Ioan Gruffudd packs on the PDA with pregnant wife at The Fantastic Four premiere, 20 years after he starred in the original movie
The Welsh actor, 51, looked every inch the proud father-to-be as he tenderly cradled his new wife's growing baby bump while posing on the blue carpet.
Ioan famously portrayed the role of Mister Fantastic in the 2005 version of the Marvel film, starring alongside Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis.
And 20 years later, Ioan stepped out in support of his successors as he and Bianca arrived at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to watch the movie.
The film star cut a dapper in a black suit with a white shirt as he cozied up to actress Bianca, 32, whom he married in April this year.
Meanwhile, the mother-to-be looked radiant as she displayed her bump in a strapless gray mididress, which she paired with black sandals and a black clutch bag.
The couple looked happier than ever despite Ioan's bitter legal battle with his ex Alice Evans, 56, who it's reported to have demanded more support money for her and their two young daughters.
The film marks the latest reboot of Marvel's iconic superhero team and is one of the studio's most anticipated releases in years.
It follows the title characters as they must protect Earth from the nefarious villain known as Galactus.
The film is set in what Marvel describes as, 'a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world,' a nod to the comics origins.
The comics - created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby - debuted in 1961 in what was known as the Silver Age of comics.
The film will be the Fantastic Four's first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the quartet has been on the big screen before.
20th Century Fox released Fantastic Four in 2005, starring Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans, Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis.
The film took in $333.5 million worldwide and spawned the 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
The studio also released the much-maligned 2015 Fantastic Four reboot starring Miles Teller, Michael B Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.
In February, Marvel fans were delighted to see the first-look trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
They took to social media to give their opinions on the latest instalment of the superhero franchise, with one person writing on X: 'Okay the Fantastic Four trailer wasn't bad. I'm pleasantly surprised.'
Another added: 'I'm not even a Fantastic Four fan, but this looks really sleek. It's nailing the period setting in the same way that First Avenger did.'
Someone else weighed in: 'Watched the Fantastic Four trailer and I actually am excited for a Marvel movie again.'
And another social media user described the Fantastic Four comic series as 'the only ones I've been able to stomach,' adding, 'The trailer looks so great. I need this.'
The film will be released nationwide on July 24.
Meanwhile, Julia Garner, Pedro Pascal, and Natasha Lyonne led the stars at the premiere, as it made its debut as another superhero juggernaut, James Gunn's Superman, was ready to battle after topping the box office for two weeks in a row.
Julia looked leggy in a strapless blue metallic Gucci gown, featuring a thigh-high slit, with black stilettos heels selected by stylist Elizabeth Saltzman.
Hairstylist Bobby Eliot smoothed the 31-year-old Wolf Man actress' platinum-blonde curly pixie cut, and make-up artist Zoe Taylor applied her white highlighter and neutral pout.
Garner won the gender-swapped role of Silver Surfer over Get Out alum LaKeith Stanfield, and she studied comic books and surfing to prepare to play the Marvel baddie.
Pedro donned a white blazer over a matching tank top with a black-and-white cravat around his neck, a red carnation in his lapel, black wide-leg pants.
The Chilean 50-year-old studied an octopus to get an idea of how to convincingly play the flexible Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic.
As usual, Pascal was joined on the blue carpet by his transgender sister Lux Pascal.
Pedro also posed with his onscreen leading lady Vanessa Kirby, and he affectionately touched her baby bump.
The expectant 38-year-old - who plays Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman - wore a blue fishnet mermaid dress and stilettos.
The four-time Emmy nominee made sure to take pictures with his castmates Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn, who also wore black-and-white formal attire.
Elegant: As usual, Pascal was joined on the blue carpet by his transgender sister Lux Pascal
The 31-year-old Englishman - who plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch - also ditched his necktie in an off-white top and blazer with black pants and patent leather Oxfords.
Matt Shakman's $200million-budget reboot, set in a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic alternate universe known as Earth-828, hits on Friday.
Meanwhile, Natasha took the plunge in a black-patterned bustier and fishnet bejeweled maxi-skirt.
