Despite the nasty injury, breaking his leg, Sebastian made light of the situation, posing in his bed and later down the pub with a pint, while still in his medical gown.
He wrote: 'New Hair! New Normal! Dear Souzles, forgive the radio silence! Three weeks ago I broke my leg falling off my bike.'
He credited 'very very kind people' who helped get him to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, as well as the team who looked after him once at A&E.
'You know who you are and I will never be able to repay you,' he commented.
Praising the 'extraordinary team', he said: 'the gorgeous paramedics, doctors, nurses, domestic and administrative staff, all of whom made me feel so welcome and comfortable and safe.
'As it turned out, I had a tibial plateau fracture (more commonly known as bike leg) and needed an operation.'
'St Mary's is one of the best trauma centres on planet earth and so, naturally, there were lots of poor people with injuries far graver than mine queuing up for operations that needed doing quickly, which meant my mangled knee would have to wait a little bit before getting patched up,' he continued.
'And so it was that I ended up spending the most wonderful, inspiring, insightful, love-filled fortnight on St Mary's Valentine Ellis and Zachary Cope wards, waiting for my surgery!'
Sebastian noted: 'I have never been treated with such kindness, care, respect, sensitivity and love, nor have I ever seen such professionalism and compassion shown so consistently by anyone to everyone, ever.'
'Thank God for @nhsengland @nhsenglandldn,' he said. 'As far as I'm concerned the NHS is the greatest institution ever invented and should be supported, protected and celebrated at all costs. Forever.'

Another added: 'You 'll bounce back in no time Sending you lots of love'
While a fan account for The Life List wrote: 'My sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery to you, beloved Sebastian!'

New data shines light on ‘staggering' NHS waiting list
An analysis by MBI Health reveals that three million patients in England have not yet received an appointment after being referred by their GP to specialist care. This figure accounts for nearly half of the 6.23 million patients currently on NHS waiting lists, leading the Patients Association to dub it an 'invisible waiting list'. Delays in initial assessments are contributing to late diagnoses, worsening patient symptoms, and increased strain on emergency services, and the Patients Association describes the problem as 'staggering'. Approximately 70 per cent of referral-to-treatment pathways involve patients who have not been seen, with one million of these three million having waited over 18 weeks. While the Department of Health and Social Care noted progress in reducing overall waiting lists, it did not comment on the specific issue of the three million unseen patients.

For the performance, the actress cut a stylish figure in a black tailored jumpsuit featuring velour panels and wide-leg trousers. She completed the look with a pair of silver platform heels as she confidently belted out the energetic tune. Following her incredible performance, fans took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in droves to praise the star. One gushed: 'Yessss @Reverend_Makers and @Vicky_McClure on @BBCTheOneShow tonight! Love this tune, proper dancing music (dancing and love heart emojis) need more Rev on't telly.'; 'Brilliant! That was absolutely brilliant. It's such a bloody good song. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.'; 'Tuned in just for this! Love @Reverend_Makers and love @Vicky_McClure ❤️.' Last month, the TV star announced to her Instagram followers that she would be joining the band Reverend and The Makers on their new track. In a collaboration post, the band teased their new music video, which shows Vicky and the Reverend and The Makers lead singer Jon performing on stage. They captioned the post: 'HERE IT IS. TV legend @ singing on record for the first time ever.' 'Some words from Vicky "I'm no Whitney (laughing emoji) but i love music. Making this with Jon & Rev was such a chilled experience. All i hope is you enjoy it, sing and dance along".' 'HAIRCUT is out July 18th but you can presave now using the link in the Rev bio.' Vicky joined Jon and the band on stage for a performance of their latest track Haircut, which dropped on July 18 - and she didn't disappoint The rock band also revealed in another post that Vicky's husband, Jonathan Owen, plays the bass on their new hit single. However, it's not the first time the actress has dabbled in the music world. She previously fronted the BBC's Our Dementia Choir documentary, which aired in 2018. The two-part series followed the acclaimed actress as she embarked on a deeply personal journey to explore the true power of music in combatting dementia. In the documentary, filmed in 2018, she formed a choir in her hometown of Nottingham made up entirely of people living with dementia, aiming to discover whether music could make a measurable difference in their lives. Formed during the documentary, Our Dementia Choir is still going strong, coming together to sing and share powerful performances with audiences across the country.
