Proteas secure huge payday after winning World Test Championship
While the SA government have not yet revealed if the Proteas team and management will receive bonuses for winning the World Test Championship (WTC), they are still in store for a sum of over R64 million.
The ICC will pay out not less than R64 million to the Proteas, depending on the exchange rate, as the winners will pocket $18m for their efforts.
The breakdown of what players will receive has not been detailed, but the money will likely be split among the players, coaching and support staff, and Cricket SA.
It also will probably never be publicly confirmed, but the players will receive the major share of the hefty sum.

Black Caps brush aside Proteas in Harare
New Zealand opener Tim Seifert put the Proteas bowling attack to the sword at the Harare Sports Club on Tuesday. Picture: Zimbabwe Cricket Proteas spinner Senuran Muthusamy was the only standout player with ball in hand, as he followed up his 1/19 on debut last week with a tidy 2/24 on Tuesday. Seifert helped himself to what was a lacklustre Proteas bowling performance, smashing six fours and two sixes in his unbeaten knock of 66 as he led the Black Caps to a comfortable victory in the dress rehearsal for Saturday's final. Rightfully, New Zealand made light work of South Africa's mediocre 135 target, with the aggressive opening batter Tim Seifert leading from the front, putting the Proteas bowling attack to the sword at the Harare Sports Club. South Africa suffered a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of the Black Caps in Harare on Tuesday, their second of the ongoing T20I Tri-Nations Series in Zimbabwe. On the field, the Proteas were not clinical, just as they were with bat and ball, as Andile Simelane's dropped catch of Devon Conway in the first over of the defence set the tone for what would be a rather forgettable performance from South Africa. With the bat, Reeza Hendricks was the highlight for the Proteas, scoring 44 off 37 deliveries as he kept losing batting partners throughout his innings. Proteas captain Rassie van der Dussen (14), having been promoted to the top of the order, was the first partner that Hendricks lost, as the skipper was clean bowled in the third over of the match as he looked to make room to hit Adam Milne through the off side. By the end of the first powerplay, the Proteas had only 34 runs on the board, and having failed to capitalise in the powerplay, the pressure mounted. From there on in, the Black Caps bowlers established their dominance, taking wickets in regular intervals as they restricted South Africa to 134/8. "The ball was doing a bit up front, and we knew that from the first three games. We just weren't good enough," said Van der Dussen after the match. "The challenge was to find ways to negate that but we couldn't. They bowled really well and kept us under pressure. We lost wickets throughout and really struggled to gather any momentum." Despite the loss, the Proteas have secured a spot in the final of the series, and once again, they will have another crack at the Black Caps in the same venue on Saturday. T20I South Africa: 134/8 (Reeza Hendricks 41; Adam Milne 2/21) New Zealand: 135/3 (Tim Seifert 66 not out; Senuran Muthusamy 2/24) New Zealand won by seven wickets with 25 balls to spare

Proteas crushed by Black Caps again in T20 tri-series battle
New Zealand chased down their target with 25 balls to spare. South Africa were outplayed on Tuesday, falling in a convincing seven-wicket defeat to New Zealand in their T20 International tri-series match in Harare. Set a target of 135 runs to win, the Black Caps reached 135/3 with more than four overs to spare to remain unbeaten, stretching their lead at the top of the tri-series standings. While the Proteas had already qualified for this weekend's final, they were handed their second defeat of the series against New Zealand. The Black Caps were anchored by opening batter Tim Seifert who made an unbeaten 66 off 48 deliveries – his 11th T20 International half-century – as he paved the way to his team's commanding win. Left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy was the best of the SA bowlers, who struggled to hit their straps, taking 2/24 from his four overs. Proteas innings After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, South Africa had been strangled in the early stages of their innings, and they were left flailing at 38/2 after eight overs. And though they managed to pick up the run-rate, they lost regular wickets and failed to gain real momentum. However, though the rest of the top-order were unable to build on their starts, opener Reeza Hendricks stood firm for most of the innings, contributing 41 runs off 37 deliveries, while middle-order batter George Linde hit 23 not out. They did not receive sufficient support, however, and the Proteas were restricted to 134/8 by a Black Caps attack which was led by fast bowler Adam Milne (2/21), spinner Mitchell Santner (2/26) and seamer Jacob Duffy (2/33) who took two wickets each. South Africa will meet New Zealand again in the T20 International tri-series final in Harare on Saturday.

TOSS: Proteas play three spinners after Black Caps elect to chase in Harare
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner has won the toss and inserted the Proteas in the T20I clash at the Harare Sports Club. Picture: Zimbabwe Cricket Proteas captain Rassie van der Dussen lost his first toss in the ongoing Tri-Nations series in Zimbabwe, as New Zealand opted to bowl first at the Harare Sports Club on Tuesday. Despite having lost the toss, Van der Dussen highlighted that the Proteas would have opted to bat first anyway as they look to challenge themselves in setting the score, a feat they have not yet done in the ongoing series. The Proteas lost against the Black Caps last week and will be looking to level the score heading into the final of the series, which will be against the same opponent later this week. The Proteas have opted to go with three spinners in today's contest as leg-spinner Nqaba Peter, George Linde and Senuran Muthusamy will play in the same starting XI for the first time this series.