Relaxed: Joseph Quinn - who plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch - also ditched his necktie in an off-white top and blazer with black pants and patent leather Oxfords
Suited: Ebon Moss-Bachrach - who plays Ben Grimm/The Thing - opted for all black suit and patent leather Oxfords with no necktie

Vanessa Kirby confirms huge Fantastic Four secret everyone is talking about
Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Vanessa Kirby has confirmed the truth behind that Fantastic Four mid-credits sequence. The British actress, 37, plays Sue Storm—or the Invisible Woman, to those in the know—in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Sue makes up one quarter of Marvel's First Family, appearing alongside husband Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), hotheaded brother Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) and human rock face The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as the titular Fantastic Four. With the Fantastic Four's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut out now, audiences have been flocking in droves to witness their arrival. The team may have their hands full battling cosmic world-eater Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), but there'll be an even bigger villain on fans' minds once the end credits finish rolling. With the cat out of the bag, Kirby has clarified what Doctor Doom's cameo at the end of the film means… and confirmed that star Robert Downey Jr. is already very much back. In the first of two post-credits sequences, Sue is shocked to find a menacing hooded figure looming over her young son, Franklin. Fans will already know this to be the Fantastic Four's longtime nemesis, Doctor Doom, who will be played by Robert Downey Jr. in the upcoming sequel, Avengers: Doomsday. Although the villain's face is obscured, Kirby has revealed that it was indeed Downey Jr. behind that hood. 'Yeah! Robert's never not been on set,' she told Variety when asked whetherRDJ was present for the shoot. She continued: 'He's always there. He is our leader. We call him our Godfather. He's looked after us. This sequence was filmed by the Russo Brothers as part of their work on Avengers: Doomsday and shot while Kirby was pregnant in real life. 'It's such a joy working with the Russos and him, because they've had such deep collaboration for so long,' she revealed. 'And it's been amazing being pregnant and working on Avengers. I felt so inspired and so relieved that I've been so taken care of. It's been a really beautiful journey. Robert is just doing incredible work. I'm so excited.' It was announced last year that Downey Jr. would be returning to the long-running franchise, six years after being killed off in Avengers: Endgame. This came as Earth's mightiest heroes faced off against purple menace Thanos (Josh Brolin) for the fate of the universe. This spelt the end of Downey Jr.'s career-defining stint as Tony Stark—aka Iron Man—sacrificing himself at the end of the film to secure the future of reality as we know it. A few years later, it was confirmed that he would be returning, albeit in an entirely different role. The actor's appointment to the post was unveiled at last year's Comic-Con, when a cloaked Downey Jr. removed his mask to reveal that he would be playing Doom, real name Victor von Doom. This character was previously played by late Nip/Tuck actor Julian McMahon in the 2005 and 2007 films and by Toby Kebbell in the 2015 reboot. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Doom's brief appearance at the end of First Steps gives little away as to what he has planned, although we do know it involves Sue and Reed's infant son. He will spearhead a massive cast in Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently set for release on December 26, 2026. More Trending Names already announced include Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright and Paul Rudd, as well as X-Men actors Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden. Of his return to the MCU, Downey Jr. joked: 'New mask, same task. 'What did I tell you? I like playing complicated characters.' The Fantastic Four: First Steps is out in UK cinemas now. Got a story? Amusement park ride stops in mid-air leaving thrill seekers dangling in terror
Shocking footage captures an amusement park ride stopped in mid-air, leaving riders dangling high above the ground. The Sol Spin ride at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, suddenly malfunctioned Saturday afternoon as it was rotating 360 degrees. Video from the Citizen App showed about 20 riders stuck in mid-air, with many screaming, some swinging their legs, and others leaning sideways on one of the ride's six arms. "The safety of our guests is a top priority. Today the ride did not complete a full cycle as a safety precaution. The ride was stopped for approximately five minutes,' Knott's Berry Farm said in a statement to ABC7. The ride then reopened after 'a full safety inspection,' the statement continued. The Independent has reached out to the amusement park for more information. 'This thrilling ride is one for the brave,' Knott's Farm says of Sol Spin. It rotates riders in three directions simultaneously, according to the park's website. 'Sol Spin sends guests on a thrilling adventure over six stories high as they rotate in all directions on one of six spinning arms. Each arm rotates 360-degrees independent of one another providing a different experience every ride,' the website states. Social media users replied to videos of the harrowing incident, calling it a 'nightmare.' One X user remarked: 'Oh. Hell. No. One of my worst fears unlocked.' 'What a nightmare!' another said. Another recalled a similar incident last year, put it succinctly: 'Again.' Last November, the same ride left 22 people suspended in the air for two hours due to 'technical difficulties,' a spokesperson for the amusement park said at the time. Some riders left the thrill ride in wheelchairs while two female guests were taken to the hospital for further evaluation "out of an abundance of caution,' the spokesperson said in November. The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health then inspected the ride, KTLA reported.
