BLACKPINK will embark on their new world tour on July 5, with a show at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium.
BLACKPINK is returning to the music scene, not just with a new world tour but also with a new song. As reported earlier, the four-member girl K-pop group, comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose, is all set to release a brand-new single, nearly three years after they dropped their second album, Born Pink, in 2022. Merely days after the news went viral, BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment shared an exciting update on their upcoming single.
On Monday, June 23, the agency revealed that the group will be premiering their new song at the first two shows of their upcoming world tour in South Korea. As quoted by AllKpop, YG Entertainment stated, 'The new song will be performed for the first time at the concerts held on July 5 and 6 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium."
The announcement left BLINKs elated as they had waited for their favourite girls' comeback for a long time. YG's Executive Producer, Yang Hyun Suk, further explained their decision to unveil BLACKPINK's new song in such a unique manner, saying, 'There was a lot of discussion about how to release the new song, and we ultimately decided to unveil it first at the Goyang concert, which marks the beginning of the world tour and a symbolic moment to reconnect with the fandom."
Earlier, when JTBC Entertainment revealed that BLACKPINK would be making a full group comeback in July, their agency released a statement, sharing that they would announce the details of the project 'through an official promotion at a later date." They had also confirmed that the quartet had begun filming their upcoming music video on June 6, which took place in South Korea under the supervision of a renowned director, whose name was not revealed.
Back in February this year, YG Entertainment surprised BLINKs by announcing the world tour of BLACKPINK, titled Deadline World Tour. This would mark their comeback as a group after their last record-breaking Born Pink World Tour (2022-2023), which sold over 1.8 million tickets across 66 shows. Following this, the four girls focused on their solo music as well as acting projects.
The tour, which is their first all-stadium one, will begin on July 5 at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea, followed by a number of shows in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. BLACKPINK will be concluding their highly anticipated tour in January 2026 at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong, China.

Ganpati mandals rejoice as HC permits idol immersion in sea

Mumbai: Ganpati mandals are relieved at Thursday's Bombay High Court order permitting PoP idols over 6 ft tall to be immersed in the sea. They had been wary of organising full fledged celebrations in the absence of proper permissions. Now that the curbs have been lifted they are going ahead full steam with their usual tall moortis, decoration and fundraising. Ankur Lad, spokesperson for Khetwadi Cha Vighnaharta of Girgaum, said artificial tanks were not suited to tall moortis. "PoP idols of 20-25 ft contain metal and iron rods and frames inside for support. In fact even clay idols of that height, like Girgaon Cha Raja, have wood inside. Such idols won't dissolve at all, because how deep can you make artificial ponds," he reasoned. Even as the tug of war over PoP was under way, some mandals voluntarily switched to eco-friendly raw material. Rajendra Sawant, secretary of the 77-year-old Ambedkar Nagar mandal in Worli, said, "Our 10 ft idol was usually made of PoP. But after the earlier ban and concerns over environment safety we used a clay idol. This year it is carved from tissue paper. The decision had to be made quickly as we were sceptical about waiting for the decision over PoP immersion. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Private Browsers That Keep You Safe vividtrendlab Undo " You Can Also Check: Mumbai AQI | Weather in Mumbai | Bank Holidays in Mumbai | Public Holidays in Mumbai Abhinay Hate of Kandivali Cha Vighnaharta said their idol is 14 ft tall. "We too were tense about the ban even though we immerse our idol in a pond in any case. But this time there is no confirmation yet for the protocol to be followed at the pond where we usually go. The HC order is a big relief, though." The prominent Chandanwadi Ganeshotsav mandal near Marine Lines hosts a 26 ft tall moorti. Secretary Prathamesh Sakpal said, "Thousands of Ganpati idols are immersed every year amid processions that include lakhs of people. It would be problematic if there was an interruption." In Andheri West, the Saat Bangla Cha Raja stands 22 ft tall. Vice president Amith Kadam said, "Immersion of tall idols beyond 6 ft would have been impossible to execute in artificial tanks. Thanks to the HC order we can now continue our preparations with ease." Santosh Narkar, newly elected chairman of Khetwadi Cha Raja in Girgaum said their idol is 31 ft tall. "Our moortikar Aniket Shevale has carved an outstanding idol this year."

Saiyaara Beats BLACKPINK, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber To Top Spotify's Global Viral 50

Last Updated: Saiyaara becomes 1st Indian song to top Spotify Global Viral 50, beating BLACKPINK, Billie Eilish & Justin Bieber. A milestone moment for Indian music. The Saiyaara wave shows no signs of slowing down. The film's hauntingly beautiful title track has not only taken over Indian cinema halls but is now echoing across global playlists, creating history as the first-ever Indian song to top Spotify's Global Viral 50 chart. Sung by Faheem Abdullah and composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Saiyaara has surged past international music heavyweights like Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, BLACKPINK, and Sabrina Carpenter, marking a watershed moment for Indian music on the world stage. Celebrating the milestone, composer Tanishk Bagchi shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, 'We did it. Saiyaara is now #1 on Global Viral Spotify. This moment belongs to every heartbeat behind the song." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tanishk (@tanishk_bagchi) Bagchi went on to thank the creative team, writing, 'Thank you to Mohit Suri sir, the man with the vision. Irshad bhai, for penning words that pierced hearts. Arsalan & Faheem, your music and your voice brought the sky closer. YRF, for backing us with belief. And to every listener, every sharer, every dreamer — this is yours too." He concluded with a powerful declaration, 'Indian music isn't rising. It's already flying. Saiyaara is the proof." For years, Tanishk Bagchi's name has been synonymous with Bollywood hits—but also with controversy. Known for delivering chartbusters at lightning speed, the composer has often been criticised for relying too heavily on remakes. But with Saiyaara, the soulful title track from Mohit Suri's latest romantic drama, Bagchi feels he has finally broken free of the label—and found long-overdue vindication. 'People used to say that I only recreated songs. But they didn't know that I have composed a number of good original songs as well," he told Hindustan Times. 'Par ab Saiyaara se logo ko pata chal raha hai ki Tanishk Bagchi original mein bhi baap hai (People are finally realising that I'm a master at originals too). I'm really loving it all. I've received a lot of encouragement." Meanwhile, the film Saiyaara is rewriting box office records. Headlined by newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the Mohit Suri directorial opened with a staggering ₹21 crore, the highest-ever first-day collection for a debutant-led film. Within just eight days, it stormed past the ₹200 crore mark, with packed shows continuing to dominate theatres.
