Investigation underway into fatal collision early Saturday in Carstairs
At 6 a.m. that day, Didsbury and Airdrie RCMP responded to reports of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 581 in Carstairs.
Arriving officers, along with fire and other first responders, discovered that the lone occupant of the vehicle, a 53-year-old Calgary resident, was dead.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Montreal police investigating death of 52-year-old man in Saint-Léonard
Montreal police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man on Sunday in Montreal's Saint-Léonard borough. Earlier in the day, police said the death was considered suspicious but later confirmed it was a homicide. The investigation is ongoing and no arrest has yet been made in connection with the homicide. This is the 23rd homicide in Montreal since the beginning of the year.

The 28-year-old was charged with Theft Under $5000.
