Eamonn Holmes in tears after violent clash with ex boss who threw mug at him

GB News host Eamonn Holmes has revealed he was once left in tears when a former editor slammed him for his work as things escalated between them and objects thrown
Eamonn Holmes has admitted he was left in tears at work after a shocking incident with his boss. The GB News presenter, 65, has had a long career on the small screen having worked on GMTV, Sky News and This Morning.
However, it wasn't always easy for Eamonn as he made his way up the ladder to be the successful broadcaster he is today. He admitted to breaking down in tears following a run-in with his previous boss.

Eamonn recalled working in journalism when he was 22-years-old: "My sports editor called me in and he said 'what's wrong with that script?' I read it, and I remember it was about darts. I went 'I don't know'.

"The next minute he fired a ceramic cup bang against the wall behind me. It smashed." Eamonn revealed it didn't stop there as he was again asked what was wrong with the script he had created.
The presenter admitted he still didn't know what the issue was. "He then lifted up a telephone, which had a wire on the end of it. He fired it and it hit the wall behind me," Eamonn told his shocked GB News colleagues.

He confessed: "I am beginning to feel my top lip shudder and I am going, don't cry, don't cry here. He said 'what is wrong with that script'." Eamonn told his boss that he still could not find the issue, which riled him up even more.
"He then lifted this Adler typewriter – metal Adler typewriter – and threw it down at my feet that I had to jump for," he shockingly recalled. "I then started to cry. I was 22-years of age and I thought this is awful."
In another unexpected move, Eamonn shared how a producer, who he called his "protector at the building", stepped in. "He just went up, and went into the office and this guy was a very big sports guy and he punched him," Eamonn revealed.

The former This Morning host even admitted he never found out what was wrong with his script despite the uproar it caused. It wasn't the last time Eamonn had a run-in with his colleagues though.
Last month, he branded some of his ex co-stars as "horrible" and "false, false, false". On his latest podcast episode of Things We Like, Eamonn was joined by co-presenter Paul Coyte and tough guy actor Ray Winstone.
Ray shared insights on his life in Los Angeles and how the Hollywood buzz led him back to the UK, starting Eamonn on a scathing rant about the entertainment world.
The seasoned presenter spoke in a mocking tone: "I don't like this character, I don't like so and so, I like that person, I didn't get on with them. That's what the business is based on. I mean, I'm like you [Ray]. I get myself into trouble because if I don't like someone, they'll know I don't like them."
Adding fuel to the fire, Eamonn remarked: "And there are so many horrible people that you end up with. People say: 'Oh, he's lovely, he's fantastic'. If they say to me: 'What's that Ray Winstone like?' I'll say he is lovely and he is fantastic and people will believe me because I wouldn't say it if you weren't, but so many are just false, false, false."

SAS Who Dares Wins' Jason Fox says there was one star he was 'concerned' about

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is set to return to Channel 4 with a star-studded line-up facing a number of gruelling challenges A fresh instalment of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is set to hit our screens imminently, with instructor Jason Fox disclosing which celebrity left him feeling most 'worried' about their involvement in the demanding Channel 4 programme. ‌ Renowned for its punishing trials and brutal living arrangements, SAS: Who Dares Wins has established itself as the ultimate examination of psychological, emotional and physical endurance, with precious few managing to see it through to the end. ‌ This year's edition, premiering on 3 August, features the participation of Chloe Burrows, Hannah Spearritt, Louie Spence, Bimini and Tasha Ghouri all accepting the gauntlet, reports OK!. ‌ Among the contestants is Michaella McCollum, recognised as half of the Peru Two duo. She and companion Melissa Reid were notably detained at Jorge Chávez International Airport, Lima, Peru, in 2013 on charges of drug trafficking. Both women completed sentences in a Peruvian jail. Michaella joined This Morning alongside Jason on Friday (1 August) to explore her choice to participate in the reality programme, marking her television debut. ‌ Jason, who features on the Channel 4 series as part of the directing staff with Rudy Reyes, Chris Oliver, and Billy Billingham, shared his apprehensions about Michaella's involvement. "I think obviously there's a level of resiliance there," he told hosts Dermot O'Leary and Olivia Attwood. "We were... not concerned, but we were wondering whether there would be a trigger there as well, though. "Because, obviously, we're cutting around screaming and shouting, restricting your ability to manoeuvre, you don't know what's going on from one minute to the next." ‌ Jason also shared the words of encouragement he offered Michaella during her stint on the course, reminding her that she'd endured "through worse" in one of the challenges. Michaella clarified that her participation in Celebrity SAS wasn't about altering public perception but was a personal endeavour. In other news, Jason disclosed that neither he nor his colleagues have any say in the casting process "at all". "No. So, we don't get involved in the casting at all. Normally, we'll try and find out who's on it, but they keep it pretty much under wraps. Then, we might get told the day before, we'll have a briefing on who they are," he revealed on This Morning.

