YouTuber Purav Jha responds as Jasmin Bhasin calls Apoorva Mukhija ill-mannered

India Today07-07-2025
YouTuber Purav Jha came forward to defend his friend and fellow influencer Apoorva Mukhija, also known as Rebel Kid, in a recent interview. He responded to actor Jasmin Bhasin's comments on Mukhija, calling her 'badtameez' (ill-mannered). Jha, who shares a close bond with Mukhija from their time on the reality show 'The Traitors', emphasised that Mukhija's bold personality is not only a part of her identity, but also a trait appreciated by her audience.advertisementIn an interview with Filmygyan, Jha remarked, "Har insaan ka ek character hai. Har koi same nahi ho sakta. Theek hai yaar. Apoorva ka ek bold character hai. Apoorva ki janta bohot pasand karti hai us cheez ko. Ab uski janta ko hi ye pasand hai toh uski kya galti hai? (Every person has their own personality. No one can be the same, and that's okay. Apoorva has a bold personality, and her audience really likes that about her. Now if her audience enjoys it, then how is it her fault?).
Jha further elaborated on how Mukhija's behaviour stood out on the show. "But I think in a show where everyone knows each other... it's not like Apoorva is out on the street yelling and abusing strangers. The environment there was already very toxic," he explained. "That's just her bold nature," he added. While defending Mukhija, the 23-year-old also acknowledged the importance of balance. "So you have to keep both sides on the same page. In my opinion, there needs to be a balance between the two," Jha stated.Bhasin, who was also a contestant on 'The Traitors', called the 23-year-old ill-mannered several times on the show. Mukhija, on the other hand, called her stupid. The duo never saw eye to eye in the show. While Mukhija formed a closer bond with Jha, Bhasin was seen bonding with social media influencer Uorfi Javed on the show. The finale of the reality show 'The Traitors' aired on 3rd July. The show concluded with Uorfi Javed and poker player Nikita Luther being announced as the winners.- Ends
