Alexander Isak's agent says the Newcastle striker 'may be close to finalising the next step' following months of transfer speculation.
The much-loved Magpies star has garnered interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool, as well as Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal this summer, leading him to miss the 4-0 pre-season defeat to Celtic.
Now, his agent has revealed 'all options' are being analysed this summer, and that an outcome may be finalised soon.
Gonzalo Gaitan told Saudi Arabian newspaper Arriyadiyah: 'We are indeed studying and analysing all options, and we may be close to finalising the next step for the player.
'Without revealing any details regarding whether Isak will transfer or stay with Newcastle.'

Newcastle United are interested in a deal to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as a replacement for Alexander Isak, according to reports. Eddie Howe's side have ramped up plans to sign a new forward after Isak told the club he wanted to leave St James' Park in the summer window. Isak has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League champions Liverpool, who are believed to be plotting a massive offer for the Swede. Newcastle are considering a number of players to replace Isak and have now added Jackson to their list of potential options, the Daily Mail report. Jackson, who scored 10 Premier League goals in 30 games last term, has also attracted interest from Manchester United ahead of the new season. The 24-year-old Senegal international has been at Stamford Bridge since June 2023, with the Blues paying a £32m fee to sign him from Villarreal. It's believed that Chelsea want around £50m in order to let Jackson leave the west London club, with the player under contract until 2033. Jackson has played a total of 81 games for Chelsea to date across all competitions, producing 30 goals and 12 assists. It was reported in June that Italian side Juventus had made contact with Jackson's representatives and were considering a bid for the player. Arsenal have also been linked to Chelsea striker Jackson this summer – and the same is true for AC Milan – as well as Aston Villa. Chelsea have brought in two new strikers this summer with Liam Delap arriving from Ipswich and Joao Pedro coming in from Brighton. That has called into question their plans for Jackson, who now faces a lot of competition up front and may well have fallen down the pecking order. It should be noted, though, that Jackson is not the only striker Newcastle are looking at as a potential replacement for wantaway star Isak. More Trending Ollie Watkins is thought to be a possible option for Newcastle, although it remains to be seen if Aston Villa would allow him to join a top-flight rival. Newcastle are also weighing up a move for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, who scored 19 Premier League goals in 35 games last season. Viktor Gyokeres signs five-year deal with Arsenal as lengthy transfer saga comes to an end
Arsenal have completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting, for a final fee of €63m (£55m) with a further €10m to potentially be paid in add-ons (totalling £64m). The 27-year-old has signed a five-year contract. The purchase marks the end of an 18-month hunt for a number-nine from Arsenal, who have been insistent on signing a goalscorer for the 'here and now'. Gyokeres' arrival also marks the end of a hard period of negotiations with Sporting, who were insistent on more achievable add-ons. At one point, the deal dragged on and stalled over a potential add-on of €5m. Sporting's relationship with the player's camp ended with tension, such was Gyokeres' desire to push for a move to Arsenal. Mikel Arteta has been struck by the Swedish international's levels of self-motivation, which was one of many reasons the club ultimately went for Gyokeres over options such as Ollie Watkins, Goncalo Ramos and - above all - Leipzig 's Benjamin Sesko. The signing is an indicator of sporting director Andrea Berta's new influence in the club, as he was a big backer of Gyokeres. Arsenal had previously put a lot of work into the 22-year-old Sesko, but Berta felt Leipzig's €80m price was far too high for a forward whose primary attraction was his future ceiling. Gyokeres is already in his prime, having scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting over the last two seasons. He has even outscored Alexander Isak for Sweden of late, hitting 12 in his last 17 appearances. Arteta and the Arsenal analytics staff were similarly convinced, for a forward who they hope can deliver a first league title in 22 years.
