BJP slams Revanth Reddy for Op Sindoor questions: 'More excited about Miss World than national solidarity'
BJP state chief spokesperson NV Subash criticised Revanth Reddy for what he described as "bizarre and irresponsible" behaviour unbecoming of a state leader, reported ANI.
Referring to Revanth Reddy's recent remarks questioning the Modi government and alleging failure to reclaim Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Subhash alleged that the chief minister's 'false narratives' appear more in tune with Pakistan's propaganda than with the sentiments of Indian citizens.
"Is he living in a fantasy? Even a national daily that once published such claims had to retract them after the Defence Ministry clarified the facts. Yet, the CM chooses to repeat these lies, presumably to curry favour with his party high command--Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi--thanks to whom he parachuted into the CM's chair," Subhash was quoted as saying by the news agency.

He also questioned whether Revanth Reddy has any respect for the Indian Armed Forces.
"Even a staunch BJP critic like AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi has no hesitation in calling out Pakistan's duplicity. But Revanth Reddy, in a stunning display of ignorance, appears to justify the enemy nation's claims," he said, according to ANI.
He also claimed that Reddy seems 'more thrilled about appearing alongside Miss World' on front pages than expressing solidarity with the nation at a time of heightened tensions with Pakistan.
'It is unfortunate that Revanth Reddy seems more thrilled about appearing alongside Miss World on tomorrow's front pages than expressing solidarity with the nation at a time of heightened tensions with our rogue neighbour, Pakistan,' he said.
Earlier, while participating in Congress 'Jai Hind Yatra' in Nizampet, Hyderabad, Reddy had criticised the Narendra Modi-led Central government and said that the country needs the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
"Modi is expired rupee, Modi is like a 1000 rupees' invalid note. Today, this country needs Rahul Gandhi's leadership. If a leader like Rahul Gandhi would have been Prime Minister of this country, then he would have taken (former PM) Indira Gandhi as inspiration and would have walked in Kaali's (Maata) way and would have made Pakistan into two parts and would have taken PoK back," Revanth Reddy was quoted as saying by ANI.

He had also demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi explain to 140 crore Indians how many Rafale fighter jets were shot down by the Pakistani Army during India's Operation Sindoor.
He also alleged that Modi failed to separate Balochistan from Pakistan and take control over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

At that time, both leaders committed to expanding energy cooperation. India went on to pledge to boost American energy imports to $25 billion from $15 billion in 2024, while bilateral trade is targeted to more than double from $200 billion to $500 billion by 2030. Indian companies tap into the American energy sector According to the data cited by The Hindustan Times, Indian purchases from America jumped 114 per cent to $3.7 billion in the first quarter of FY2025-26 from $1.73 billion in the same period the previous year. 'This trend is increasing further from July this year. So, in July 2025, India imported 23 per cent more crude oil from the US compared to June 2025. Also, in India's overall crude imports, while the US share was earlier only 3 per cent, in July that share increased to 8 per cent,' one of the people who analysed the data told The Hindustan Times. Not only this, American LNG has also emerged as an attractive market for Indian companies. 'Buying LNG from America is a very attractive proposition for many Indian companies,' said Prashant Vashisht, senior vice president at ratings agency ICRA, told the Indian news outlet. The jump came after Trump reversed former US President Joe Biden's pause on processing LNG export licences soon after taking office. Amid this rise, the US Energy Information Administration expects North America's LNG export capacity to double by 2028, with the US providing most of the increase. India's growing appetite for American energy is also coming at a time when the country is poised to become the largest driver of oil demand in the world. According to the International Energy Agency, India will surpass China as the major driver of global oil demand growth by 2030, with LNG demand expected to jump 78 per cent to reach 64 billion cubic metres annually.

Won't allow importing of voters: DMK
CHENNAI/VELLORE/PUDUKKOTTAI: Leaders of a few political parties have reacted preemptively and strongly to queries from the media, television channels in particulars, about rumours that around seven lakh migrant workers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu could get added to the state's electoral roll. However, sources from the Chief Electoral Officer and Labour Department that maintains data on migrant workers said neither the numbers nor the rumours about inclusion en masse had any official basis. To a question on this from media in Pudukkottai on Saturday, former law minister S Regupathy said 'importing of voters' from other states will not be acceptable and the DMK will raise the issue appropriately with the Election Commission of India if such a situation arises. Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan also responded on similar lines to a question from the media in Vellore on Saturday. Alleging that manipulations were being done in Bihar in the electoral rolls by the BJP, he said such moves in other states should be carefully opposed. 'We will become roaring lions to oppose it,' he said, if such attempts were made in Tamil Nadu. VCK president and Chidambaram MP Thol Thirumavalavan also said his party would strongly oppose any such moves. NTK chief coordinator Seeman, in a post on X, said that the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, if done in Tamil Nadu, could result in migrant workers from north Indian states exerting a huge influence on TN politics, thereby eroding the power of Tamil people.
