Bindi Irwin's Daughter Grace Is ‘Officially in Charge' of One Thing at Australia Zoo & She's the Cutest One for the Job

Yahooa day ago
Living at Australia Zoo comes with its perks — like having huge turtles as friends! — but it's not a free ride, either. Everyone in the Irwin family works hard, including Bindi Irwin's 4-year-old daughter Grace Warrior. The adorable toddler is now 'officially in charge' of one very important job, and the photo evidence is proof she is the right girl for the job!
Bindi's mom (and Grace's 'Bunny') Terri Irwin shared a family selfie on Instagram, with Terri, Bindi, and Bindi's husband Chandler Powell smiling slightly out-of-focus outside. At the front of the photo is Grace, whose big brown eyes are sparkling in focus, with her smiling mouth and rest of her face just out of frame. Everyone is laughing as their little girl snaps the family selfie, and Terri thought it was so cute, she appointed Grace in charge of selfies!

'Grace is officially in charge of selfies!📷💕' the wildlife conservationist captioned the photo. Grace's uncle Robert Irwin, who is a professional photographer, commented, 'And she's doing a great job! 🫡' Bindi also commented on the sweet photo, writing, 'My favourite family photos are the ones that Grace takes 🥰' Aww!
Commenters agreed, with one person sharing, 'Too cute!! Maybe she will give Robert a run for his money with her photography skills 📸' Another wrote, 'She's doing such a good job! Yay Grace Warrior! 📸'
When she's not taking selfies, Grace is learning about another job at Australia Zoo: rehabilitating animals. Bindi shared a video of taking Grace to return Aurora back to the wild.
'Today is an amazing day. We are releasing one of the biggest sea turtles we have ever gotten to the Wildlife Hospital,' Bindi said in a Nov. 2024 YouTube video. 'It's really special because Grace is coming along for this really beautiful release,' Bindi continued. 'Grace actually has spent a lot of time with Aurora, feeding her squid, spending time with her, watching her swimming around in her rehabilitation pool at our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. So this is a really meaningful, full-circle moment for Grace as well getting to watch Aurora head home again after a long, long time in our care.'
But when it was time for the release, Grace got a little emotional, asking her mom, 'Can I go with her?' It shows how much Grace cares for animals, but it breaks your heart a little too. Bindi explained later that letting an animal go back to the wild is 'exciting and special, but it's also really hard to let go and say goodbye after so long.'
'And for Grace especially. Her emotion as she said goodbye to Aurora was so big, and she's only three,' Bindi added. 'And it's going to make me cry. She got really emotional saying goodbye to Aurora.'
It's bittersweet, but Grace is learning and adapting like a champ. Whether she's taking selfies or saving sea turtles, Grace is going to be running the zoo before we know it!Best of SheKnows

Why Ashley Iaconetti Says Going From 1 Kid to 2 Is ‘So Much Harder' Than Being a New Mom

