Dor Turgeman to Rangers fee 'agreed' as mega money Dessers 'push' can unlock transfer amid Igamane standoff
The transfer merry-go-round is in motion at Ibrox amid the search for a new striker
Rangers have reportedly told Maccabi Tel Aviv they are willing to meeting their asking price for Dor Turgeman.
However, a deal is said to be on hold until after the Scottish Premiership side can offload either Cyriel Dessers or Hamza Igamane.
Record Sport first revealed the Maccabi Tel Aviv man is a target for the Light Blues as Russell Martin looks to strengthen ahead of a new era at Ibrox.
Israeli outlet 5 Sport report that Rangers are "willing to pay" the £5million asking price that Maccabi have placed on the frontman.
But he may be facing a nervous wait over his future with Record Spor t revealing that Lille have been spooked by the Light Blues' £15million valuation of Moroccan striker Igamane.
The French side are ready to switch their sights to fresh targets - but the departure of last season's top scorer Dessers could also clear a path for a move.
AEK Athens remain keen on the Nigeria striker having lodged a £4.5million bid earlier this week.
Feyenoord are also said to be keen on a deal for Dessers - but reports in Greece now suggest that AEK are launching a final effort to bring in the frontman.
Voira report that a fresh "push" is being prepare to bring in the frontman with the club prepared to raise their offer to apply "pressure" to the Ibrox side.
Sport Time claim that the contract that would be handed to Dessers is £1.5million per year but AEK still view him as a "significant" summer target.
Earlier this month, Turgeman made it clear that he was hoping to leave Maccabi and take the next step in Europe.
He said: "Right now I'm here (at Maccabi). Of course everyone wants to fulfil their dream in Europe and we'll see what happens. I'm ready to take on the next challenge."

Rangers mercilessly trolled in barbed Kwame Poku transfer boast as QPR get their revenge
Poku was a target for Gers but has opted to remain down south after signing on at Loftus Road Queens Park Rangers have fired a cheeky dig at Rangers after edging them out in the race to sign Peterborough star Kwame Poku. The talented attacking midfielder - who has been capped for Ghana at senior level - had been heavily linked with Gers in the past 12 months, with Posh director of football Barry Fry revealing Ibrox scouts had watched the player in action. Rangers were said to have an advantage in the transfer tussle over their competitors down south to land the 23-year-old due to FIFA 's cross-border rules on compensation development fees for out of contract players. Russell Martin' s side were confident of landing the midfielder for a fee of around £300,000 in compensation compared to the much larger sums of money needed for clubs in England to secure his services. But it is Marti Cifuentes' R's who have ultimately came out on top, and the English Championship side have wasted no time in poking fun at Rangers expense. In their post on X to confirm their transfer they trolled the Ibrox giants, writing: "Kwame Poku signs for THE Rangers", followed by a winking face emoji. It comes less than three years after QPR fans were left furious by manager Michael Beale's quickfire exit to replace Gio van Bronckhorst north of the border. The former Liverpool youth coach had been in charge at Loftus Road for just 22 matches when he made the move to Rangers in November 2022, having previously worked as Steven Gerrard's number two in Govan. His decision to leave the London side after just five months did not go down well with R supporters including club favourite and former striker Jamie Mackie, who ripped into the Englishman during an appearance on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday. He said:: "When Michael Beale came in he was a complete unknown and newbie to management. "He was given a fantastic opportunity by QPR and he quickly spoke about his culture of integrity and longevity. He said he'd even spoke to the players and their families about buying into the project and jumping ship to another club. "But now he's done exactly what he said he wouldn't do and jumped ship and I think that's where the problem is. Everyone would understand if he got the chance to manage in the Premier League, but he was the one who came out and spoke about his loyalty. "I really question his integrity and I really wonder what other chairman will think of that in the future. Rangers have got a relationship with him and they understand him, but I look at it and go do I want that character going forward? I'm not so sure. "Maybe managing Rangers is his ultimate dream, but I also noticed he was in the stands when the old manager who hadn't been sacked yet was still there. I really don't like that and I certainly don't like that as a manager he was going up there as a 'fan'. "Then two weeks later he gets the job? Well that doesn't sit well with me at all or certainly with an opposing manager. I don't think it was the right way to act."

Daizen Maeda 'interests' Brentford after Celtic star made transfer feelings very clear amid £21m non negotiable
The forward is in demand this summer after an impressive campaign last term for the Scottish champions Brentford are reportedly showing interest in Daizen Maeda - despite the Celtic star making his feelings clear over an exit. The 27-year-old was the standout performer for the Scottish Premiership champions last season netting 33 goals last season as Brendan Rodgers' claimed a domestic double. That has seen the likes of Tottenham, Fenerbahce and West Ham touted with a move for the forward - and now The Bees' appear to have joined the race. Sportiva reported that the addition of Maeda is part of the "big changes heading into the new season" with Keith Andrews replacing Thomas Frank as manager - after Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham. It is claimed that the Premier League club could take "immediate action" and submit and offer - but the valuation of the Japanese international will be "carefully considered" before an offer is made. Reports in Turkey stating Jose Mourinho's men were told stump up £21million for the star by Celtic - and that valuation is unlikely to have moved since. But Maeda has already hinted this summer that he is in no rush to leave - as he sets his sights on the Champions League after reaching the play-off phase of the competition. He said: "I really enjoyed playing in the Champions League this season because there were so many games and it gave us a lot of different challenges. "I think the new format has been great and I am excited to try it again this upcoming season. It helped me improve. "We played some great teams. Personally, I actually thought the best side we played was Atalanta because they didn't appear to have any weaknesses." And last week Maeda explained during an interview in his homeland that his family was settled in Glasgow. He said: "My son was doing knee sliding exercises at home. I was inspired by that and thought I could do it too. "I thought I'd give it a go and it was surprisingly easy, so I started doing it after that. It's easy to do in Scotland because the grass is always wet."
