Netanyahu's testimony canceled after food poisoning day before hearings
The hearings, originally set for Monday and Tuesday, will not be rescheduled this week and have been deferred until after the court's summer recess, which ends on September 5.
Netanyahu's lawyer, Amit Hadad, submitted a request to delay this week's hearings after the prime minister fell ill Sunday night. While the State Attorney's Office agreed to postpone the sessions and proposed alternative dates for Wednesday and Thursday, the court cited scheduling conflicts and opted to cancel the hearings altogether.
This marks yet another delay in Netanyahu's testimony, which began in December 2024. Previous postponements have been attributed to medical issues, the war in Gaza, operations against Iran, international trips, and his responsibilities as head of government.
During the summer recess, 'Israeli' courts operate with limited activity, meaning Netanyahu will not return to the witness stand until at least September.

‘Israeli' forces kill two Palestinian children in West Bank within 24 hours
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed by 'Israeli' forces in the occupied West Bank, marking the second child killed in the past 24 hours. In a statement, the ministry said: 'Ibrahim Hamran (14 years old) was shot and killed by the occupation in the town of Arraba, near Jenin.' The 'Israeli' military has not yet issued a statement regarding Hamran's killing. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported it treated another child, 15, who was shot in the thigh in the same town and was being transported to a hospital. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, 'Israeli' forces stationed at the western entrance of Arraba opened live fire directly at the child, leading to his death. Just hours earlier, the Health Ministry said 16-year-old Ibrahim Nasser was shot and killed by 'Israeli' forces in the town of Qabatiya. His funeral took place earlier on Wednesday.

Jordan condemns ‘Israeli' Knesset vote backing West Bank sovereignty
Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the 'Israeli' Knesset's vote in favor of a statement supporting 'Israeli' sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and Jordan Valley, calling it a blatant violation of international law and a serious undermining of the two-state solution. In a statement, the ministry said the move poses a direct threat to the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent, sovereign state on the 1967 borders with occupied Jerusalem as its capital, reaffirming that 'Israel' has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories. Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Qudah reiterated Jordan's firm rejection of all 'Israeli' attempts to impose control over the West Bank, describing such actions as a clear breach of international law and UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334, which denounces all measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967, including East Jerusalem. Qudah also pointed to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which confirmed the illegality of the 'Israeli' occupation, adding that settlement construction and annexation efforts in the West Bank are null and void under international law.
