Paresh Rawal, one of the most prominent figures in the Indian film industry, recently, opened up about the fabricated story following the passing away of his mother in 2010. It was during the shooting of the comedy film Ready in Sri Lanka when the actor received the heartbreaking news of his mother's demise, after which a news portal claimed that the actor was reluctant to leave the shoot, and it was Salman Khan who had convinced him to return for the funeral.
Speaking to The Lallantop, the Hera Pheri actor said, 'Woh jisne likhwai toh woh kisi ko please karne ke liye," (Whoever got that written did it to please someone). He firmly added that Salman would never do something like that. 'Mujhe achhi tarah yaad hai ki Salman Khan aisa nahi karega. Salman Khan ki family ko achhe se jaanta hoon, unki family true blooded hai (I clearly remember that Salman Khan would never do such a thing. I know Salman Khan's family well, they are true-blooded)."
Furthermore, Paresh claimed that the story was completely fake, but admitted that several members of his family believed it and questioned him. 'Ghar mein saghe waale toh padhte hai na, unhone kaha yeh kya kiya tune, tumhari maa hai who (Family members at home read it, asking, what have you done, she was your mother)." Later, Paresh discovered who wrote the story. He warned that if the person ever came in front of him, they would face severe repercussions. He characterised the situation as 'gandagi" (filth) and expressed his disappointment.
Talking about his mother's demise, the actor shared that his mother was ill, but the doctor told him he could leave for a three-day shoot because she was on life support and would be fine. However, his mother died shortly after he left town to shoot in Sri Lanka. 'I was in Lanka when my sister informed me that our mother was no more and I decided to return immediately," said Paresh.
However, due to limited flights from Sri Lanka, the actor had to wait a full day before boarding a 3 am flight back to Mumbai. He attempted to distract himself from his strong emotions by filming a little sequence with Mahesh Manjrekar. 'Main kaha kuch hai, scene wagera toh kar daal warna main mar jaunga (I asked whether there was anything, a scene or something, Otherwise, I will die)," he recalled telling the director.

Recently, Diljit Dosanjh took to Instagram and re-posted a video, which comprised the public's reaction to Sardaar Ji 3 inside a theatre in Pakistan. Interestingly, the video posted by the singer-actor showed Hania on the screen. He shared another post, in which he is seen proudly flaunting the film's global box office figures. Diljit has been facing boycott calls in his home country India. Diljit Dosanjh recently broke his silence on the controversy and Hania Aamir's casting in the film that was done months before the Pahalgam attack in April. Speaking to BBC Asian Network, the singer said that the project was completed before any of the current political tensions surfaced. 'Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in Feb and then everything was fine. Uske baad, bhut saari badi cheezen humare haath mein nahi hai. Toh producers ne decide kiya ki film obviously ab India toh nahi lagegi, toh overseas release karte hain. Toh producers ka bahut paisa laga hua hai aur jab yeh film bann rahi thi tab aisa kuch tha nahi (When this film was made, everything was fine. We shot it in February, and at that time, the situation was normal. After that, a lot of big things happened that are not in our control. So the producers decided that since the film obviously can't release in India now, they'll release it overseas. The producers have invested a lot of money, and when the film was being made, there was no such issue)," he said, adding that the makers are aware they will incur losses. Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 30 (ANI): Late actor Rishi Kapoor left for his heavenly abode on April 30, 2020, but he continues to live on in our hearts, memories and the pages of Indian cinema's history through his magnificent work and charming personality. In an interview with ANI, veteran actress Poonam Dhillon took a stroll down memory lane, recalling her collaboration with Rishi Kapoor on yesteryear's films. While looking back at her work with Rishi Kapoor, Poonam highlighted how "Chintu" (Rishi Kapoor's nickname) added special magic to film songs in his special ways. She shared, "I've learnt a lot from him (Rishi Kapoor). I think Rishi Kapoor was probably the only actor who could sing a sad song with a smile. And later, when I saw a lot of Raj Kapoor films, I found out that Raj uncle (Raj Kapoor) also used to (lip sync the songs similarly)...those were unhappy songs, but he would have a smile on his face and the tragedy was still there." "It wasn't as if you're smiling and it's a happy smile. It was a sad smile, you know. So Rishi Kapoor had that quality that he could make you feel absolutely emotional just by a look and the way he sang songs. He used to look so endearing when he would be singing songs," Poonam added. During the interview, Poonam also recalled the Kapoor family's warm hospitality, sharing a funny anecdote from her dining experience at Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's house. "The whole unit used to be pampered by the Kapoors' food. I remember I did one film with RK Banner, I mean, we were more interested in knowing what's there for lunch than the shooting. Raj uncle would be there in his cottage. And we did a lot of shooting in the RK studio. Be it Raj uncle or Dabboo (Randhir Kapoor) or Chintu (Rishi Kapoor), they treated everyone to warm hospitality. Proper Punjabi khana...I don't think they would ever serve pizzas in their house," she quipped. "They make a lot of effort. I remember that after late evening, even their eating manners would change. So I remember going to Rishiji's house, Neetu had made a plate for him and me. And I'm saying, 'Neetu, don't put so much dal. I'm not going to eat so much dal.' Chintu says, 'don't worry, I'll take.' And with his hand, he's taken the dal and put it on his plate. I said, 'Chintu, what are you doing? Who takes dal with their hand?' But, you know, so they were like that. Very informal," Poonam reminisced. Poonam and Rishi Kapoor were a popular pair in the eighties. They had worked together in films such as Zamana, Biwi O Biwi, Ek Chadar Maili Si, and Yeh Vaada Raha.
