Five savvy ways to thank your teachers this summer
Credit: Getty
These gifts are sure to get you top marks . . .
SWEET SAVING: Whip up an easy chocolate fudge using condensed milk, 88p, and dark chocolate, £1.77, both Asda.
Break up the chocolate in a heatproof bowl and add your condensed milk and pop it in the microwave.
Heat it in 15 second bursts until the chocolate is melted and give it a stir.
Pour into a deep-set tray lined with baking paper and leave to cool before putting in the fridge.
Once set, cut into chunks and package in a rustic baking paper parcel, ready to give to the teacher.
POT OF JOY: Make your own herb garden by upcycling an old plant pot with a lick of paint (or you can pick up a couple of Sojabona pots at Ikea, £1 each).
Take cuttings from existing herbs you have at home, such as basil or mint, and replant them in separate pots.
Add ribbon, 99p, Wilko, to complete your gift.
LIGHT WORK: Luxury candles come with a hefty price tag, so make your own.
I'm a teacher & there are four end of term gifts I can't STAND receiving
The Range is selling a Deluxe Candle kit for £4.99 with everything you need to make two pretty pillar candles.
Make one for the teacher and keep one for yourself.
TOP OF THE GLASS: Head to your local charity shop to find a glass vase you can revamp and pick up a pack of glass markers for £3 at Hobbycraft.
Give the vase a wash with soapy water.
Once it's dry, use the markers to write a personal thank you message for your teacher.
HOMEWORK HAMPER: Make a 'summer holiday survival kit' or 'homework hamper' with a DIY hamper kit at cardfactory.co.uk.
The set comes with a basket, cellophane, stuffing and ribbon and costs £5.99.
You could fill this with a range of budget treats such as chocolate, notepads, toiletries or pens, and add a bottle of the pretty Lidl Primitivo Rosato IGT Puglia wine, currently reduced to £4.50 when you scan your Lidl Plus app.
All prices on page correct at time of going to press. Deals and offers subject to availability.

According to cash-savvy parents, the mega retailer is now selling their viral Bluey Crocs for an absolute bargain price. Before the price reductions, customers would've had to fork out £9 for the kids-loved clogs - but now, they're going for as little as £4. Amongst the items currently on sale are Blue Butterfly Badge Ankle Strap Clogs, slashed half-price to just £4. A practical yet stylish addition to children's summer footwear, this pair of blue clogs has been designed with butterfly badge details on the upper part. Boasting flexibility and added comfort, the bargain clogs have been made with an ankle strap for a secure fit - so your little one can run around freely. However, those keen to snap up the adorable clogs will have to be quick, as many sizes are already out of stock. Another viral buy currently on sale is a pair of Bluey Stone Ankle Strap Clogs, originally going for £9 and now slashed to just £4.50. They're designed in a neutral stone colour with fun character details throughout. Finished with an optional ankle strap - perfect for all occasions. CBeebies show Bluey in shake up as bosses make exciting change With an impressive five-star rating online, it's easy to see why so many customers have been loving these cute clogs. One nan who gave the Crocs the maximum of five stars said: ''I bought these for my twin grandchildren who are 2years old, they absolutely love them. ''The clogs are well made, comfy and great fun.'' A mum wrote: ''Look comfortable and fit well. My 2 year old can get them on by himself and now wants to wear them all the time.'' What is Bluey and why are kids obsessed with it? BLUEY has become a fan-favourite series across the globe. Created and released on ABC in Australia, it also airs internationally on Disney+. The series follows the Heelers, an adorable dog family living in Australia. Bluey takes the lead alongside her mum Chilli, dad Bandit and sister Bingo. Bluey has become essential viewing for preschoolers and their parents. Shown in 60 countries across the world, it was the most-streamed series in January and February and the second most viewed programme in the US in 2023. It has even attracted a host of famous fans. Hollywood actresses Natalie Portman and Eva Mendes have made cameos and Aussie stars Kylie and Dannii Minogue have voiced a spin-off audiobook. On why the family show is so popular, Dannii has said: 'There is life before Bluey, and life after. Once you know Bluey . . . you are hooked. 'It is fun for so many ages, as we can all relate to different members of Bluey's family.' Its success has also spawned a theme park in Australia, its own land at Alton Towers and stage show spin-offs. Podcast couple Chris and Rosie Ramsey admitted being in tears at the end of the extra-long one-off episode. A fellow gran chimed in: ''Absolutely brilliant got them for my great grandson and he loves them.'' Someone else said: ''These were very sweet clogs but were to big for my granddaughter she is inbetween sizes. Very nicely made.'' The epic deal was spotted and shared on Facebook by bargain hunter Amelia Jackson who uploaded snaps of the adorable buys on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group. Informing others about the offer, she said in the post: ''Tu sale £4 for the sandals and £4.50 for the crocs.'' Dozens of Facebook users flocked to comments to tag their friends and family, as others thanked Amelia for sharing the news. A mum commented: ''Thanks for this just ordered my lil girl some.'' ''Thanks just got a whole load of Bluey stuff on sale,'' a delighted shopper wrote.

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHOPPERS have been racing to Primark to bag a pretty holiday outfit that's a "90s rewind" and only costs £20. The bargain retail giant has super-sized the floral trend with its oversized hibiscus print co-ord. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Primark's new summer outfit is only £20 3 The lightweight skirt is perfect for holidays 3 Fashion fans say the top is giving 90s vibes The cropped mesh top is priced at just £8 while the matching midi skirt will only set you back £12. And fashion fans have insisted the cowl neck cut and loud print are a throwback to the 90s, while the lightweight material is perfect for the sunshine. Both pieces are available in sizes XXS to XL and come in black or pink with a red floral pattern. Describing it on the website, the Primark team say: "Make a statement in this cropped mesh top with a bold red hibiscus print on a black base. "The semi-sheer mesh fabric gives it a light, airy feel, while the fitted silhouette and cowl neckline add a touch of effortless style. "Sleeveless and cropped, it's perfect for summer and pairing with the matching skirt. "Whether you're overseas or basking in the sun at home, this top brings a splash of tropical vibes to your wardrobe." Staff at the bargain chain's Lincoln store warned shoppers to "run don't walk" if they want to get their hands on the set while they showed it off in a TikTok video. And fashionistas have already been going wild for it, as one gushed: "Lovely for night out." "I need one for hols", wrote a second. Primark's new £10 summer top is the perfect & Other Stories dupe A third added: "Why is Primark actually eating lately." "Okay loveee", cried a fourth. A fifth added: "So cute." Meanwhile, a sixth chimed in: "1990's rewind." But not everybody is convinced by the bargain outfit's retro vibes. "Some people rock this as wallpaper in their living rooms", one joked. A second chimed in: "Looks like a nan's kitchen table cloth." "Used to have wallpaper that looked like that", a third insisted. Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "Screams 1990s .. also seen wallpaper like this I'm sure."
