John Abraham and Priya Runchal have been married for more than 11 years but they haven't yet planned to have a family. They're pet parents though and seem quite happy at that. In an old interview, John had addressed why they've not thought about having children.
He had said earlier, 'Right now, I'm just concentrating on setting my systems right in my workplace'.
He elaborated on his busy schedule, explaining, 'I have a football team —
Northeast United FC
— so [that is] one thing that I have on my head, and I have my production house, I also am doing films as an actor. There are lots of things happening right now in my life that are taking a lot of time.'
He added, 'Once systems are in place, then you can look elsewhere.
Right now, it's just about getting those systems right.'
Meanwhile, earlier on Tara Sharma's show, John had further opened up on it and said, 'You can't plan too much but I think you must have children only if you're ready to be a hands-on parent. Otherwise, don't have children. You need to have children if you want to have the joy of parenthood and you want to bring up someone with a lot of love and care'
John has always kept his personal life private and his wife Priya is often away from the limelight. He had once spoken about it and said, 'I think I've realized I'm pretty faulty. I'm probably not the perfect partner. I think Priya brings a lot of maturity to the relationship. A lot of sanity, a lot of stability, and she's a good person. Rarely do I find people in our industry who want to stand back. She's one who has chosen to stand back and say, 'Listen, I'm not interested in this space of hogging the limelight.
I'd rather sit back and do some real work.'"
On work front, John was last seen in 'The Diplomat' this year which got critical acclaim and also did decently well at the box office.

Sadia Khateeb Turns Action Heroine In Omung Kumar's Silaa: ‘He Saw Me As His...'

Last Updated: Sadia Khateeb makes her action debut in Omung Kumar's Silaa. Opposite Harshvardhan Rane, she promises intensity, emotion, and a bold new avatar. After making waves with The Diplomat, actress Sadia Khateeb is all set to surprise fans with her fierce new avatar in Omung Kumar's upcoming film Silaa. The film, which also stars Harshvardhan Rane, marks a significant milestone in Sadia's career as she takes on her first action-oriented role—one that blends power, passion, and emotional intensity. The makers recently unveiled the character poster featuring Sadia in a raw, unfiltered look—far removed from the gentle, understated characters she's known for. With Silaa, she embraces a side of herself that audiences haven't seen before: gritty, unapologetic, and battle-ready. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sadia khateeb 🦁 (@sadiaakhateeb) 'I am beyond grateful and extremely thrilled to be getting on this journey," said Sadia, expressing her excitement about stepping into a role that demanded physical strength as much as emotional nuance. 'Thanks to the visionary director Omung sir who could see me playing his Silaa. I just want to give my bestest to his vision. I hope I am able to deliver what's beyond expected. Silaa is a very beautiful story and the way it has been created by Omung sir—it will be a treat to watch for the audience. Sir is creating magic and the entire team is extremely hardworking. I'm looking forward to this journey." Directed by Omung Kumar, known for films like Mary Kom and Sarbjit, Silaa promises more than just adrenaline-pumping sequences. It's a story rooted in emotional stakes and compelling character arcs, where action is just one layer of a deeply human narrative. With Harshvardhan Rane cast opposite Sadia, the film brings together two actors ready to explore uncharted creative terrain. Beyond Silaa, Sadia Khateeb has also completed a comedy film alongside Neetu Kapoor—marking yet another genre leap. With back-to-back projects that showcase both intensity and charm, Sadia is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting and versatile actors of her generation. Maalik Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao's violent crime film struggles with Rs 3.35 crore, half of Superman

Rajkummar Rao has stepped into the gangster genre with his latest release, Maalik, which hit theatres this Friday. Directed by Pulkit, the film also features Manushi Chhillar, Saurabh Shukla, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Swanand Kirkire, and Saurabh Sachdeva in prominent roles. Despite the buzz around Rao's new avatar, the film opened below industry expectations. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Maalik earned Rs 3.35 crore on its opening day. The film registered an overall Hindi occupancy rate of just 12.86% on Friday. It began on a sluggish note with morning shows drawing only 6.65%. Occupancy saw minimal improvement through the afternoon (11.12%) and evening (11.78%), before rising slightly to 21.88% by night. Regionally, Chennai led the charts with 26.67% occupancy, followed closely by Lucknow (24.00%) and Jaipur (22.00%). Surprisingly, traditional strongholds like Mumbai and Delhi NCR underperformed with just 13.00% and 14.25% occupancy respectively. Maalik's opening day numbers fall short of Rajkummar Rao's previous release, Bhool Chuk Maaf, which collected Rs 7 crore on Day 1. It also trailed behind The Diplomat, the John Abraham-led political thriller, which earned Rs 4 crore on its debut. However, Maalik fared better than Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, which opened to a modest Rs 32 lakh. Also Read | Maalik movie review: Rajkummar Rao film is predictable to a fault The film faces tough competition at the box office from both domestic and international releases. Among Indian films, Metro… In Dino, now in its second week, earned Rs 2.25 crore on Friday, bringing its total collection to Rs 29.1 crore. Meanwhile, Hollywood's summer blockbuster Jurassic World Rebirth continues its strong run, entering its second week with Rs 3 crore on Friday and taking its cumulative total past Rs 58 crore. Adding to the pressure, Superman, another major Hollywood tentpole, released this week and collected Rs 7 crore on Day 1, nearly double the earnings of Maalik. There was significant anticipation surrounding Rajkummar Rao's foray into the gangster genre, especially in an era when many top actors are exploring action-oriented roles. However, early reviews and word-of-mouth have been mixed, with criticism directed at the film's generic storyline and lack of character depth. With a reported budget of Rs 54 crore, Maalik now faces an uphill battle at the box office. Unless it sees a dramatic turnaround in audience reception over the weekend, the film may struggle to recover its costs.
