Oasis fans 'devastated' over major omission from reunion tour setlist
Oasis made a spectacular comeback after a 16-year hiatus, launching their Live '25 tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday (July 4), but the lack of one beloved anthem in the setlist left fans feeling bitterly disappointed.
The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, transported an ecstatic audience back in time with a nostalgic lineup of 23 Oasis hits, performing together for the first time since their dramatic split in 2009. Anthems such as Cigarettes and Alcohol, Supersonic, Live Forever, and Wonderwall all featured prominently on the night.
However, given their rich back catalogue, it was bound to happen that some crowd favourites wouldn't make the cut, which left many concert-goers feeling "devastated" by the absence of their top picks.

Maxi Gonzalez, a die-hard Oasis aficionado, posted the concert's setlist on social media platform X, where it quickly drew a flood of responses from like-minded fans dissecting the song choices.
The comment section was chock-full of disappointment, with many bemoaning the absence of beloved tracks such as Columbia, The Importance of Being Idle, and Don't Go Away from the evening's musical showcase, reports the Mirror.
Yet, it was the missing Lyla, their smash hit from 2005, that struck a particular chord with the fans, sparking debates among them, with several arguing it should have secured a spot within the illustrious 23-song roster.
One fan expressed regret: "Lyla would have been the biggest sing-along in history."
Another voiced their opinion on the perfect setlist tweak: "Take out Bring It On Down for Lyla and it's perfect."
Oasis made the decision to exclude their 2002 hit 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' from their set, a track that has since become one of the band's most globally celebrated songs. Other crowd-pleasers like 'Songbird' and 'She's Electric' were also missing from the live show.
In fact, the band played just one song from their 2002 album 'Heathen Chemistry', 'Little By Little'. The rest of the setlist was dominated by tracks from their first three albums: 'Definitely Maybe', '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?, and 'Be Here Now', as well as B-sides from the era between 1994 and 1997.
Many fans have recognised that Oasis simply has "too many good songs" to please everyone with their setlist. Some have speculated that the band may mix up the set for future tour dates, suggesting that the lineup of songs could change.

Love Island's Laura Anderson says she's 'mindful of exes' in blended family
Love Island star Laura Anderson has revealed how she navigates having a blended family with new boyfriend Clark Robertson and says she's 'mindful' of her on/off ex Gary Lucy. After finding love with Dundee footballer Clark Robertson, Laura Anderson has opened up about how she navigates having a blended family with the sportsman - admitting they are 'mindful' of their exes. Laura, who took part in Love Island back in 2018, shares daughter Bonnie, two, with her ex, Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy, whom she met on Celebs Go Dating. Talking exclusively to Mirror, Laura admitted that dating is 'different' since she welcomed Bonnie. "It's definitely different. Clark has kids, too, so we're mindful of that and the exes – the other mum and dad," said Laura, who was on and off with her ex Gary until late 2023. Continuing that she and Clark are keeping things private when it comes to his children, Laura said: "The kids will always come first, and even though I put my life out there, his kids won't be on my social media, at least not at the moment. It's nice, him and Bonnie are little BFFs. I feel really lucky to have him, he's quite hands-on." And following rumours that the couple are engaged, Laura says it's not something that's on the cards just yet. "No, we're not engaged – I was joking! It would be nice in the future… you'll be the first to know. At the moment, I'm really enjoying the new house. Clark and I were doing long-distance before, so it's been a nice transition for us to move in together. "Now I'm basically a WAG. I never thought I'd be saying that! I didn't even like football before," she laughed. Talking about motherhood, it's clear Laura is a natural with Bonnie, but she admits there have been tough moments. "Bonnie had her first day at nursery recently and I started crying when I dropped her off. As a single parent, it's hard to let go and trust other people to look after your little baby. We're so used to it being just us. She cried, then I got in the car and started crying – what a nightmare! "But, apparently, it's normal. The nursery's amazing – they sent photos via their app to show she was settling in. She's a very independent, sassy little thing but still a mummy's girl." Has Laura got any advice for expectant mothers? "It's like a different world. There's so much to learn, and it can be overwhelming, though it's also enjoyable and exciting," she admits. "You just have to jump in head first and hopefully get the support that you deserve. Enjoy the cuddles and the moments when they're tiny. It's a cliché, but, my God, does it go fast! Just be present and don't worry too much about the milestones. It makes no difference – we all end up in the same place." Since welcoming Bonnie, Laura says she's had mountains of support from fans who have reached out with motherhood tips and kind messages. "My social media has definitely changed a lot in a positive way since becoming a mum. It makes you feel less of an alien if someone else has cried dropping their kids off as well! I feel good on my social media at the moment, it feels like a community. "People say they have me to help them – which is quite nice. I have a new-found appreciation for my followers since becoming a mum. I get a lot of comfort." However, there is a negative side to social media too, which Laura has seen the brunt of. "I got trolled when I went on holiday without my child but it doesn't really bother me. I don't feel guilty at all for having a break, us mums need it, to be better mums. Clark and I had our first holiday together, which was much needed after a year," she said of online negativity. Describing Love Island as 'one of of the best things I've ever done", Laura admits she still watches the ITV2 show and wouldn't change anything about her time on it, admitting: "I believe your life's already paved out for you." And while it wasn't the villa where she found lasting love, Laura did make some friends for life. "I speak to Adam [Collard], Kaz [Crossley], Gabby [Allen], Olivia [Bowen] and Shaughna [Phillips]. Mostly the mums – we have more in common now. Maybe I'll meet some of the new Islanders when they come out. I like to check in on them and make sure they're alright. I'm very protective." Admitting that Helena Ford is her favourite of the current series, Laura says of the show's current cohort, "Im hoping Harry [Cooksley] pulls it out the bag and grafts for her. She'll pie him off but in the end they'll get together. Conor [Phillips] is my favourite boy. I also like Toni [Laites], she's very emotionally mature. She could teach the boys a thing or two. It's the first time they've had an American on, she's done well." Looking to the future, Laura says that podcasting could be on the cards for her. "I've had talks about starting a mummy podcast, which will be a nice transition after leaving Capital Radio. I loved being on air so much, a podcast is more flexible, live radio doesn't wait for anyone. A mummy podcast would be a dream goal."

