Fans of Netflix series 'racing' to Primark for new range with 'August deadline'
Primark shoppers have set themselves an August deadline to get their hands on a range of clothing before a popular Netflix series returns to screens around the world. Some loved the creepy and dark look of the items they "had to have".
Showcased by staff at Liverpool's Primark branch (@prmrkliverpool), walls of clothing and accessories were put up for sale in the build-up to the hit Netflix series 'Wednesday', which returns on August 6 with Jenna Ortega reprising her role as the creepy gothic daughter of the well-known Addams Family in this modern spin-off.
Primark fans were shown t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, bags, and accessories—all with the character's signature gothic vibe. Prices ranged from as little as £3.50, and fans quickly fell in love with the items.
Staff wrote: "Who's excited for Wednesday Season 2?" in the video, which has since been seen by more than 218,000 people. Fans were quick to comment on how much they loved the range and what they wanted to snap up.
One joked: "My bank card just sighed hahaha!" Another added: "I love this so much!" A third posted: "Don't care if it's summer, I need those jumpers!"
Someone else commented: "Shall we get some of the tops before August?" And, one more put: "Those bags are so creepy - I can't not have one!"
A fifth added: "Amazing. I wish my Primark had stuff like this!" Shoppers can browse the full range - available for men, women and children- online at Primark's website.
It lists a few items not shown in the minute-long video, such as this £18 duvet cover, a £3 Canvas Shopping Bag and a delightfully creepy £1.50 Bath Fizzer shaped like Thing, the severed hand companion of Wednesday.
Primark is no stranger to supporting fans of Netflix shows with clothing inspired by popular shows. Recently, the discount fashion chain had a line of items inspired by the Korean thriller Squid Game when it returned following cult success at the end of December 2024 and again in summer 2025 for the final instalment.
Away from branded merch, Primark has been making waves with people looking for fashionable clothes to enhance their summer wardrobe with a little more colour than the bleak-but-accurate look of Wednesday Addams.
Lately, Primark has released what some fans have described as the 'perfect holiday dress' for £14. The bold hibiscus-patterned floral mini dress got serious TikTok attention from shoppers keen to get their hands on it before it sold out.

I'm rewatching Girls — is Lena Dunham still the voice of her generation?
I'm beginning to suspect that Lena Dunham and I are connected by some mysterious, cosmic thread. She spent her twenties among the indolent millennials of Brooklyn, then ditched them for a leisurely life in London. Last year, meanwhile, I swapped pigeons for rats, and a cobwebby Peckham house share for a little apartment east of the East River. Dunham turned her New York life into the droll, disaster-prone dramedy Girls, which ran for five seasons from 2012 to 2017 and is set (I say this on the authority of Google Maps) an 11-minute cycle from where I live. I survived my first New York winter eating chocolate almond butter cups and watching Girls. You see, we're very similar. You can imagine my sentiments, then — flattered, touched, not especially surprised — to discover that just as I landed back in the UK for the summer, so did Dunham's latest TV show on Netflix, this one set not among the iced matcha lattes of Manhattan but the peanutty pubs of south and east London. I put off watching it for a while — for how could it possibly beat Girls, a brilliantly, brutally self-skewering show that kicks off with Hannah (Dunham's fictionalised doppelgänger) getting high on opium tea and telling her parents: 'I don't want to freak you out, but I think that I may be the voice of my generation'? But this week — having at last given up on the stodgy gloom of season four of The Bear and untempted by newer offerings — I caught up on Too Much.
