Introducing Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, this musical drama made quite an impact at the box office with an opening of Rs 20 crores. The film has outperformed the trade prediction and is expected to enjoy a further surge over its first weekend. No OTT release for 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Aamir Khan made it clear from the beginning that 'Sitaare Zameen Par' will only have a theatrical release. According to him, he wants the audience to have the big-screen experience. Staying adamant on the decision, he refused more than an Rs 100 crore deal offered by a leading OTT platform, mentioned Komal Natha. 'Sitaare Zameen Par' - About the movie Directed by RS Prasanna, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' masterfully combines emotions, humor, and a social message. While the central storyline focuses on a bold sports teacher mentoring a group of athletes with intellectual disabilities as part of his community service, the film transcends typical sports dramas. Additionally, in this spiritual sequel of 'Taare Zameen Par,' from established actors like Aamir and Genelia to the ten newcomers, every performer has given an outstanding performance. 'Sitaare Zameen Par' review 'The film mixes sentiment with spunk, avoiding overly preachy tones. ID (intellectual disabilities) is described through relatable lines like, 'Humaari kismat haathon pe nahi, chromosome pe likh ke aati hai (Our destiny isn't written on our palms — it's written in our chromosomes).' While the underdog sports narrative and troubled-coach arc feel familiar, the film's heart and humour keep it engaging,' reads an excerpt from Times of India's review of the movie. Our critics gave the film an impressive 3.5-star rating.

'Saiyaara' box office collection Day 1: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda make impressive debut with Rs 20 crore haul

'Saiyaara', the romantic drama directed by Mohit Suri , has opened to a stellar response at the Indian box office. The film starrer debutant Ahaan Panday in the lead, has scored an impressive Rs 20 crore (India net) haul on its opening day at the ticket windows, according to early estimates by sacnilk. The film, which marks the big-screen debut of Ahaan alongside Aneet Padda , beat all expectations and early box office predictions to score this impressive feat. The film's initial box office projections, based on advance bookings and blocked seats, was set to be around Rs 9.39 crore to Rs 12.49 crore. However, according to the reports, the film has surpassed these predictions, setting it up to be a potential sleeper hit. Saiyaara recorded a 49.90% occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions on Friday. The film performed particularly well in cities like Jaipur, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and the National Capital Region (NCR), where theatre occupancy rates were among the highest in the country. Mumbai recorded an estimated 43% overall occupancy rate. Trade analysts are crediting the film's success to a combination of fresh casting, music, and Suri's emotional storytelling, which seems to have struck a chord with younger audiences. This impressive Rs 20 crore debut for Panday, comes at a time when several other star kids, latest being Shanaya Kapoor , who failed to rake in even Rs 2 crore at the box office in the first week of the release of her debut film 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan'. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it legal?
