Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija Reunite For A New Project? Viral Photo Sparks Rumours
Looks like Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija are all set to reunite once again for something interesting. Recently, Samay took to his Instagram stories and dropped a picture with The Rebel Kid. In the photo, the two social media stars were seen sitting facing each other on opposite sides of a table. They had microphones with them and looked like they were recording for a podcast.
While Samay Raina did not mention anything in the caption of his post, the picture left everyone wondering if he is soon reuniting with Apoorva Mukhija. Check it out here:
It should be noted that if Samay and Apoorva reunite, it will mark their first project together after the India's Got Latent controversy. The two faced a massive backlash earlier this year after an episode of the show grabbed everyone's attention in which YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia posed an offensive question to a contestant: 'Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?"
The comment left many shocked and disappointed. In no time, the video went viral on social media with many, including politicians and film personalities, condemning Allahbadia's comment. Multiple FIRs were also filed against Samay, Ranveer and the show's makers.
Following the controversy, all episodes of India's Got Latent were also removed from YouTube.
Last month, Samay Raina appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) and submitted a written apology expressing regret for the content shared during the episode.
Later, Apoorva also opened up about the controversy and told Zoom, 'I am really happy that it happened to me. I am grateful that it happened to me because I realised the internet is not your reality. It is a digital world; you don't live there. These people don't matter; nothing matters. Whatever you think of yourself matters. It took me so much courage to get back out there. I am glad it happened because it helped me detach from what people are saying about me."

Director Francis Ford Coppola doing 'fine' after medical procedure in Rome
By Steve Gorman Director Francis Ford Coppola doing 'fine' after medical procedure in Rome LOS ANGELES -Francis Ford Coppola, the acclaimed American director of "The Godfather" movies and "Apocalypse Now," underwent a non-emergency medical procedure by appointment at a hospital in Rome and is doing fine, he and a U.S.-based representative said on Tuesday. "Mr. Coppola went in for a scheduled update procedure with acclaimed Dr. Andrea Natale, his doctor of over 30 years, and is resting nicely," the representative said in response to Italian media reports that the director was hospitalized. "All is well." The 86-year-old filmmaker was admitted on Tuesday to the Policlinico Tor Vergata, a public hospital in the Italian capital, news agency ANSA reported. The U.S. based representative declined to give any details about the nature of Coppola's medical procedure, but said: "There was not an emergency. He went to the hospital in a car." Coppola posted a photograph of himself on Instagram appearing relaxed and smiling with a message reassuring fans, "I am well." "Da Dada is fine, taking an opportunity while in Rome to do the update of my 30-year-old afib procedure with its inventor, a great Italian doctor - Dr. Andrea Natale," it said. He did not elaborate further. His U.S. representative specifically disputed as "not true" a report from the Italian website that Coppola had suffered atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat, before entering the operating room for what was to have been a long-planned surgical procedure. A spokesperson for the hospital did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment. Coppola was in Italy to promote his latest movie, the sci-fi epic "Megalopolis," a $120 million self-funded production about a visionary architect's quest to transform a fictional future version of New York City called New Rome into a utopian community. The film, which has drawn mixed reviews and struggled at the box office following its 2024 debut at the Cannes Film Festival, was reported to have received a special screening at the Magna Graecia Film Festival in Catanzaro, Italy. The Italian-American director, who has won five Academy Awards, four of them for his work on the first two films in "The Godfather" trilogy, widely considered by cinema buffs to rank among the greatest movies of all time. Kareena Kapoor Made 'Big Mistake' Rejecting Priyanka Chopra's Aitraaz Role, Likes Things Easy: Producer
Last Updated: Suneel Darshan revealed that Kareena Kapoor for the first choice for Priyanka Chopra's Sonia. Veteran filmmaker and producer Suneel Darshan has revealed that Kareena Kapoor was the first choice for Priyanka Chopra's role in Aitraaz. However, Kapoor opted for the heroine's role instead of the antagonist's role, as female villains were seen as vamps. However, Darshan thinks that she made a big mistake, and lauded Chopra for her attitude. Darshan mentioned that Kareena Kapoor prefers the easy way. 'There are times when actors miscalculate," Darshan told Bollywood Bubble. 'At that time, a negative role was still viewed as something like a vamp. And the fact that Priyanka was cast alongside Amrish Puri as his wife, so it felt more like a Shashikala-type role," he added. Darshan mentioned, 'You know, like the ones Shashikala or Bindu used to play in older films. But with time, narratives change, and so do perspectives. And I thought to myself, my God, Bebo (Kareena) made such a big mistake." He said, 'But Bebo is Bebo. She always wanted to glide through everything easily. She lost out on that role because she chose not to do it. She picked the heroine's part opposite the hero. She could have taken Priyanka's role, too, but she didn't." Darshan lauded Priyanka Chopra for choosing the role and said, 'Priyanka was at a stage where she was on the rise. She was the go-getter. Whatever she wanted, she went after and got it. And that role justified something that wasn't considered normal, it made you believe in it." Aitraaz is a 2004 Indian Bollywood thriller directed by Abbas-Mustan. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Priyanka Chopra in pivotal roles, and it explores themes of sexual harassment, power dynamics, and morality in a corporate setting. Priyanka Chopra's performance as the antagonist Sonia was widely praised, marking a turning point in her career by showcasing her ability to play a strong, negative role with conviction. Akshay Kumar's portrayal of the accused man balancing personal and professional turmoil was said to be convincing and relatable. Kareena Kapoor brought emotional depth as the supportive yet conflicted wife. Aitraaz combined elements of thriller, drama, and courtroom suspense, maintaining tension throughout the narrative. The film's music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, also contributed to its popularity. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
