Big Brother confirms return to ITV with 'new look' as iconic show celebrates 25 years
Less than 24 hours after the Love Island final, ITV has announced the return of hit reality show Big Brother. The new series marks the third for ITV - with the show originally kicking off in 2000 on Channel 4.
The show is expected to kick off this September, with a bunch of hopeful civilians set to have their every move watched by Big Brother for seven weeks, airing on ITV2 and ITVX.
Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best will be back once again - as viewers can expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions, as the housemates go up against each other in hopes of bagging that all important cash prize. It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
ITV released images of the new look eye colourful eye - and it looks like the cogs are turning. As always, it's thought fans can also look forward to a revamped house to fit with the chosen theme.
Spin-off show Big Brother Late and Live will also make a return - with an extra slice of exclusive Big Brother content with fiery debate and hot takes from our celebrity guest panel.
For those who can't get enough of their Big Brother fix, the iconic Live Stream will also make a return to screen airing seven nights a week exclusively on ITVX, after the extra drama and gossip of Big Brother Late and Live.
Although a set date has not been confirmed for the new series to start, it's expected to kick off on either Sunday September 28 or Monday September 29.
The 2024 series saw Ali Bromley walk away victorious, with a whopping 52% of the final vote, making history as the first lesbian winner of the series.
More recently, the latest Celebrity Big Brother series took the world by storm when it aired earlier this year, when Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd took home the crown just months before his lavish wedding to Hanni Treweek.
However, it wasn't Jack who stole the show, infact, it was former Love Island star Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa. The pair struck up an extremely close friendship - although they insisted they were just that. As soon as they left the famous house, JoJo broke up with her partner Kath Ebbs and she shortly went public with Chris.
It's not uncommon for those in the house to begin a romantic relationship, with Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan, striking up a relationship during the 2023 series.
However, the couple announced their shock split in April, as Henry shared a statement which read: "After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. "It's incredible sad, and we're both hurting, but we know it's the right step. We're so grateful for the love and support you've shown us - thank you."
Henry added: "Please give us some space as we figure things out privately."
Jordan also shared his own statement as he sadly wrote: "An unfortunate announcement. After many times, memories, and precious experience, Henry and I have parted ways.
"I want to than everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x."

ITV Coronation Street's Theo exit 'sealed' as fans predict dark twist for Todd
Coronation Street viewers are convinced that they've worked out how Theo Silverton will leave the cobbles Coronation Street fans reckon they've figured out Theo Silverton's departure, as they anticipate a sinister twist involving Todd Grimshaw. Todd (played by Gareth Pierce) first encountered scaffolder Theo (portrayed by James Cartwright) in March. The two quickly became friends, and it was disclosed that Theo was set to tie the knot with a woman named Danielle, with the pair sharing two children. Theo found himself shunned by his family when Danielle discovered his relationship with Todd. Theo later confessed to Todd that he had spent most of his life hiding his sexuality, after his deeply religious parents forced him into conversion therapy during his youth. Viewers of the ITV soap have been worried for Todd recently as Theo has repeatedly shown aggression. He notably threatened James Bailey after he drunkenly attempted to kiss Todd at number eleven, and even struck his own son, Miles, during a tense family brunch last week. Theo's violent behaviour ultimately led Danielle to prevent her ex-husband from seeing their children, reports Leicestershire Live. During Monday night's episode (August 4) an enthusiastic Todd informed Theo that the corner shop flat was available for rent, with George Shuttleworth later confessing that he will miss Todd when he leaves. In an attempt to lift George's spirits, Todd proposed that they accompany Dev Alahan on his stag do at the Rovers, which left Theo feeling annoyed. At the stag do, Theo became bothered when Todd took a turn on the stripper pole, swiftly pretending to have a headache and insisting they head home. Once back at number eleven, Theo admitted to fabricating the headache, confessing to Todd: "I wanted you all to myself." Following Monday's episode, numerous Coronation Street viewers expressed their worries for Todd as Theo persists in distancing him from the rest of the street. Elsewhere, some fans are speculating about Theo's potential departure from Weatherfield. One viewer commented on a Facebook fan page: "Theo is definitely separating Todd from his loved ones. This isn't going to end well once they move into the flat". Another chimed in: "I think Todd will be in an abusive relationship. It's already starting. Theo could then get arrested and go to prison," while yet another cautioned: "Todd needs to watch out. Theo is bad news." Meanwhile on the soap, fans think they know what really happened to Logan Radcliffe and who had him 'attacked' amid speculation he's been killed off after his exit aired. It comes as actor Harry Lowbridge announced his departure, having wrapped filming his final scenes. This led viewers to speculate that Logan had met a grim fate in the cell, possibly orchestrated by someone wanting to silence him after his mention of a mysterious figure named Tia Wardley. One fan took to social media to declare: "Lisa definitely had Logan killed in prison." Another viewer speculated: "So that mutual friend? Costello? Kit? Tia? Or Becky herself?" A third chimed in: "Best guess at the moment is Costello or Floyd."

Love Island's Harry speaks out on ‘breaking Helena's heart' as he reveals their final words – and Shakira won't be happy
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) LOVE Island star Harry Cooksley has spoken out for the first time on breaking Helena Ford's heart after coming second with her love rival Shakira Khan. Harry, 30, found himself going between the two women constantly during his time on the ITV2 show. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 3 Love Island's Harry has opened up on his romance with Helena Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 3 He reached the final with Shakira and came second on the show Credit: Shutterstock Editorial It seemed that he had finally settled with 29-year-old Helena when he asked her to be exclusive but just days later he found himself flirting with Shakira, 22. He soon confessed that his feelings were lingering for Shakira and when Helena decided to leave him for good, he soon found himself back in the arms of Shakira - whom he was first coupled up with. Now, the star has discussed the ups and downs in his romance with Helena and recalled the last conversation they had with each other which is likely to rattle Shakira to the core. Speaking to Amy Hart and Indiyah Polack shortly after coming second on The Morning After podcast, Harry opened up on his Love Island journey. The semi-pro footballer said: "I obviously hurt [Helena's] feelings and I didn't handle things the right way, but at the end of the day, I went after what I wanted. "I'm not in the business of hurting people's feelings, that's not what I was trying to do. I was really trying to move things forward. "I think we were great friends and before she left, she said to me we can still be friends, which is a great thing for me." Harry then continued: "It wasn't, like, there [with Helena]. "I think you feel it and I really tried to work on it and try to do the right things but this [with Shakira] was just so natural." In a very telling moment, Shakira then agreed with show host Amy Hart that Harry was likely influenced by his best mate Dejon to date Helena so that he was going out with someone in Meg's friendship group. Love Islander hits out at 'red flag' finalist The villa girls were famously divided this year and Shakira agreed with Amy's statement that Dejon didn't want Harry to date outside of their little group. Amy also pointed out how Dejon encouraged Harrison to get with Lauren as opposed to Toni, again to keep it in the same circle. In response, Harry said: "Yes, there is some truth to that. "D would naturally want that. As a four [Dejon, Harry, Meg, Helena], we all got on really well. "But I would say it was across the villa - everyone kinda saw me and Helena, apart from Toni and Yas. "Everyone was rooting for us."
