Sneak peak at cast's final days on Neighbours set as beloved Aussie soap wraps filming of last ever season
A slew of photos were posted to Facebook and Instagram on Friday showing the cast during the last stretch of filming, along with a caption that pulled on long-time watchers' heartstrings.
'Today marks the final day of production on our beloved Neighbours,' it read.
'It's with a heavy heart that our incredible cast and crew wrap for the final time. As sad as this day may be, we can't wait for you to see the amazing storylines that are about to unfold over the coming six months.'
The caption ended: 'Together we have been, and always will be, the perfect blend.'

In one of the images, veteran stars Stefan Dennis, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Jackie Woodburne and Alan Fletcher stood alongside each other with pained smiles as they waved goodbye to an era.
Another showed the whole Neighbours cast dressed up warm as they posed on Ramsay Street for the last time during their final stint on set.
As four decades of Neighbours came to an end last week, Annie Jones and Stefan Dennis showed support for their fellow cast members in an emotional final day on set.
The actress, 55, first appeared on the beloved soap in 1986 as Jane Harris, aka Plain Jane Superbrain, and was on hand this week to offer a supportive shoulder.
She was seen with her arm around fellow cast members as they came together to mark the end of an era at Melbourne's Nunawading studios.
Annie chose to step away from the spotlight in 1989 to look after her late mother, Elizabeth, who battled Alzheimer's disease and passed away in 2016.
She later reprised her role in 2018 and has been a regular fixture on the show ever since.
Soap veteran Stefan, 66, who has played Paul Robinson on the series for four decades, was also seen on set for the final scenes of the concluding episode.
The actor, who was part of the original Neighbours cast when it debuted in 1985, left the show in 1992 but returned in 2004.
He clutched buckets of Chupa Chups lollipops for his castmates.
'I never thought a single show would give me the greatest adventures of my career, spanning 40 years,' Stefan said in a statement released by Prime Video.
'Without Neighbours, I would not have met the people, been to the places and lived the experiences of a lifetime.'
The final episode of Neighbours is set to air on December 11, and the news will undoubtedly be a devastating blow to fans across the globe who have seen the ongoing drama axed three times.
Just two years ago, fans were gearing up for what was then billed as the 'finale' before Amazon swooped in with a lifeline.
The impact of Neighbours is immeasurable and has produced household names like Kylie Minogue and Margot Robbie.
As this chapter of the Ramsay Street story comes to a close, executive producer Jason Herbison described the soap as 'special', adding that it has been a 'privilege' to oversee the recent seasons.
The producer has been with the show intermittently since 1990 when he landed a storyliner position.
He told Metro: 'We have added 460 episodes to our legacy of over 9000 episodes, something we all feel proud of.
'Once again, we will be resting the residents of Ramsay Street on a hopeful note, with some tantalising possibilities for a future chapter.'
According to the publication, sets have already begun to be dismantled at the production base on the outskirts of Melbourne.
The studio site, which was sold to property redevelopers several years ago but is on a long lease to programme-makers Fremantle Media, is expected to be reused for other productions in the future.

Emmerdale legend John Middleton joins rival soap in truly evil role – and he's already started filming
EMMERDALE legend John Middleton has joined rival soap Hollyoaks in a major new role. The actor - who is best known for playing kindly vicar Ashley Thomas in the ITV soap - has signed up as a new series regular for the Channel 4 show. 2 And he's world's away from his former character. The Sun can exclusively reveal that John will be playing a truly evil mob boss kingpin - and he's already started filming. A source said: 'People usually think of Ashley when they see John but that won't be happening any more, Fraser is about as far away to the kindly vicar you can get. 'He's possibly the most evil character Hollyoaks has ever had - and for a village plagued by serial killers, that's saying something. 'Fraser will make his entrance very soon and he's got more than one connection to the village with his twisted family already there.' Fraser's connection to the village will also be revealed as his full name is Fraser Black snr - the dad of notorious villain Fraser Black. And he's the grandfather of villains Clare Devine, Grace Black and Rex Gallagher - but it may not be a happy reunion when they come face to face. The source added: "Fraser's first meeting with Clare is explosive - it's going to be a real battle between them." The Channel 4 soap will celebrate its 30th anniversary this October with a huge month of celebrations as well as a trademark stunt. Show boss Hannah Cheers told us: 'You can't do a Hollyoaks commemoration without some kind of spectacle. So there will be a stunt.' And more than that Hannah also revealed a huge battle between two Hollyoaks titans will take centre stage for October. Having recently returned from the dead to the village after 12 years, Clare Devine is back and she's set to clash against serial killer Jez Blake in the run up to the big anniversary. 'Well, yes, obviously we've got two kind of Hollyoaks titans here,' Hannah added. 'We've got kind of very iconic Hollyoaks faces. And it's not an accident that they are both in the show in the run up to the 30th anniversary.'