The competition will be judged by top chef Jean Christophe Novelli, who previously fronted the 2005 series of Hell's Kitchen with the late Gary Rhodes. A TV insider said: "This is great news for fans of Love Island as the current hit series nears its end, and gives them another series to look forward to with a flavour of sexy Spain. "It's a competition where waiting staff, maitre d's and chefs will all be put through their paces, with it all being overseen by Olivia, who's now considered to be one of ITV's fastest rising stars. "Bagging a solo reality TV contest is a huge step for her, but also a natural one given her Love Island heritage - and she's used to feeling the heat in a Mediterranean contest." The show will feature ten chefs working in a restaurant and it follows what happens after hours as well as in the kitchen. Similar to the hugely popular series Below Deck, the chefs will be living and working together so cameras will be rolling on staff nights out as well as while they are working together in the kitchen. Love Island fans 'work out' pre-finale dumping twist - and fan favourites are 'in danger'

Love Island fans were told to vote for which couple they feel are the most compatible - with those with the fewest votes being dumped from the Island - but there may be more... It was another dramatic night in tonight's Love Island, as Helena and Blu were dumped from the villa just days before the final. However, the final six can't relax yet, as at least one more couple are about to be dumped in what appears to be the final dumping of the series. ‌ Tonight, the Islanders took part in the Knowing Me, Knowing You challenge, hosted by Yas and Jamie. The Islanders were asked a series of questions, some light hearted, and some not so light hearted. ‌ Despite a number of arguments, it was Meg and Dejon and Shakira and Harry who came out victorious. To the Islanders, this was just an innocent game - but fans think the producers have added a savage twist... ‌ At the end of tonight's episode, viewers were told to vote for who they thought was the most compatible, with those with the least number of votes at risks of being dumped just days before the final. However, fans aren't certain it's all in the publics hands... Yas and Jamie placed in last place during tonight's challenge, with Ty and Angel coming just above them. Now, fans think they're already in danger with them proving themselves to know each other the least. ‌ They also predict the dumped Islanders will be making a return to make the decision, just like previous seasons. Dumped Islander Giorgio previously 'let slip' that he was going back to Mallorca this week during an interview on This Morning. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "This is when the dumped islanders will come in. Yas and Jamie and Angel and Ty will be the most vulnerable." ‌ Another penned: "'I've got a feeling that those with the least amount right might be up to be dumped by the other islanders and if it is and the producers let Meg and Dejon cheat I don't even know how anyone can say it's not blatant favouritism. I'll be raging." Others fear that Toni and Cach are in danger if the dumped Islanders come back. After Toni chose to couple up with Harrison over Cach, some of the former Islanders aren't her biggest fans. "GUYS VOTE TONI & CACH THEY WILL BE DUMPED BY RETURNING ISLANDERS!" exclaimed one fan, while another wrote: "We need more votes for Toni and Cach. I'm scared for them." There's just two more episodes to go before the live final on Monday August 4, but who will come away victorious?
