMG – Oh My God' and '102 Not Out' — the father-son duo hopes to leave an indelible mark together.

Artisera's Myth, Memory, Meaning takes viewers beyond the canvas

Myth, Memory, Meaning showcases the works of four contemporary women artists — Ashu Gupta, Rakhee Shenoy, Smruthi Gargi Eswar, and Sukanya Garg. Much like the artists themselves, each of the works on display encapsulates a different style of creative expression. The media employed by these artists include the use of thread, gold leaf and paper as well as acrylic to design works that bid viewers to look deeper into each piece. While it may seem unusual, Delhi-based artist Sukanya Garg says the inspiration for her work with gold leaf, stemmed from herself. 'I've had an auto immune condition for quite a while now and once when I was sick, I started drawing cells. I suppose it was a subconscious action — I would draw a circle with a dot much like a symbolic cell. Initially, the act of repetition was a distraction and calmed me; later, I began to create other works building on this style.' This was almost a decade ago and over the years of exploring alternative practices to ease her condition, Sukanya came across Kambo, a folk healing method practised by a few communities in the Amazon that include cauterisation to specific points of the body in an attempt to purge it of toxins. Her present work on display at Artisera are reminiscent of this method — crafted on paper and using gold pens and gold leaf, a medium she began using around three years ago. The exhibition show cases around 19 pieces by Sukanya, a former economist with no exposure to the art field prior to her illness. Bengaluru-based Smriti Gargi Eswar is well known for her series titled Sister Misfortune on goddesses, and though the works on display at Myth, Memory, Meaning also revolve around mythology, the artist says they are a part of her new series The Centre is Everywhere. 'These are based on the concept of how geometrical shapes essentially converge to a centre,' says Smriti. 'In Cosmology, there is no centre to the universe — everything is central to itself. Similarly in mythology, there is no central God but many heroes, many points of reference. It is not monotheistic, and I wanted to bring to light hidden mythologies from the Indian epics.' Though she has worked with various media in the past, especially graphic art, Smriti has used acrylic on canvas to juxtapose fabled creatures and places exist with geometric shapes and lines. Myth, Memory, Meaning will be on view at Artisera till August 16. Entry free on all days; on Sundays by appointment.
