Ghislaine Maxwell moved to minimum-security women's prison in Texas
While speculation has been rife that Trump may pardon Maxwell, the White House has previously said "no leniency is being given or discussed". The BBC has contacted the White House for comment on Maxwell's move to Texas. "We can confirm Ghislaine Maxwell is in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan in Bryan, Texas," the BOP said in a statement on Friday.Maxwell's attorney, David Oscar Markus, confirmed the transfer but declined further comment. The facility, FPC Bryant, is located about 100 miles (160km) from the Texas capital of Austin. Like other federal prison camps, inmates at FPC Bryant are housed in dormitories, with a low staff-to-inmate ratio compared to other, more secure federal prisons. It houses inmates serving time for non-violent offences and white-collar crimes. Also housed among the approximately 650 female inmates at the facility is disgraced Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes, who is serving an 11-year prison sentence after being found guilty of defrauding investors in her blood-testing start-up in 2022. By comparison, the facility where Maxwell was housed in Florida, FCI Tallahassee, houses over 800 inmates, both men and women. While discipline is strict at the facility and all prisoners are expected to work, they also have access to foreign language and business classes, can play sports, watch television and attend religious services. Contact with family members is allowed to video calls, and inmates are permitted visitors during weekends and holidays, according to a prison handbook published by authorities online. Less than a week ago, Maxwell's legal team indicated that she was willing to testify before Congress on what she knows about the case, but only if she is granted strict legal protections. Earlier in July, she held two meetings with Deputy US Attorney General Todd Blanche, who said he planned to see if she could provide additional information on other people who might have been helped by Epstein to sexually abuse girls. After the meetings, he said that he would reveal what he learned at an "appropriate time". Maxwell's lawyer has said that she has not made promises or sought anything in exchange. Pressure has been growing on President Trump to release more files related to the Epstein case, after he repeatedly promised to do so while on the campaign trail last year.Trump has instead accused political rivals of using the case to distract from his achievements since returning to office.

Trump attacks ‘racist sleazebag' Charlamagne tha God after radio host criticized him on Lara Trump's show
President Donald Trump launched a bruising attack on radio host Charlamagne tha God on Truth Social early Sunday morning after The Breakfast Club host suggested the president's devoted base would pivot to a more traditional conservative candidate after the Epstein Files situation. Referring to Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, as a 'racist sleazebag,' Trump claimed the radio host is a 'Low IQ individual' who does not know anything. 'He's a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done,' Trump said before listing his international and domestic successes. The president's comment was made after Charlamagne joined Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law, on her Fox News show My View. On the show, Charlamagne said that traditional Republicans would capitalize on the MAGA base's disgruntlement with Trump to change the Republican Party. 'I think there is a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party,' Charlamagne told Lara Trump. 'I think this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back.' Charlamagne was referring to the fallout between the president and some members of his base after refusing to release the Epstein Files – information the government collected while investigating convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump did not specify whether or not one specific comment from Charlamagne set him off, but the president's anger toward the radio host was tangible in his Truth Social post. 'The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne 'The God' (Why is he allowed to use the word 'GOD' when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?).' Trump, who has repeatedly compared himself to Jesus Christ, wrote. Recently, the president has been sensitive about the Epstein Files situation, occasionally snapping at reporters who ask about it. Trump had promised to release the Epstein Files, which many had speculated contained a list of high-profile individuals associated with Epstein and his alleged decades-long sex trafficking scheme involving girls and women. However, senior officials in the Trump administration poured cold water on the speculation, confirming there was no 'client list' and Epstein died by suicide while in federal jail in 2019. As a result, some MAGA supporters pushed back on the president, accusing him of failing to keep a promise to protect high-profile individuals, potentially including himself, from being associated with Epstein. Although Trump and Epstein were friends years ago, the president has maintained that he did not have a relationship with Epstein by the time he faced formal allegations of sexual abuse. Last month, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump sent Epstein a 'bawdy' birthday letter referencing 'secrets' – however, Trump has also denied that and sued the Journal for libel. While Trump has not been accused of any formal wrongdoing or charged with any crime, his proximity to Epstein, someone he once called a friend, has heightened conspiracy theories that the government is withholding documents that could reveal embarrassing information about high-profile individuals. Appearing in the files also does not indicate that an individual has committed any wrongdoing. Charlamagne maintained that the situation may give traditional conservatives, such as Nikki Haley, the chance to swoop in and appeal to MAGA voters. 'They know that this is the issue that has gotten the base riled up, the MAGA base isn't letting this issue go,' Charlamagne said. 'And for the first time, they know they can probably take their party back and not piss off the MAGA base.'

