Neal McDonough wants to stick with his band of brothers in Hollywood. In fact, the actor, 59, is taking back his previous remarks that the industry turned on him for refusing to kiss his co-stars. 'We want to say thank you, Hollywood,' McDonough's wife, Ruvé Robertson, said during a joint interview with TMZ on Thursday. 'I don't like how people are saying that Hollywood turned its back on Neal. No, it didn't. Earlier in the week, McDonough had appeared on the 'Nothing Left Unsaid' podcast, where he shared his experience since breaking into the business in 2001. 'I always had in my contracts that I wouldn't kiss another woman on screen,' he revealed to hosts Tim Green and Troy Green. 'My wife didn't have any problem with it. It was me, really, who had a problem. I was like, 'Yeah, I don't want to put you through it. And for two years, I couldn't get a job, and I lost everything you could possibly imagine. Not just houses and material things, but your swagger, your cool, who you are, your identity, everything.' And I was in a big, ugly tailspin for a couple of years.' After the incident, McDonough – whose acting credits also include 'Band of Brothers,' 'Arrow,' 'Justified,' and 'Tulsa King' – started drinking more. 'I never drank during the set. I never drank during work because I love my craft and I take it with the utmost seriousness in everything I do,' he shared. 'But after work or days off or anything, I still feel like I wasn't a man. I put God and family first, and me second. That's what I live by. It was hard for a few years.' SJP And Co Confirm 'And Just Like That' Will End In Two Episodes' Time
After just three series, And Just Like That will conclude in two episodes' time. Showrunner Michael Patrick King confirmed in a heartfelt Instagram post that this current season, which airs on Now TV in the UK, will be its final outing. 'And just like that… the ongoing storytelling of the Sex And The City universe is coming to an end,' wrote King in a glossy, art directed statement. 'While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That… season three, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.' What this means more plainly is that after 27 years, we'll no longer be privy to the goings on in Carrie Bradshaw's universe after seeing her through six seasons of Sex And The City, two feature films and the three seasons of And Just Like That... 'SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word "final" to overshadow the fun of watching the season' added King, who also wrote Sex And The City. 'It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.' As the series and entire franchise comes to a close in just two episodes time, many questions remain unanswered with no clear route to what's next for everyone's favourite single girl. Will she venture to England with her brooding British neighbour? Or will she (and Shoe, the cat) remain in her palatial Grammercy Park home? I can't help but wonder that something different altogether might be on the cards and involves a return (once more for good measure) to 245 East 73rd Street. 'The Woman In Cabin 10': Keira Knightley's New Thriller Is A Must-See For 'Black Doves' Fans
For most British film and TV lovers, Keira Knightley will always have a special place in our cultural hearts - and at the end of last year that love was completely cemented by her barnstorming performance in Netflix's smash hit, Black Doves. Now, Knightley is back with another thriller that's sure to be a hit on the streaming service - The Woman In Cabin 10. First images and some major cast announcements for the film were made yesterday - and, with some of our favourite British stars like Hannah Waddingham, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Kaya Scodelario also appearing in the thriller, we are too excited to watch. An Agatha Christie-style set up with a modern twist, Knightley stars as a journalist who is on board a luxury yacht for a travel assignment. The official summary says that she 'witnesses a passenger thrown overboard late at night, only to be told that it didn't happen, as all passengers and crew are accounted for. Despite no one believing her, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger.' Yes it is - it's based on the bestselling novel of the same name, by Ruth Ware. Speaking to Tudum about having her book adapted, she said: 'I've said in acknowledgements before that it takes a village to make a book, but what I learned going on set for Cabin 10 is that it takes a whole town to make a film — it's truly amazing seeing so many people working so hard on something you created.' 'It's also a big leap of faith, of course — like handing your baby over to strangers. But I feel Lo [played by Knightley] and company are in good hands.' Ware added that while the book came out a decade ago, the story will still resonate with many because 'the fear of not being believed is perennial, unfortunately. Cabin 10, at its heart, is about a woman who experiences something wrong, reports it truthfully, and isn't taken seriously because of who she is. Too many people know what that feels like and I think we want vindication for ourselves as much as Lo.' It's a veritable who's who of British talent leading the way in this cast.
