Tesco shoppers have less than a week to earn 1,000 'bonus' Clubcard points
Tesco shoppers can earn even more Clubcard points with one neat trick. However, they have less than one week left to ensure they don't miss out.
Those who are signed up to the supermarket's popular loyalty scheme can earn points on their shopping, with a voucher worth £5 being made up of 500 Clubcard points.
These vouchers can then be used to save money on any future shops both in store and online, or they can be doubled in value when redeemed against one of the retailer's Rewards Partners.
However, Tesco is now offering its customers an extra 1,000 'bonus' points, worth £10 of vouchers, when they choose to spend their vouchers with one of their 'Days Out' partner companies.
This means that families can earn the extra points and book a fun trip at a range of popular places such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The London Eye, Chessington World of Adventures, and more.
It is worth noting that the incentive will only be available until Tuesday, July 29, with the extra 1,000 points being credited to the eligible Clubcard account by Sunday, October 19.
To qualify for the extra £10 worth of points, members will need to exchange a minimum voucher worth £5 for a Days Out Clubcard Rewards Partner code either through the Tesco website or app.
Shoppers don't even need to redeem their extra points on a day out, as one Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert has advised that bargain hunters don't need to book a day out to reap the benefits.
In the latest edition of the MSE newsletter, a financial expert has explained that, once the extra 1,000 points are transferred to the Clubcard account on October 19, they can be used to get £10 off a food shop.
They can also be used to get £20 off with any of the supermarket's Rewards Partners, just not the 'Days Out' partners. This means they can still be redeemed against the likes of Disney+, RAC, Virgin Atlantic and much more.
As is the case with all Clubcard vouchers issued, they will be valid for two years from the date they were issued.
However, shoppers looking to save them up can extend them when they make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard website, with the remaining balance being credited back as points.
These will then be reissued as new vouchers when a new batch is issued after the two year expiry date, For example, a 50p purchase on a £10 voucher will then be reissued as £9.50.

Tesco's Clubcard scheme currently allows for its members to earn one point for every £1 spent in store and online, or for every £2 spent on fuel at one of its forecourt. A minimum of 150 points is needed to earn a voucher worth £1.50.
First launched in 1995, the largest UK supermarket's point-based scheme is now said to be used by 20million households across the country.
For more information on how to earn the extra 1,000 points with a Days Out Rewards Partner, shoppers can visit the Tesco website.

For calls, the headphones use beam-forming microphones and precise voice pickup technology to ensure clear audio, even in noisy environments. Other features include multi-point Bluetooth pairing, support for Google Assistant and Alexa, and quick charging, with 1.5 hours of playback from just a three-minute top-up. The headphones are compatible with iOS and Android and come with a compact carry case. Others praised the headset's premium feel, with one review stating: 'Extremely high value for money. The build quality is absolutely amazing and they come with so many features. Noise cancelling is absolutely fantastic.' However, a few users expressed concerns. One reviewer reported a crack forming on the side of the headphones after six months of regular use, suggesting they may not be the best choice for gym wear. Another wrote: 'Too much bass and not enough soundstage. Good noise cancelling and comfort, but not great for hearing background instruments.' The Sony ULT WEAR is currently available for £99 on Amazon, reduced from £179.

There are only days left to claim the bonus so shoppers need to be quick CASH IN Tesco shoppers have just DAYS left to double the value of their Clubcard points just in time for the summer holidays Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) TESCO customers have just days left to get their hands on an extra £10 in Clubcard points, just in time for the summer holidays. Shoppers have until July 29 to exchange £5 worth of Clubcard vouchers with one of Tesco's Days Out Reward Partners. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Tesco shoppers need to be quick as the deal ends on July 29 Credit: Alamy These include big-name attractions such as Cadbury World, Thorpe Park, Legoland Windsor and The London Eye. Meanwhile, if you live in Wales then you can exchange your points for a WWT annual membership or trip to Tenpin bowling. Once you have done so 1,000 worth of Clubcard points will be added to your account by October 19. To get the deal, you need to exchange at least £5 worth of Clubcard points with a rewards partner. To do so simply sign into the Tesco grocery and Clubcard app or go to 'My Clubcard account'. Next browse the reward partners and choose one you would like to spend your vouchers with and complete your order. The bonus is limited to one reward per Clubcard membership, which means even if you make more than one exchange, you will still only get one £10 top up. Meanwhile, if you have joined your Clubcard account with a spouse or other family member then you will only get one bonus in this promotion. The offer does not apply to entertainment partners including Cineworld, Disney+ or Picturehouse. The deal is the latest in a series of offers aimed at helping Tesco customers to make their money go further. Earlier this year the major supermarket was offering triple points to customers who exchanged their points with select reward partners. To be eligible customers simply needed to make a qualifying purchase from the Tesco Marketplace between May 13 and June 4. Meanwhile, Sainsbury's recently gave Nectar customers triple points on selected brands in a limited-time deal. Plus, Lidl regularly hands out digital coupons for £10 off a £40 shop to customers. How to save money on your food shop Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save hundreds of pounds a year: Odd boxes - plenty of retailers offer slightly misshapen fruit and veg or surplus food at a discounted price. Lidl sells five kilos of fruit and veg for just £1.50 through its Waste Not scheme while Aldi shoppers can get Too Good to Go bags which contain £10 worth of all kinds of products for £3.30. Sainsbury's also sells £2 "Taste Me, Don't Waste Me" fruit and veg boxes to help shoppers reduced food waste and save cash. Food waste apps - food waste apps work by helping shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses shift stock that is due to go out of date and passing it on to members of the public. Some of the most notable ones include Too Good to Go and Olio. Too Good to Go's app is free to sign up to and is used by millions of people across the UK, letting users buy food at a discount. Olio works similarly, except users can collect both food and other household items for free from neighbours and businesses. Yellow sticker bargains - yellow sticker bargains, sometimes orange and red in certain supermarkets, are a great way of getting food on the cheap. But what time to head out to get the best deals varies depending on the retailer. You can see the best times for each supermarket here. Super cheap bargains - sign up to bargain hunter Facebook groups like Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers regularly post hauls they've found on the cheap, including food finds. "Downshift" - you will almost always save money going for a supermarket's own-brand economy lines rather than premium brands. The move to lower-tier ranges, also known as "downshifting" and hailed by consumer expert Martin Lewis, could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your food shop. The schemes offer vital help to families struggling to keep up with rising food prices. Food price inflation rose for the third consecutive month in June, piling further pressure onto families struggling to make ends meet. Meanwhile, transport costs have also pushed up the cost of living. Do you have a money problem that needs sorting?