According to Ashley Iaconetti, nothing can prepare a person for being a parent of two — not even parenthood itself. 'So many people told us that zero to one was going to be the hardest, and we definitely find one to two so much harder,' Iaconetti, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, July 3, while discussing Chicco's first-ever potty training line of products. 'We were saying that it seems like your lifestyle, like, maybe changes more from zero to one,' she continued. 'But like, the chaos is definitely the one to two.' Iaconetti and husband Jared Haibon welcomed their second child, a son, on July 22, 2024. 'The Bachelor' Alum Ashley Iaconetti's Quotes About 'Gender Disappointment' After 2 Sons 'Say hello to Hayden Cruise Haibon. He was born at 2:29 p.m. on July 22, 2024, and weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz. at INOVA Fairfax Hospital,' the Bachelor alums told People at the time. (The pair also share son Dawson, born in 2022.) 'Baby is healthy and so is Mama! Seeing Dawson meet his little brother for the first time was as precious as we always imagined the moment would be,' the couple continued. 'Dawson is full of love and kept petting Hayden.' Nearly a year into life as a mom of two, Iaconetti says the transition is ongoing. 'It's so hard because, like, yesterday, Dawson wanted to play outside and we [had] just come home [from] the grocery store and Hayden hadn't eaten for hours,' Iaconetti told Us on Thursday about a recent moment that highlighted how difficult the transition from one child to two can really be. 'I was, like, so stressed because there's just one of those torn moments where it's, like, I want to — my kid so sweet,' she continued. 'He wants to play football outside with me on a summer night, but then I'm thinking about the other one in there who's about to start freaking out. I know if I don't make him dinner right now and then, yeah — it's just, like, this emotional pull where you want to have the undivided attention and just, like, love equally and have the quality time with both of them.' Iaconetti went on to explain that as a mother of two she 'always feel torn,' especially because a 'first child' is always going to 'have this emotional, emotional pull on you.' 'They're so cognizant of what's going on,' she added. Despite the difficult transition, Iaconetti says her firstborn has embraced his big brother role. 'He's been very good since the very beginning,' she said. 'It was just unbelievably cute, the way that he just took to him. Like, he was holding him week one. He is very affectionate, and he's never really been annoyed with Hayden.' Ashley Iaconetti Details 'Chill' Labor: I Wish 'Every Woman Had' the Experience That I Had' She added, '1,000 percent Dawson is Hayden's favorite person, and I love that. That's what I wanted. I'm like, 'Please like your brother even more than me.' He thinks he's so funny. He just loves getting attention from him. And Dawson just kind of, like, thinks of him as his doll.' While navigating life as a mom of two has been challenging, Iaconetti said tackling the often difficult art of potty training was a relatively breeze thanks, in part, to Chicco's official, new product line of potty training products. The Toddler Training Toilet empowers 2- and 3-year-olds to 'take the lead with a realistic flushing sound that reinforces routine,' while the compact, travel-friendly 3-in-1 Potty Training System 'serves first as a potty and then transforms into a toilet topper and step stool once little one is ready to take on the real toilet.' 'Potty training, to me … it was fine. It wasn't as difficult,' she said. 'You know what I'm dreading more? Getting rid of the pacifier.'

'Tough but Adorable' Baby Elephant Attempts to Charge a Family in South Africa but Takes a Tumble

'Tough but Adorable' Baby Elephant Attempts to Charge a Family in South Africa but Takes a Tumble originally appeared on PetHelpful. A family of tourists visiting Kruger National Park in South Africa gave a very tough (and very adorable) baby elephant an 'A for Effort' when the little one attempted to charge, only to take a tumble instead. ABC News shared a video of the family's encounter, and it's making everybody's day. The tiny but fierce little guy runs at the vehicle the family was in, but trips over his own two (four?) feet! He quickly recovers but doesn't seem to be as interested in showing them who's boss. My heart, this was the cutest thing I've seen in a long time! He was trying to be so big and brave! ABC News' video quickly went viral and has been viewed more than 5 million times, and viewers have left thousands of comments. One viewer garnered 57,000 likes when they joked, "Nah, bro is trying the insurance fraud..." @Briana got 50 thousand likes for her comment, "He got embarrassed!!!" @ agreed, sharing what the baby elephant was probably thinking, "Let's pretend you didn't see that." We chuckled when @pacmanfrog shared, "You're so lucky I fell dude! You have NO idea dude" LOL!" And we laughed when @NikkieRogers added, "The way the momma pushed back the other baby... 'Don't even try it, Bryan.' LOL!"While mom and the other elephants didn't seem to have an issue with the tourists stopping to check them out, this little guy was not happy about was just practicing his big boy skills. explains that when elephants hold their ears out longer than a flap (which is something they do to regulate their body temperature), they are showing you how big they are and warning you of their size. It would be hard to be afraid of this cute little elephant, but not mom right behind him! There are other signs of anger as well. When annoyed, elephants rock on one foot, which may appear as if they're kicking up dust. It's normal for elephants to shake their heads a time or two, but if they continually shake their heads, it is another warning sign, as is holding their tail out stiffly. Trumpeting could also be a sign that they're getting mad about something. If you find yourself in front of an angry elephant, pay attention. Sometimes they mock charge as a warning, in which case you should remain calm and give them more space. If an elephant really charges, run! Run in a zig-zag pattern and try to find something to put in between you and the elephant…a rock, tree, or vehicle, for example. If possible, try to climb the tree or rock to get above the elephant. It sounds scary, but you can avoid these kinds of situations altogether by giving them their space and admiring them from a distance.
