Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection Day 1: After many delays, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu was released in the theatres on Thursday. While the audience's reactions to the film haven't been positive, it has had a strong opening at the box office. The film earned Rs 12.7 crore via previews on Wednesday, and on the release day, it earned Rs 31.5 crore, taking the nett domestic opening figure to Rs 44.2 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Pawan Kalyan's film hasn't received promising reviews but on the first day, it witnessed approximately 57 percent occupancy in Telugu-speaking regions. In Hyderabad, the film had around 1000 shows with almost 66 percent occupancy. Bengaluru saw around 560 shows with approximately 38 percent occupancy and in Visakhapatnam, there were around 364 shows with approximately 63 percent occupancy. It also released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada but had very few shows in these languages. While the opening numbers sound quite promising, Pawan Kalyan's last three films had similar figures on their respective opening days but all of them crashed shortly afterwards. His 2023 film Bro opened at Rs 30 crore but could only make Rs 83 crore at the domestic box office. His 2022 release Bheemla Nayak opened at Rs 37.15 crore and finished its theatrical run at Rs 112 crore. And his 2021 release, Vakeel Saab, opened at Rs 40 crore but managed to make Rs 109 crore in the domestic market. With the mediocre reviews that Hari Hara Veera Mallu has received, it looks like the film's collections might experience a dip sooner than expected. Vijay Deverakonda Says Arjun Reddy Will Always Be A Part Of Him: 'Like Leonardo DiCaprio And Titanic'
Vijay Deverakonda says his goal isn't to erase Arjun Reddy from memory, but to offer more unforgettable films — focusing on quality. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy remains Vijay Deverakonda's defining film—he played a self-destructive, hot-headed alcoholic surgeon who managed to strike a chord with audiences. While the role launched him into stardom, it also haunted him with expectations. In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Vijay opened up about his relationship with the movie—and how he finally stopped trying to fight its shadow. Recalling a visit to a friend's house where guests excitedly asked to meet him because of Arjun Reddy, he said, 'It's a good thing. I used to fight it for the longest time because I was under the impression that I had to do something better to surpass it, and I wanted people to forget Arjun Reddy. But recently, I came to terms with the fact that it's a film that will always be loved, and maybe the goal is not to do work that makes people forget it." He compared his situation to Leonardo DiCaprio's connection to Titanic, noting that even as an actor evolves, their iconic roles stay with them. 'Like, I will always remember Leonardo DiCaprio's Titanic, but that doesn't mean he cannot or will not do other good work. But he will always be attached to it. So people can have that kind of relationship with me and their fondness for me because of Arjun Reddy. So I have left that battle aside, and now the goal is to make good films. It's not about making people forget Arjun Reddy, but giving them other memorable films that they also enjoy and that add to the list." Despite criticism for its portrayal of toxic behaviour, misogyny, and substance abuse, Arjun Reddy was a box office hit, earning Rs 51 crore globally. It was remade in Bollywood as Kabir Singh with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, Vijay is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming spy thriller Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film is slated to release in theatres on July 31. The recently released promo has already created buzz online, with fans calling it a much-needed comeback for the actor. The film's success has sparked intense curiosity among netizens, who are now digging up more information about the rising star. As a result, several old videos featuring Ahaan have gone viral on social media, giving fans a glimpse into his life before stardom. Now, a video of Ahaan has surfaced on social media, which proves that he is a true Ranbir Kapoor fan. In the clip that a fan shared on his X handle, the Saiyaara star can be seen recreating Ranbir Kapoor's charm by performing and singing some of his hit tracks. Among others, Ahaan can be seen singing Channa Mereya, Dilliwaali Girlfriend, Bachna Ae Haseeno. He is also seen recreating Ranbir Kapoor's iconic dialogue from the 2011 movie, Rockstar. Watch the video here: Knew #AhaanPanday was destined for greatness when I found out he was a fan of #RanbirKapoor — RKᵃ (@seeuatthemovie) July 21, 2025 Talking about Ahaan Panday's debut movie Saiyaara, it revolves around Krish Kapoor, an aspiring singer, and Vaani Batra, a budding journalist. As their love blossoms, they find themselves up against numerous odds. Set to a soundtrack that's already winning hearts, the film blends romance, ambition, and emotional drama. The film has been getting positive reviews from critics and the audience. It has earned over Rs 150 crores at the box office as of now. It is worth noting that the film followed nearly a 'no promotion strategy'. Mohit Suri's directorial stars fresh faces – Ahaan and Aneet. They made no public appearances before the film's release, had no collaborations with influencers, were low-key on their respective social media handles, and spoke to none of the media houses. Previously, in an interview with Just Too Filmy, Mohit Suri shared that the silent marketing was a strategic call taken in consultation with producer Akshaye Widhani and YRF head Aditya Chopra. 'Until the two actors don't have anything behind them to talk about, the conversation will be filled with questions like 'Who is the prankster on set?' or 'How is it working with Mohit Suri?' It's all redundant stuff," he said. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
