RPF had rescued 36 children in Nagpur division during the same period in 2024. The effort is part of a broader initiative across Central Railway to assist lost or runaway children and reunite them with their families. RPF across all divisions of Central Railway rescued 235 children during the two months, as compared to 149 in April–May 2024. Division-wise, Bhusaval rescued 62 children (45 in 2024), Mumbai 53 (52 in 2024), Pune 51 (10 in 2024) and Solapur 8 (6 in 2024). These operations are conducted in coordination with the Government Railway Police (GRP), frontline railway staff, and NGOs like Childline.