Trump tears apart 'racist sleazebag' Charlamagne Tha God after he criticized the president in front of his daughter-in-law
Donald Trump lashed out at Charlamagne Tha God, calling him a 'racist sleazebag' after he openly criticized the president in front of his daughter-in-law. 'The Breakfast Club' radio host sat down with Lara Trump, who is married to the president's son Eric Trump, on Saturday night as she asked him to rate her father-in-law's performance in office over the past six months. 'I wouldn't give it a good rating - simply because the least of us are still being impacted the worst,' Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, replied. 'Like when you look at something like the 'Big, Beautiful Bill'. That's something that I'm going to benefit from because of the tax bracket that I'm in. But there's going to be so many people that's hurt by that bill,' he added. Trump signed the 'Big, Beautiful Bill', a landmark piece of tax cuts and spending legislation, into law in early July. 'And you know, anything that, you know, takes away Medicaid from people and puts them in a worse financial situation then they were previously in - I'm not for,' Charlamagne, 47, added. Trump was not happy with the comments the media personality made - prompting him to make a scathing post on his Truth Social platform at 1.49am on Sunday. 'The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne 'The God' (Why is he allowed to use the word 'GOD' when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?),' Trump wrote. The president then ripped into the radio host, who voted for Kamala, for saying his Democratic presidential opponent is currently looking 'pretty, pretty good.' 'But this dope, Charlamagne, would vote for Sleepy Joe or Kamala? Remember, one year ago our Country was DEAD, now it's the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. MAGA!!!,' the commander-in-chief wrote. He went on to call Charlamagne a 'Low IQ individual' who doesn't know what he's saying and does not know about the president. 'He's a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done - like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, where Seven Million people have died, and there was no end in sight,' Trump added. 'He didn't know that, or India and Pakistan or, wiping out Iran's nuclear capabilities, or closing the horrendous open Border, or creating the greatest economy, where prices and Inflation have come way down, and where STUPID and CORRUPT JOE BIDEN set the record for doing the Worst Job as President, EVER.' During the nearly 30 minute interview with Lara, Charlamagne said Americans are disappointed they are not getting the 'day one change' Trump promised during his campaign. 'Right now people are hurting! He campaigned on immediate change. Day one change,' he told her. Lara then asked: 'And you don't think you've felt any change?' He went on to call Charlamagne a 'Low IQ individual' who doesn't know what he's saying and does not know about the president 'No,' Charlamagne replied bluntly. She then went on to ask him specifically about his feelings on border security and Iran. 'Do you feel safer knowing that Iran will not have the ability to develop a nuclear weapon?,' she asked. 'Sure. If you're telling me that a county won't have the ability to build a nuclear weapon,' Charlamagne responded. When asked if he feels 'better' that American borders are closed, Charlamagne said he does, but he wants to see actual 'criminals and illegal immigrants' being deported, 'Not people who are here trying to go through the process of being in this country legally.' 'When you see people actually getting deported and getting detained and they're actually trying to go through a process of being American citizens, that's not right,' he continued. Although he voted for Harris in the 2024 election, Charlmagne is no stranger to lashing out against Democrats. 'When you look at Democrats' approval rating in this country, when you look at Republicans' approval rating in this county, you see that America's just fed up with it all,' he told the Fox News host. 'Like, Democrats suck. We know that already though. You know what I mean? So it's like…I knew that Trump would probably get in office again and fumble. 'But I also knew that Democrats wouldn't have the team put together properly to recover the ball. So what you're seeing right now from the American people is just a backlash to everything. People want something different.' Lara then asked if he thought the former vice president was the 'best representative' for Democrats in the recent election. 'Yes. If you look right now, she's looking pretty, pretty good because a lot of the things that she said President Trump would do, he actually did,' he answered. 'I did a segment on the Daily Show after he became president, and I was like, "Prove people wrong. Everything that everybody is saying about you, everything that they say you're going to do, all you gotta do is simply not do." But he did it anyway.'
