Motorcyclist, 30, dies after crash involving Land Rover

A motorcyclist has died following a crash involving a Land Rover in Renfrewshire.
Emergency services were called to the crash, involving a KTM 790 Duke and a Land Rover Discovery, at around 6.35pm on Sunday.
The incident happened on the B790 Houston Road, Johnstone.
The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers confirmed the occupants of the Land Rover were not injured.
Police Scotland is urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Ally Wright said: 'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
'We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances and would like to thank all the motorists who remained at the scene to speak with officers.
'We would ask anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to speak with police, to please come forward. Anyone with relevant dash-cam footage is also asked to contact us.
'If you can help, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2960 of May 18, 2025.'

The smash happened on the busy A736 road at the junction with Sharon Street, in Torranyard, yesterday morning. 2 The crash happeed on the A736 road in Ayrshire Credit: GOOGLE MAPS Emergency services raced to the scene in Ayrshire at around 9.30am. The alarm was raised after police received reports of a two-vehicle crash. It involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Vauxhall Grandland car. When they arrived at the scene, both the riders and the passenger of the motorbike were found injured. A 46-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were rushed to hospital in an ambulance. Medical staff have described their condition as serious. A passenger in the motor, a 34-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital as a precaution. Cops locked down the road for around seven hours to allow collision investigators to conduct inquiries at the scene. And the force has now launched an investigation into the fatal crash and has said that inquiries are ongoing. Police are appealing for anyone with information about the smash to come forward.