The 2025 Curse of Corrie – how the soap's stars have suffered heartbreaking splits this year
IT is safe to say that 2025 really has not been a great year for the country's longest running soap opera Coronation Street. From budget cuts to episode axes to a major cast cull, the show has found itself in the spotlight for mostly the wrong reasons this year. 7 7 But it isn't just on-screen where things have been going from bad to worse. Beyond the cobbles, the stars of the show have also been dealing with their own personal heartbreaks. It appears to be the year of off-screen splits for the Weatherfield lot too with many of the show's cast calling it a day with their beloved partners. From sirens of years gone past to current fan favourites on the show, it's been a pretty heartbreaking year for the stars of soap. The Sun takes a look at some of the Corrie's casts shock splits and what drove them to breaking point in their once solid romances. Katie McGlynn 7 Sinead Tinker actress Katie McGlynn left her fans stunned when she was revealed to be in a relationship with forgotten The Only Way Is Essex star, Ricky Rayment. This week, it was confirmed that Katie, who started dating former reality star Ricky after meeting on a cruise ship in 2023, had decided to call time on their romance, despite the couple sparking engagement rumours last February. They quietly began to remove traces of each other from their social media before their split was revealed by the MailOnline. One source said: "Katie and Ricky have ended their romance, they're still friends and want to remain civil but in terms of a romantic relationship, it's definitely over." They added that they found it "difficult" to maintain a long distance relationship, with Katie in Manchester and Ricky in Essex. Ex-Coronation Street & Strictly star 'headed for divorce' after just two years as she deletes husband from social media Ricky, who was previously engaged to Marnie Simpson, rose to fame on the ITV reality show in 2012 before leaving 10 years ago. Georgia May Foote 7 Another former soap actress who has been facing a heartbreaking battle is Katy Armstrong star Georgia May Foote. The Sun told earlier this week how the actress was headed for divorce with her husband Kris Evans just two years on from their intimate wedding ceremony. Georgia has removed her wedding ring and wiped all traces of the musician who she once called her 'best friend' from her Instagram page — including glossy snaps from their wedding. A source told The Sun: 'Georgia's marriage to Kris seems to be over. 'It's on the rocks. 'She's looking to the future and is surrounded by friends and her family.' Despite the split, the pair are understood to still be living together as they figure out their next steps amid the split. A source admitted that the pair were happy enough to still be living together but Georgia isn't sure that Kris fits into her life moving forward following a devastating fire at her nail salon. The actress opened the salon amid struggles to find acting work and financial hardship. She is now aiming to crowdfund to raise cash in the wake of her split and the business burning down. Georgia Taylor 7 At the start of the year, it was revealed that Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor had split from her co-star lover. Whilst on-screen, Toyah enjoyed an on-off marriage with husband, Imran Habeeb, away from screens, actress Georgia was dating her on-screen husband's actor in real life - Charlie de Melo. The 44-year-old had been romancing the soap hunk since late 2022 - just months after Charlie's character was killed off the soap and their pretend marriage crumbled. However, it is thought that the pair quietly called it quits in late 2024 before the news was made public in January of this year. A friend revealed: 'Georgia and Charlie are no longer a couple, but they remain friends who care about each other deeply. 'They have lots of happy memories together, but are both really focused on work at the moment and looking forward to the future, there are no hard feelings.' Charlie's character was killed off in June 2022 when he died of a heart attack, leaving millions of Corrie viewers in tears. Georgia said at the time she was heartbroken by Charlie's decision to leave the ITV show. Speaking in 2022, she said: 'I absolutely adore him. He's been a dream. "He's so funny so we laugh a lot but he is honestly one of the most supportive people I have ever worked with." Shortly after Georgia's gushing comments, they found themselves starting a romance in real life. Tina O'Brien 7 Sarah Platt actress Tina was left nursing her own heartbreak earlier this year when it was revealed she had split from her husband, Adam Crofts. It is understood the pair called it quits at the top of the year following a stressful house move. The 41-year-old soap actress decided it would be better for them to live apart after wishing to spend some time alone. They both quickly ditched their wedding rings and decided to unfollow each other online. However, sources insisted they were "still close" and would remain so for the sake of their son, Beau. Tina and Adam started dating in 2011 before marrying on New Year's Eve in Manchester in 2018. Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025 ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap. This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama. Colson Smith - Craig Tinker The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig's on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role. Sue Cleaver - Eileen Grimshaw After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I'm A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she's already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future. Luca Toolan - Mason Radcliffe Bosses decided to axe the teenage character after just 16 months after he first joined the show. Recent scenes saw Mason stabbed by his criminal brothers after his pal Dylan brought a knife in an attempt to defend him. Sue Devaney - Debbie Webster In November 2024, we revealed that Debbie Webster is set to be killed off after 40 years on the cobbles. The character will die as part of a heartbreaking long-running dementia storyline. Charlotte Jordan - Daisy Midgeley The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she's hungry to see what other opportunities await. Shelley King - Yasmeen Metcalfe The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter.

Dancing With The Stars delivers elimination shock as audience-voted twist sees Aussie icon sent home
The curtains have closed for yet another beloved, big-named Aussie celebrity on Dancing With The Stars. After a special episode celebrating the kings and queens of song and dance, TV royalty was sent packing with a paso doble that lacked enough punch for the audience. Rebecca Gibney danced for the last time on the Channel 7 show on Sunday, earning 28 points as she took to the floor to Whitney Houston 's Queen of the Night. Judge Mark Wilson was pleasantly surprised by the Gold Logie winner's improvement since her last performance, however, pointed out that she lacked paso body shapes, which ultimately put her at peril on the leaderboard. The Bachelor 's Brittany Hockley had temperatures rising in a steamy tango to Kylie Minogue 's Padam Padam, scoring herself 33 points and a big hoorah from the judges. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Mark was so impressed by Brittany's quick adaptation to the ballroom style that he gave her his royal wand of approval. However, it was boxing star Harry Garside that floored Judge Sharna Burgess as he performed a sexy rumba to John Farnham's A Touch of Paradise in a half-buttoned silk shirt. His hard work, dedication and sensuality on the dance floor earned him kudos with Sharna and 25 points on the board, but Craig Revel Horwood wasn't as impressed, adding that he felt his dancing was disconnected. 7NEWS presenter Michael Usher was the picture of grace as he suited up and took on the Viennese waltz to Adele's One and Only. Earning a solid score of 29, Craig praised Michael for bringing class to a known-to-be-tricky dance format. Helen Richey had audience members blushing as she flirted with AFL icon Trent Cotchin, who was Elvis for the night in a rocking and rolling Jive. Donning his own blue suede shoes and a sparkly blazer to match, Trent topped the leaderboard with 35 points after all four judges were left in awe over his performance. Even hard-to-please Craig gushed that he 'loved it', which no doubt elicited a nation-wide gasp. Boxing star Harry Garside (pictured) floored Judge Sharna Burgess as he performed a sensual rumba to John Farnham's A Touch of Paradise in a half-buttoned silk shirt After our beloved celebrities had left their all on the dance floor, the studio audience's votes were combined with the judges' scores to reveal a new ranking. Much to his relief - as well as judge Sharna's - Harry was lifted from rock bottom of the leaderboard, and we instead said goodbye to Rebecca. The Flying Doctors alum thanked her dance partner Ian Waite for an unforgettable experience on the show, while raving about the magic behind the scenes of the series. 'The amount of work that goes into this show. The costumes are amazing and the makeup is amazing,' she gushed. 'Everyone from the judges, the production crew and everyone behind the scenes – it's mindboggling how extraordinary everyone is and I'm going to miss it,' she admitted. Last week, another celebrity twirled off the Dancing With The Stars dance floor for good. In a surprise twist, TV presenter Karina Carvalho was sent home, becoming the second contestant to be eliminated from the hit Channel Seven competition. Dancing With The Stars continues on Seven on Monday at 7.30pm