My chinwags with the Oasis brothers: what Noel and Liam Gallagher told me
O asis are back, and I'm cashing in. Cashing in socially, anyway. I haven't (yet) found a way to monetise the fact I have interviewed (separately, eight years apart) both Gallagher brothers. A lot of my colleagues weren't even born in 1995 and were only dimly aware until the reunion was announced of who Oasis were. But they know who they are now, that's for damned sure, because they're the hottest ticket of the summer. There is considerable cachet in being able to say airily, 'What? Old Noel and Liam? Yeah, bagged them both back in the day. One-on-one sit-downs, face-to-face. None of your Zoom nonsense in those days, dear me no.' I tend to gloss over the fact that I had met Noel in 2001 and Liam in 2009 respectively, a few and many years past their (What's the Story) Morning Glory?/Knebworth/feud with Blur heyday.

Mel B's olive branch for Geri as she plans second ceremony after London wedding
Spice Girls icon Mel B and Rory McPhee recently tied the knot at St. Paul's Cathedral in London on Saturday afternoon, but three of the singer's former bandmates weren't in attendance Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B, recently tied the knot with long-term partner, Rory McPhee, at an intimate ceremony at St. Paul's Cathedral in London this weekend. They said their 'I dos' at the venue after their three-year engagement. Mel and family friend Rory, 37, have known each other for years, and he has worked as her hairstylist. Things are thought to have turned romantic between the pair in 2018 and Rory proposed to Mel back in 2022. While fans were eager to spot fellow Spice Girls in attendance, only Emma Bunton, 49, was photographed at the event. Geri also chose not to post any well wishes to Mel B on social media, adding further fuel to the fire on their rift. It's said Mel B and her new husband, along with their guests, enjoyed a lavish reception at the Shangri-La at The Shard for drinks, food, followed by an evening filled with dancing. Although the couple already enjoyed a ceremony, it has been revealed there will be a second ceremony abroad this summer, which Mel B says will be "more informal, sexy and beautiful". It will act as a second chance for Mel's former bandmates to celebrate her marriage. She told The Sun: "In one incredible afternoon I found two perfect dresses. One beautiful classic dress by Josephine Scott, a British designer, and one stunning dramatic dress by a US designer, Justin Alexander.' Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham, who was notably absent, took a moment to acknowledge Mel's special day via Instagram. Posting a glamorous throwback of the two bandmates, Victoria captioned it with: 'Sending love to you @officialmelb! @rorymcphee is a very lucky man! xx.' Mel C, who was also unable to attend, shared her congratulations online. Posting a happy photo of the bride and groom, she wrote: 'So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn't be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon. Yipee!' Scary Spice recently took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes image from her special day. Captured from behind in her gown, Mel stood with her back to the camera, revealing the words 'Just Married' delicately embroidered on her dress. Her bridal look featured a gorgeous long veil and pearl embellishments at the collar and cuffs, giving the ensemble a timeless and regal finish. Her husband Rory, 37, opted for a nod to his heritage, wearing a traditional Scottish kilt. The happy couple shared a smooch on the steps of the cathedral before leaving the venue in a white, horse-drawn carriage - a fairy-tale moment for the newlyweds. Guests followed in true British style, riding to the reception in classic red double-decker Routemaster buses.
