
LIST: Thunderstorm floods several roads in Metro Manila on Monday, June 23
Several roads in Metro Manila were flooded on Monday due to thunderstorms brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said as of 3:36 p.m., the following road sections are flooded:
Commonwealth Ilang Ilang Eastbound: Gutter deep ( 8 inches ) Passable to all types of vehicles
Commonwealth Tandang Sora EB: Gutter deep ( 8 inches ) Passable to all types of vehicles
Commonwealth-Batasan: Gutter deep ( 8 inches ) Passable to all types of vehicles
Luzon corner Commonwealth Southbound and Northbound: Half Tire (13 inches ) Not Passable to light Vehicles
Commonwealth Ever EB: Gutter deep ( 8 inches ) Passable to all types of vehicles
C5 Katipunan Ateneo gate 2.5 NB : Gutter deep ( 8 inches ) Passable to all types of vehicles
EDSA Aurora Blvd service road NB: Gutter deep ( 8 inches ) Passable to all types of vehicles

The Southwest Monsoon will bring rains over severeal areas. File photo The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting Visayas, Mindanao, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the western section of Northern Luzon on Sunday and will bring rains, PAGASA said. Metro Manila, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides. Bicol Region and the rest of Mindanao, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon meanwhile will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country. Habagat to continue bringing rain across PH
Most parts of the Philippines will have cloudy to rainy weather because of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), PAGASA said in its Saturday afternoon forecast. The monsoon is expected to cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Albay, and Sorsogon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, the rest of MIMAROPA, and Mindanao. The rest of Luzon will expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions. Meanwhile, the country may experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
