Did TWD: Dead City Just Make Maggie the Bad Guy? ‘She's Incredibly Torn,' Says Lauren Cohan
Nope. That doesn't track, not with the Maggie that we know.

TWD: Dead City Stars Tease Season 2's Higher Stakes, Surprising Moral and... What?!? 'I Won't Be in Season 3'
Given the fact that Negan brutally murdered Glenn in front of his pregnant wife's eyes, we understand that they'll never be exchanging inside jokes and sending one another funny TikToks. Friendship is and should be off the table. But it bears mentioning that in the final season of the mothership Negan proved that he had turned a corner: He saved Hershel from Commonwealth troopers. Negan also accepted that Maggie couldn't forgive him for what he did to Glenn, and in horrific fashion, no less.
The spinoff had Maggie and Negan's relationship take two steps back to take one forward. However, he again proved himself to her by going all in on her efforts to rescue Hershel from The Dama and her henchman, The Croat. Negan even allowed himself to be handed over to The Dama.
So, great, right? That's change. That's progress. That's evolution — for him. But what about Maggie? She had to assume that Negan would be tortured. Did she just, like, not care that he had put his neck on the line to help her save her son? 'Welp, that happened. Moving on.'
We were told in Dead City's Season 2 premiere that Maggie has treasured the last year with Hershel. But not enough to go back in all that time and try to save the dude who saved her kid? WTH? Negan's been subsisting on a diet of cockroaches and the occasional violin solo, and she's just been… cool with that?
'It's a very complicated thing,' Lauren Cohan tells TVLine. 'I think you see when she makes the exchange at the end of Season 1 it's not an easy decision. There's a lot of gratitude and pain in that exchange. Then when we come back in Season 2, she's incredibly torn.'
If you ask me, the tables have turned. As awful as Negan was — and we all know that he was — he got better. His friendship with Judith played a big part in that. (He even saved Dog for her!) His love for wife Annie and son Joshua played a bigger part. In his past, Negan was despicable, but in his present…
It feels weird to say it, but I like the guy.
That being the case, it's uncomfortable at best to know that Maggie just left him behind. Is that who she is now? 'You go out on a limb for me, and I'll give The Dama the saw to cut it off.' It's not a great look for the heroine. Maybe I'm being too hard on her, though. If I'd been in her place when she watched Glenn get struck out, maybe I'd be like, 'Roaches? Nah. That might be too good for that pond scum. What about slugs instead?'

‘Daryl Dixon' Is Ending, Likely Heralding The End Of ‘The Walking Dead'
Daryl Dixon While AMC has been greenlighting and filming the Walking Dead spin-off Daryl Dixon non-stop, already approving of four seasons before the third has even aired, it's all coming to an end. AMC has announced at the show's Comic Con panel that season 4 will be the last season of Daryl Dixon, a bit of a surprise given how full-steam it's been going since its premiere in 2023. Again, it's only been two years and the show is defying traditional streaming rules by coming out quickly with seasons often filming as others are airing, or near that. Daryl Dixon ending means that there is literally just a single, non-cancelled (as of now) show in The Walking Dead universe. That is Dead City, which was surprisingly renewed for season 3 recently. It stars Negan and Maggie in New York City, and has been less popular and lower profile than Daryl Dixon. But it's coming back all the same. It is hard to imagine, given this news, that the complete and total end of The Walking Dead, at least for a long, long while, is not nigh, lasting probably two more years, at best, barring any huge announcements. Everything is done: Dead City And now Daryl Dixon, but if Dead City lasted longer than when season 4 of Daryl Dixon is out, likely in 2027, I would be surprised. There have been no other spin-offs announced featuring other characters from the series, characters that I would say would have to be less popular than Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Negan and Maggie, really all of the still-alive main leads, that are now seeing their projects wrap up. The Walking Dead really was a global phenomenon for a while, its peak being back in 2014 with the introduction of Negan, albeit his brutality began a sharp fall-of shortly after. The main show ended in late 2022, but with its spin-offs ending and nothing new on the docket, this may be it. Of course, this is Hollywood and it's possible that The Walking Dead will simply be rebooted someday. Hell, I'm not even sure it's a bad idea, given some of the huge, very bad changes the series ended up making over the years (RIP Carl) that it could then have the chance to correct. It's also possible that AMC may announce even more TWD projects in the coming years, but more than anything, it feels like this well has gotten dry, and it's time to move on to other, more current projects like the channels burgeoning Anne Rice universe. Did Carrie and Aidan Break Up on 'And Just Like That'? Here's What Producers Say
[Major spoilers ahead for this week's episode of And Just Like That.] Okay, the And Just Like That... writers room must be reading the commentary online, because after bringing Aidan back last season only to put he and Carrie in a long distance relationship this season, they have decided to break them up after all. In this week's episode, Aidan becomes wary of Carrie's relationship with Duncan, and that starts a whole discussion about how he still doesn't trust her after all these years. It's a devastating argument to watch, and at the end of it, they decide to break up because Carrie admits that she's no longer "100 percent" in the relationship. Executive producer Elisa Zuritsky told TVLine that the decision to break them up was actually made pretty early in the crafting of the season. 'It wasn't a fiery debate in the room. I think it really came down to the way the previous season ended, with Aidan's family proving to be such an obstacle,' she said. She also said the team 'really did want to play it out in the real world and think of [Carrie and Aidan] as real people, and take them out of the fantasy Disney prince and princess happy ending that we were kind of playing with in season 2. It did feel like too much to ask of those two people, especially with their baggage.' Fellow executive producer Julie Rottenberg agreed, saying that it was not realistic for their relationship to move forward considering everything that's happened. 'I think we all knew their problems were systemic enough that they would not survive,' Rottenberg says. As devastating as this is, does this finally mean we'll get to see single Carrie dating around? A girl can dream!!

‘And Just Like That' fans are thrilled that Carrie and ‘manipulative' Aidan have split again: ‘She don't need that loser'
And just like that… strike three for Aidan Shaw. In Thursday's episode of 'And Just Like That,' Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her long-distance love (played by John Corbett) called it quits — for the third time — and fans are rejoicing. In the season's ninth episode, titled 'Present Tense,' the couple clash over Aidan's jealousy toward Carrie's friendship with her downstairs neighbor and writing partner, Duncan Reeves (Jonathan Cake). Aidan confesses he still has trust issues stemming from Carrie's infamous affair with Big in 'Sex and the City.' He was so manipulative.' 'I never thought I would say this, but thank God Carrie and Aidan finally broke up,' a third said. 8 Other viewers weren't as thrilled with the news of the couple's split. HBO MAX Other critics, however, weren't quite as enthusiastic. Advertisement 'Everyone seems so happy with what has happened with Aidan. I know he is no longer who Carrie needs, but did people actually hate him from 'SATC'?' one user posted. 'I always thought he was the one for her. I'm not celebrating — I'm sad about this.' Another fan was more critical of the reason behind the split, writing: 'I think it was lazy for Carrie and Aidan to break up for the same reason. What's the lesson? Men don't change? You never get over cheating? Don't try to rekindle an old romance? I think I would have just enjoyed it more if they broke up for something different.' 8 Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw and John Corbett as Aidan Shaw in 'And Just Like That' HBO MAX 'And Just Like That' executive producer Elisa Zuritsky told TVLine on Thursday that Carrie and Aidan's breakup was decided 'pretty early on' this season.
