Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom finally address split rumours after cryptic posts

After endless speculation and cryptic social media activity, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have finally addressed their split. The Lord of the Rings actor, 48, began dating Teenage Dream pop star Katy, 40, in 2016, and they share a daughter, Daisy Dove, born in 2020. While they've been pretty rock solid for a while as far as the public is concerned—not counting their brief split in 2017—recently rumours have been swirling that they've parted ways. As a result, fans have been paying very close attention to the actions of both stars (such as Katy's obvious tears on stage at her final tour show) and what they're posting online. And while neither Katy nor Orlando has explicitly commented on the reports themselves, their representatives have now issued a statement. They told Us Weekly: 'Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.' They continued: 'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.' This marks the first official comment from their camps on the matter and follows a multi-layered post from Orlando hinting at 'loneliness'. Taking to Instagram, where he boasts seven million followers, Orlando reposted a carousel of quotes from Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist Carl Jung yesterday. Among the pics was the quote: 'Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.' It didn't take long for Orlando's followers to take notice of the words, theorising that they could have a deeper meaning for him. 'You are not alone😢😢😢', wrote @sate_058.' 'Preach. it's nice to sit down to think about things like this. Good for the brain 🙌💙', commented @orlandobloomhq. 'We in our therapy era 👏', added @mhapriso. June 26 was when US outlet People seemingly confirmed that Orlando and Katy were not together anymore. That same day, the movie star jetted to Italy for the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, where he rubbed shoulders with fellow A-list guests, such as the Kardashians and Sydney Sweeney. Meanwhile, it has always been believed that their young daughter is both Orlando and Katy's priority as they navigate the huge life change, as echoed in their new message to the press. Sources have claimed that the former couple 'had to admit' they would be better parents to their four-year-old if they weren't a couple. Another insider said: 'At a certain point, they had to admit it's better for Daisy to see their parents separately, then she won't grow up feeling the tension and animosity.' The Dark Horse hitmaker and her former husband-to-be, who proposed in 2019, now want to 'protect' their 'angel' daughter against 'anything adverse'. 'They are there for Daisy and have been,' added the source. 'They want to keep a friendly relationship so each can be around her separately or together.' However, some reckon Orlando is already looking to start afresh, as he reposted another motivational quote the other day about 'new beginnings'. From the account @taomeditations, it read: 'Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.' As for Katy, fans have noticed she's ditched her dazzling engagement ring on public outings. Her absence from Orlando's side at the Bezos wedding also set alarm bells off, despite him continuing to 'like' her Insta posts. Over the years, Orlando and Katy have become one of showbusiness's hottest couples—and they certainly haven't been shy in sharing the more intimate details about their relationship. Who could forget Katy's Call Her Daddy podcast interview last year, in which she confessed she'd perform oral sex on her man if he washed the dishes? More Trending On a less explicit note, though, she has spoken about her love for him, such as her interview on SiriusXM mid-pandemic. 'What I have actually learned, some of the positive… because he's seen it all, and God bless him, he's still here,' she said of quarantining together. 'It's amazing and commendable. I have definitely tested him, like… 'Oh, yeah, you think you can handle me?'' In a previous post for his first Father's Day, she also described him as 'the healer of [her] heart and the giver of my greatest gift'. Got a story? Michael Madsen slammed 'overrated' co-star in last interview before death

Michael Madsen called out Donnie Brasco co-star Johnny Depp in what is thought to have been his final interview before he died at the age of 67 on Thursday Michael Madsen slammed fellow actor Johnny Depp in his last interview before his death. The Reservoir Dogs star died on Thursday at the age of 67. Michael had been found unresponsive at his Malibu home. He was best known for his roles in the Quentin Tarantino movie, as well as his part in Kill Bill. ‌ In what is thought to have been his final interview prior to his death, the Hollywood actor sat alongside Stephen Baldwin on his One Big Movie podcast. In the chat, Michael praised Stephen's brother, Alec Baldwin, but wasn't as kind when it came to Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny. ‌ His words came after he told the host he used to have a large collection of posters, similar to the ones behind Stephen in the interview. However, Michael told how his home was destroyed after his home burned down in 2018 following the Woolsey Fire in Malibu. As the pair's chat continued, Stephen took to the phone to call his brother, Alec. Michael starred in 1994 release The Getaway alongside Alec's ex-wife Kim Basinger. Sharing a funny story from the time, Alec said the duo were keen to ditch filming fora day. He claimed that when Michael's phone in his hotel room rang, he answered it. He said he put on a hilarious mix of a Latino and Chicago accent as he did so before hanging up on the caller. Michael obviously remembered the moment well and laughed: "'Goddamnit, Alec, you're the funniest mother f***er." ‌ But he confessed to thinking Johnny's performance in Donnie Brasco was overrated. Johnny starred opposite Al Pacino in the Mafia movie, playing an FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate the family of one of the mob's most prominent members. He then finds himself getting caught up in their world and grows further apart from his own. And Michael, who starred as Sonny Black in the production, admitted he was underwhelmed by Johnny's performance. He said: "I don't get it," when Johnny's name was mentioned in the chat. "It just didn't work for me,' he said of his work. 'There's no way that guy would've been let into the family." ‌ Sharing his thoughts on Johnny's ability in the movie, he added: "Yeah. It wasn't terrible, it was just boring. It was lifeless. There was a lifelessness to it that I couldn't comprehend. It made no sense to me.' Michael died on Thursday after a suspected cardiac arrest. According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, no foul play is suspected. A statement released by managers Susan Ferris and Ron Smith, and publicist Liz Rodriguez read: ""In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life. "Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many."

Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom has shared a series of quotes. attributed to psychologist Carl Jung, following reports in recent weeks that he has split from Katy Perry Orlando Bloom has shared a series of cryptic quotes referring to "darkness" and "loneliness" following his reported split from his fiancée Katy Perry. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, and Katy, 40, have reportedly parted ways after nine years together. The couple, who are parents to four-year-old daughter Daisy, have faced speculation over their relationship in recent weeks, with there once even the suggestion of potential "make or break talks" in the future. ‌ Following yet more reports that they had separated, Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando has shared a series of quotes, which aren't attributed to him, on Instagram. They featured in a post that he shared on his account yesterday. ‌ He shared a post by the account @sapienkind which focused on the late Carl Jung, who's considered the founder of analytical psychology. The post included more than a dozen quotes attributed to the psychologist. One quote included in the repost from Orlando was about loneliness. It read: "Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself." Whilst another of those featured in the post focused on love and power. That quote read: "Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other." "Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness," one quote read. Whilst another read: "Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul." Orlando later shared his post on his Instagram Story. He went on to highlight some of the quotes in particular, including specifically sharing the loneliness comment and the one that had referenced touching the human soul. ‌ He also highlighted another quote on there. The third quote from the post that he shared on its own through his Instagram Story yesterday read: "We are not what happened to us, we are what we choose to become." It comes after Orlando previously shared some quotes from other sources just days ago. As reported at the time, he posted a quote attributed to Buddha that read: "Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most." ‌ Amid ongoing speculation over his relationship with singer-songwriter Katy, it's been reported that they are "amicable". A source told US Weekly for an article that was published last week: "It's not contentious at the moment." The source claimed that the apparent separation has been "a long time coming," adding that things between them have been "tense" for months. They said that Katy is "of course upset" but "relived" to not have a second divorce ahead of her.
