Philippart de Foy makes Amo switch to Freemason Lodge
The news comes at the same time as the completion of an extensive refurbishment and will see Freire return to his previous role as Amo's private trainer.
'First, I'd like to welcome Kevin Philippart de Foy as our new trainer at Freemason Lodge,' said Joorabchian in a statement posted on Amo's X account.
'Kevin is a fantastic horseman who understands our goals and shares our ambition. Having known and worked with him for several years, it makes this transition even smoother. We know his character fits and our ideas align perfectly.
'We believe he's the right person to take the operation to the next level, and we're excited about what's ahead with him leading the team at this historic yard.
'At the same time, I want to say a big thank you to Raphael for stepping up and doing such a brilliant job getting Freemason up and running. His work over the past few months has been crucial, and he's laid a solid foundation for the future.'
He added: 'Raphael has been a big part of Amo Racing's journey so far, and he continues to be an integral part of our team moving forward.'
Philippart de Foy said: 'I am deeply honoured to have been entrusted with the responsibility of taking over at Freemason Lodge and training such an exciting string of horses for Amo Racing.
'This is a major milestone in my career, and I'm incredibly grateful to Kia and the team for the opportunity.
'Amo Racing's investment and ambition in the sport are truly inspiring, and I look forward to playing my part in what I hope will be a very successful journey together.'

Lando Norris explains how he showed up Oscar Piastri in Belgian GP qualifying showdown
Oscar Piastri was beaten to Belgian Grand Prix pole by McLaren team-mate and F1 title rival Lando Norris who wants to further narrow the gap between them in the championship Lando Norris is eyeing back-to-back 'home' race wins on Sunday after the perfect qualifying follow-up to his British Grand Prix triumph. The Brit's first career win at Silverstone last time out saw him celebrate wildly with his family. And he hopes to do so again in the homeland of his mother, Cisca, who watched on with glee as her half-Belgian son, 25, took pole position in the Ardennes Forest. Norris was more than half-a-second slower in Sprint qualifying than team-mate and title rival Oscar Piastri on Friday but got the better of the Aussie on Saturday for the one that really mattered. "I did not have to change much, I just had to drive a little bit better and that was it," he reflected. "I just drove a tiny bit better and I just had a bit of a slipstream. [On Friday] I did not have a slipstream and it cost me three-and-a-half tenths, so it makes a big difference." Norris had started and finished third in that Sprint race earlier in the day, and so knows full well that pole isn't always the best place to begin at Spa-Francorchamps. The long flat-out section after the first corner gives a huge slipstream, as Piastri found out when Max Verstappen stole the lead on lap one. The Dutchman had enough pace in his Red Bull to keep the McLarens behind over the 15-lap dash. But at 44 laps the Grand Prix is nearly three-times longer and Norris refuses to believe that starting at the front is a disadvantage. He said: "I would be stupid and there is no point in me being here if I did not think that I could win. I am here to win and, whatever the conditions are, that is my target." Piastri, nine points ahead in the title race, felt he should have made it two poles in the same weekend but "a pretty big mistake" cost him. He said: "I felt like the potential was there and it is always frustrating when you feel like you can do it and you don't. That is how it goes sometimes, unfortunately. "I feel like I have done a good job, just unfortunately not when it mattered today. But I feel like the pace has been really strong all weekend, so I am confident for tomorrow." Verstappen's Sprint win for Red Bull saw life under new boss Laurent Mekies get off to the perfect start. He admitted he had to do "15 qualifying laps" to keep the quicker McLarens behind and "drove over the limit" for much of the race. And from fourth on the grid today he is not confident he can repeat the trick, no matter what the weather does. Verstappen said: "Overall, it's not been a very good qualifying. I think it will be tough. If it's wet then you can't see anything, so you can't do anything on lap one. I hope we can fight back to the podium, but we need to be realistic and work on our own balance."

Everton make surprise £31m offer for Chelsea and Liverpool transfer target
Everton have reportedly made a surprise offer worth €36m (£31.5m) plus add-ons to sign Chelsea and Liverpool transfer target Malick Fofana. The Toffees could reach an agreement with French club Lyon 'fairly quickly' in a stunning transfer twist, French outlet L'Equipe reported on Saturday. Everton and Lyon are currently in club-to-club talks while David Moyes' side are also discussing personal terms with Fofana ahead of a possible move. Liverpool and Chelsea were both linked with a deal for the 20-year-old winger earlier in the summer transfer window. Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Fulham had also expressed an interest in Fofana while Bayern Munich, Napoli and RB Leipzig were keen on him too. Chelsea had even made a verbal enquiry for the Belgium international – but it appears he could be heading to Everton instead. Fofana has played a total of 64 games for Lyon to date, conjuring up 15 goals and seven assists for the Ligue 1 side. The Belgian helped Lyon reach the Coupe de France final in 2024 and has established himself as one of the brightest young talents across Europe. Fofana joined Lyon from Gent in January 2024, with the French club paying a fee of €17 million plus €5 million in add-ons to sign the player. It's thought that Lyon want to secure at least €40m (£35m) in fixed terms to allow Fofana to join Everton. Everton are keen to wrap up the deal as soon as possible due to the interest from other Premier League teams. Fofana could become Everton's third summer signing after deals for Villarreal forward Thierno Barry and AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers. Carlos Alcaraz has also joined Everton on a permanent deal after a spell on loan from Flamengo last season. More Trending Everton are not done there, though, with the Merseyside club progressing in a move to sign Bayern Munich defender Adam Aznou too. The Toffees are set for a new era in the 2025-26 campaign after moving into their brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium. Everton face a trip to promoted side Leeds United on August 18 in their opening game of the upcoming Premier League season. Robin Propper Rangers transfer exit finally confirmed
The centre-back has left Ibrox to rejoin former club FC Twente. Dutch defender Propper, 31, had left Twente, where he was club captain,n to seal a move to Rangers in 2024. The stopper was a regular first-team member under Philippe Clement but his involvement has been limited since the Belgian was dismissed. Propper returned to Twente after a protracted process with the deal having stalled for a period due to the offer at Twente being less lucrative than his Ibrox terms. It's understood those issues were resolved to allow the defender to complete a transfer this summer. Read more: Russell Martin confirmed a transfer offer had been accepted for Propper during pre-season. It comes after Twente technical director Jan Streuer threatened to move on from Propper unless a deal could be agreed after a protracted process. He said: "All sorts of factors beyond your control (dictate transfers). Just before last season, our captain Robin Propper left at the last minute. "We really missed him. Rangers bought him. A top Scottish club. You can't compete with them. "Now there's a new manager at Rangers, he might play less. Then he might be able to return. "But he'll want to wait and see first if he actually plays less. We have to decide: do we wait for that or do we see what happens next?"
