OpenAI revamps ChatGPT Enterprise pricing structure: WSJ report

Time of India19-06-2025
OpenAI
has changed the
pricing structure
for the business version of ChatGPT, as it faces rising competition in the
artificial intelligence
(AI) space, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The AI giant sold
ChatGPT Enterprise
earlier at a fixed price. It has now changed the pricing structure for the enterprise AI chatbot to include a credits system that clients can use to upgrade to more advanced tools and add more features, WSJ reported. The price for ChatGPT Enterprise will vary based on the credits a user buys, allowing more companies to use the product across their workforce. Pricing for ChatGPT Enterprise isn't publicly available.
This is the second pricing revamp OpenAI undertook this week. The AI startup started selling ChatGPT at discounted prices, a move that hurt investor
Microsoft
. It discounted ChatGPT Enterprise between 10% and 20% for customers buying additional products. The company has projected around $15 billion in revenue from business customers of ChatGPT. It logged $10 billion in annual recurring revenue solely from its products as of June, with ChatGPT leading the charge.

‘I stopped being afraid of my numbers': US woman pays off $12K credit card debt with ChatGPT's help

A 35-year-old woman from Delaware is inspiring thousands online after revealing how she paid off more than $12,000 (Rs. 10.28 lakh, approximately) of her $23,000 (Rs. 19.7 lakh, approximately) credit card debt in just 30 days with the help of ChatGPT. Jennifer Allen, a realtor and content creator, told Newsweek that although she earned a decent income, managing her finances had always been a struggle. 'Not because I don't make enough, but because I was never taught financial literacy,' she admitted. For years, she focused on working harder instead of tackling the real issue that was 'poor financial habits'. Things came to a head after she became a mother. 'We weren't living lavishly, we were just surviving. But the debt piled up while I wasn't looking,' she said. To take control of her finances, Jennifer gave herself a 30-day challenge and used ChatGPT as her guide. Each day, she asked the AI tool for simple, practical financial advice and made a point to follow through. The suggestions were simple and straightforward, and the key was in the consistency. 'It wasn't some big financial hack,' Jennifer said, adding, 'It was the act of facing it every day, tracking it, talking about it, looking at it. I stopped being afraid of my numbers.' The AI suggested steps like cancelling unused subscriptions, selling household items on Facebook Marketplace, and planning meals using what was already in her kitchen. One of the biggest wins came when ChatGPT advised her to review her dormant accounts, leading her to discover a brokerage account she had forgotten about, with $10,000 (Rs. 8.56 lakh, approximately) in it. Another money-saving tip came when ChatGPT recommended cutting back on grocery expenses by using existing pantry items. Jennifer said that the strategy alone saved her hundreds of dollars. At the end of the 30 days, she had paid off more than half of her debt. Encouraged by her progress, Jennifer now plans to do a second 30-day challenge to clear the remaining balance. Allen gave simple advice to people by simply stating, 'Don't wait until you feel ready or smart enough to start. You don't have to know all the answers. You just have to stop pretending it's not happening.'

5 AI tricks in Windows 11 Photos app will change how you edit photos forever

Every day while working on my articles, I have to deal with a lot of images; cropping them, removing text, changing backgrounds and much more. I used to rely on separate online tools for each of these tasks until I started using a Copilot+ PC. Now, all of these tasks can be done using the Windows default Photos app, which is amazing. So, here is everything you can do in the Microsoft Photos app. Want to remove an object in the image spoiling the shot? Use the Generative erase feature to remove it without damaging the image. It uses smart algorithms to identify and remove unwanted objects from the image. To use it, open your photo, click Edit image, then select the Erase tool. Just brush over the object you want gone, and the AI does the rest, making your photo look like it was never there. You can now save the image or create a new copy Removing background is a frustrating task if you are using an online tool because there are very less free tools online. Microsoft eased up on this task by adding a background removal tool in the Photos app. Simply open your photo, go to Edit image, and choose Background Remove. The app instantly separates the subject, letting you customise or export it however you like. This tool works best with images which have only one object. Sometimes you want to grab text from an image, like a screenshot of a recipe or a sign and paste it into your notes. The Text Extractor tool uses AI to recognise and highlight text in your photos, making it easy to copy without typing it out manually. Open the image and click the text extractor tool, which is an icon with three horizontal lines at the bottom centre of the Photos app. It will highlight the text which can be copied, just select the text and paste it anywhere. Now this is a great feature, the Relight tool lets you adjust the lighting in your picture by adding virtual light sources. You can change their position, colour and brightness to create different moods or fix uneven lighting. To try it, open your photo, click Edit image, and pick the Relight tool. Move the light points around and tweak settings until your photo looks just right. Then you will be able to save the image with the tweaked lighting. Finding a photo in a huge collection can be a pain, but Windows 11's Photos app lets you search using simple phrases like 'beach sunset' or 'birthday party.' The AI understands your description and pulls up matching images, no need to remember file names or dates. Just open the Windows Photos app and type your phrase in the search bar. The app does the AI thing and presents you with the images best matching your query.

Leave India…: Foxconn to hundreds of Chinese engineers and technicians working at iPhone factories in India

Apple 's largest iPhone manufacturer has recalled over 300 Chinese engineers and technicians from its Indian production facilities, creating significant operational challenges as the tech giant prepares for iPhone 17 manufacturing. The mass withdrawal, which began two months ago, leaves only Taiwanese support staff at Foxconn's southern India plants, according to Bloomberg sources. The exodus comes as a major disruption to Apple's India expansion strategy, particularly as Foxconn constructs a new iPhone assembly facility in the region. While product quality may remain unaffected, assembly line efficiency could suffer during the critical ramp-up period for next-generation iPhone production. China blocks tech talent migration to rival manufacturing hubs Beijing officials have quietly pressured regulatory agencies and local governments to restrict technology transfers and skilled labor exports to India and Southeast Asia, Bloomberg News reported. This coordinated effort aims to prevent Chinese companies from relocating manufacturing capabilities to competing nations amid escalating US-China trade tensions . by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo The strategy extends beyond personnel, encompassing specialized equipment and technical know-how essential for high-tech manufacturing. China's actions come as countries like India and Vietnam aggressively court global technology companies seeking to diversify their supply chains away from Chinese dependence. Apple CEO Tim Cook has consistently emphasized the irreplaceable expertise of Chinese assembly workers, describing their skills as fundamental to maintaining production standards beyond mere cost considerations. iPhone production goals threatened as geopolitical tensions rise India currently produces one-fifth of global iPhone output, a remarkable achievement considering large-scale assembly began just four years ago. Apple had targeted manufacturing most US-bound iPhones in India by late 2026, a timeline now facing potential delays due to the technical expertise shortage. The development highlights the complex challenges facing multinational corporations navigating geopolitical rivalries while attempting supply chain diversification. President Trump has criticized Apple's offshore manufacturing plans, advocating for US-based iPhone production despite prohibitive American labor costs. China-India relations also remain strained despite recent diplomatic engagement.
