Fall is a packed month for movie theatres. In this article you'll find the complete list of every major cinematic release.
From August to November you can expect a wave of diverse offerings featuring Disney legacy sequels, chilling horrors (both original and sequel) and more than one musical biopic of singing legends.
Fall kicks off in high spirits with "The Naked Gun", which sees Liam Neeson in his silliest career role to date as the hapless police detective causing unintentional hilarity across LA.

Pedro Pascal, meanwhile, stars in one might be the sleeper hit of the year in child abduction tale "Weapons".
Onto September and for highlights we have a double scoop of nostalgia. The first comes in the form of "Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale", which sees Hugh Bonneville return for more stories at the beloved British manor.
Then, just when you thought it couldn't get more emotional, along comes "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues" to give the classic '80s rock mockumentary its final encore.

The Fall season bows out in October, but not before dropping two true-life tales of music icons. Antoine Fuqua's "Michael" details the life of Michael Jackson (Jaafar Jackson), while "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" chronicles Bruce's rags to riches rise with Jeremy Allen-White in the lead role.

King Charles speaks out after departure of longtime royal companion after 14 years of service

King Charles and his royal staffers have bid farewell to a longtime companion that had worked for the Firm for 14 years. Tyrone, a 19-year-old Windsor Grey horse, spent last week serving His Majesty for a final time — prompting Buckingham Palace to issue a touching statement in light of his retirement. 'After 14 years of noble service with the Royal Mews, we are celebrating Tyrone and wishing him a happy retirement,' the palace wrote on X. 5 King Charles and his royal staffers have bid farewell to a longtime companion that had worked for the Firm for 14 years. The beloved animal's final ceremonial duty took place last month during French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to the UK. Tyrone, who stands at 16 hands (or 6 feet tall), was described as a 'gentle and dependable giant' in the palace's poignant farewell message. He has now been reunited with his 26-year-old father, Storm, and 20-year-old sister, Meg — both of whom had served the royal family. 5 Tyrone, a 19-year-old Windsor Grey horse, spent last week serving His Majesty for a final time. Top WWE Superstar To Undergo Surgery: Report

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Following the chaotic main event of SummerSlam Night One, a new report has confirmed that the bloody nose suffered by GUNTHER was a planned storyline angle. The spot was reportedly used to write the former champion off of television so he can undergo legitimate nose surgery. The shocking and dramatic conclusion to the show saw CM Punk win the World Heavyweight Championship, only to immediately lose it to a cashing-in Seth Rollins. GUNTHER's "injury" was a key part of the layered story. The Bloody Angle Was "100% Worked" Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed his own previous report that GUNTHER was dealing with a real-life nose issue. He stated that the bloody finish to the match was a deliberate and planned way to write him out for surgery. The angle occurred at the conclusion of a brutal main event that saw CM Punk finally achieve his goal of winning a WWE world title after more than a decade. The emotional victory ended GUNTHER's dominant, year-long reign as World Heavyweight Champion. The post-match scene, with a bloodied GUNTHER, was used to sell the severity of the fight and protect the former champion in defeat. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match This use of blood, even "worked blood," is extremely rare in modern WWE. It is a tactic reserved for major angles to add a sense of realism and intensity to a story. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE's Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. More The Ultimate Deception The drama did not end there. Moments after CM Punk's victory, Seth Rollins, who was believed to be out with a legitimate, career-threatening knee injury, sprinted to the ring with his Money in the Bank briefcase. In a shocking turn of events, Rollins revealed his injury was a masterful deception. He immediately cashed in his contract on the exhausted and celebrating Punk. One Stomp later, Seth Rollins was the new World Heavyweight Champion, ending Night One of SummerSlam in what is already being called one of the most shocking finishes in the event's history. GUNTHER's storyline injury now gives him a reason to be off TV while this new, chaotic chapter of the World Heavyweight Championship story begins. A Solid Debut for ‘The Naked Gun'

Save the comedy! That's the message Paramount Pictures was selling ahead of this weekend's opening of 'The Naked Gun,' a sequel to the 1980-90s franchise and one of the few comedy films getting a theatrical release this year. Saved for now … perhaps? The film generated neither blockbuster nor belly-flop results over the weekend, with an estimated $17 million in box office receipts. But the film has received strong reviews — a 90 percent positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an A- grade on CinemaScore, an exit polling system. And executives at Paramount Pictures think those reviews combined with positive word of mouth will easily help the studio recoup its investment in the film. The comedy, from director Akiva Schaffer, cost $42 million to make with tens of millions more spent to market it. Theatrical comedy is the genre that has been most decimated by the streaming era, and the one that comedians and comedy writers desperately want to return to the big screen. These films began falling off in 2010, according to David A. Gross, a film consultant who publishes a newsletter on box office numbers. Today, the genre generates less than half the box office revenue it once did. How you define a comedy determines how many comedies have been released this year. To some, 'The Naked Gun,' starring Liam Neeson as the bumbling Los Angeles police officer Frank Drebin Jr., is only the second straight-up comedy to hit theaters this calendar year. (Sony Pictures' 'One of Them Days,' released in January, is the other.) Another comedy, the PG-rated 'Freakier Friday' from Disney, will come out next weekend. 'For those of you who don't remember the original 'Naked Gun,' there used to be these movies called comedies,' one of the film's producers, the 'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane, said at a screening in Los Angeles. 'It's been so long since one came out that Paramount asked me to explain to you that it is supposed to be funny, just so you're not confused.' Some comedies on streaming services have found huge audiences. 'Happy Gilmore 2,' a sequel to a 1996 film, became Adam Sandler's most-watched film on Netflix in recent weeks. The streaming company reported that 47 million people tuned in during its first weekend on the service. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.
