‘Mess': Osher Gunsberg hits back in fiery TV clash
Aussie TV star Osher Gunsberg went down swinging on Sunday's episode of Dancing With the Stars, hitting back at one of the show's judges after some savage critiques of his latest performance.
The former Bachelor host danced the tango to the David Bowie classic Fashion with his dance partner Sriani Argaet, a performance that got a universally frosty reception from the judging panel.
But judge Craig Revel Horwood was the harshest, declaring Gunsberg's tango a 'right royal mess' – a description that earned a fiery response from the contestant himself.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood didn't hold back.
… so neither did Osher.
'Would you like to try going down that perspex ramp in those heels, sir? You are more than welcome to show me how to do it,' Gunsberg told the judge – whose response was a shrugged 'that is not my job.'
' … but I need you to be doing it in a tango step while the person next to you is on one foot and you're holding them – after you,' Gunsberg continued.
Horwood continued on, saying that Gunsberg's performance was 'completely erratic,' contained 'mistakes left right and centre,' and said in retrospect he should've tried to master a simpler routine.
That too drew a fiery response from Gunsberg.
'Where's the fun in trying something that's not really risky? You saw the dance I did last episode, Craig. I took big risks. You said to take big risks.'
'I would rather do it and have it not work and give it a shot.'
Osher had some fancy moves …
… but the judges were less than impressed.
Unfortunately, the risk didn't pay off: After receiving a lowly score of 15 from Horwood, Gunsberg ended up with a grand total of just 15 points, leaving him a distant last on the leaderboard. He and dance partner Argaet were eliminated from the competition, leaving four celeb contestants. Home and Away star Kyle Shilling, who received a perfect score of 40 in Sunday's episode, Felicity Ward, Mia Fevola and Shaun Micallef.
Gunsberg may have copped a battering from the judges on his way out of the competition, but it seems many viewers were on his side: Fans flooded an Insta post showing his final dance with supportive comments overnight.
'It was unfair for you to go tonight. You did a great job,' wrote one.
'Not gonna lie. I kinda cheered with Osher gave it back to Craig,' said another.

Don't miss out on the headlines from TV. Followed categories will be added to My News. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have reached a five-year agreement with Paramount to stream the show on its Paramount+ service – and the deal is reportedly worth more than a billion dollars. According to the LA Times, the streamer will house the fan-favourite animation for $US300 million ($460 million) per year for five years, earning Park County – Parker and Stone's company – a total of $US1.5 billion ($2.3 billion). The whopping amount maintains the satirical cartoon's status as one of the world's most valuable TV franchises of all time. South Park creators Trey Parker (left) and Matt Stone have negotiated a deal to house the series on Paramount+ for five years, worth $460 million per year. Picture:As part of the deal, which is still being finalised, Park County agreed to produce 10 new episodes of South Park a year, giving fans of the long-running Comedy Central series plenty to look forward to beyond Season 27, which premieres this week. The premiere date had already been delayed for two weeks as the licensing-deal negotiations were complicated by Paramount's pending sale to US media company Skydance. The LA Times reports that South Park creators were looking for a decade-long deal for the show, but Skydance – the company that will merge with Paramount – did not favour this option. Earlier this month, Parker and Stone expressed their frustrations over the licensing battle, saying in a statement that it was damaging their series. A per the deal, there will be 10 new episodes of South Park per year, so expect to see more antics from Kenny, Cartman, Stan and Kyle. 'This merger is a sh**show and it's f***ing up South Park,' they wrote in a statement posted on X. 'We are at the studio working on new episodes, and we hope the fans get to see them somehow.' According to The Hollywood Reporter, in June the duo also threatened legal action against incoming Paramount president Jeff Shell for allegedly interfering in contract negotiations with potential streamers, such as Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix. South Park first debuted on 1997 and has since released more than 300 episodes But the high-stakes negotiations were soon back on track, with Paramount agreeing to a five-year term rather than a 10-year deal proposed by Parker and Stone. Skydance signed off on the transaction. In addition, Parker and Stone are in talks to renew their previous $US900 million ($1.3 billion) deal to keep the show on US cable channel Comedy Central through to 2027. South Park first debuted on 1997 and has since released more than 300 episodes. The series has also won a slew of awards, including five Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program. Jelena Dokic shares stunning bikini photo during European getaway after denying Ozempic rumours
Jelena Dokic has stunned her fans after posting a stunning bikini selfie following her recent body transformation. The Croatian-born Aussie tennis star is currently enjoying a luxurious holiday in her birth country after wrapping up commentary duties for Channel 9 during the Wimbledon tennis grand slam. Dokic, 42, took to Instagram on Monday to share a very revealing selfie in a low-cut swimsuit while smiling at the camera. 'Holiday mode fully activated. Beach day,' she wrote in the caption. Fans of the former World No.4 flooded the comment section to praise Dokic's healthy glow amid her European getaway. 'You are glowing!,' one fan wrote. 'Great to see you happy and healthy,' another supporter said. Dokic has previously opened up about losing more than 20 kilograms during her recent weight loss journey. In March, Dokic posted a side-by-side comparison of her before-and-after weight loss, musing that she is the 'same hardworking person' regardless of her weight. Dokic has also publicly dispelled speculation she uitlised a GLP-1 weight loss medication like Ozempic and attributed her weight loss to dietary changes and gruelling gym sessions. 'Exercise and working so hard to get healthy,' Dokic wrote via Instagram last month after a commenter asked if she had utilised the popular weight loss drug. '6am gym sessions and eating healthy even when I work 18 hour days. 'But thank you for the assumptions that had nothing to do with the truth.' GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic help regulate appetite and are increasingly being used in medical weight loss programs. The revealing new selfie comes just weeks after Dokic went public with new boyfriend Yane Veselinov after months of media speculation. "You are my calm, safe, peaceful and happy place. So glad I found you," Dokic wrote alongside a romantic snap with her new partner. The new love in Jelena's life is a hospitality operations manager who describes himself on Instagram as a "food and wine enthusiast, pleasure seeker and life enjoyer". The Aussie tennis star reached a peak of World No. 4 during her glittering career, including a Wimbledon semifinal in 2000 and a quarter final appearance at the French Open in 2002. Dokic is nominated for her first ever Logie award for the Channel 9 documentary Unbreakable about her turbulent life on and off the court. In the doc, Dokic harrowingly detailed her late father and coach Damir Dokic's alleged physical, emotional and financial abuse, which allegedly occurred regularly throughout her childhood and during her professional career.
