Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar condemn call for Israeli settler expansion in occupied West Bank
Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar condemned and denounced statements made by an Israeli minister calling for annexation of the occupied West Bank. The minister's statements called for expanding the scope of Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian West Bank. Saudi Arabia in its statement condemned the notion and said "such action would be a violation of international law". The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the kingdom rejects any attempts to expand settlements on Palestinian territories, while reiterating its position on the importance of Israel abiding by international resolutions. The authority offered its support for Palestinians in restoring their legitimate rights and in establishing a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Meanwhile Qatar too condemned the statements, considering them an extension of the occupation's settlement, colonial, and racist policies, and a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 2334. In a statement, carried by Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the urgent need for international community solidarity to confront the occupation's dangerous escalation policies that threaten regional security. It reiterated the Qatar's firm and permanent position in support of the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of Palestinians, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution, ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Kuwait too strongly denounced the calls, with the ministry stating that the planned settlement expansions constitute a serious violation of the international legitimacy and the relevant UN resolutions. It added that Kuwait maintains its support to the brotherly people of Palestine in their struggle to regain their legitimate rights pursuant to the UN resolutions and the Arab initiative for peace, including their right to establish an independent state within the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital. It also renewed its call for the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibility for protecting international peace and security and defending the international legitimacy.

More than 40,000 Palestinians displaced in West Bank after Israeli operation
Doctors Without Borders said that 40,000 Palestinians in the West Bank remain forcibly displaced five months after the launch of the Israeli military operation 'Iron Wall'. The charity said the large-scale military campaign has seen Israeli soldiers raid and violently empty well-established refugee camps in the northern West Bank, and cause widespread destruction (including demolitons) as they occupy the three refugee camps of Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams, preventing people from returning. 'After five months, the military operation continues,' said Simona Onidi, MSF project coordinator in Jenin and Tulkarem in a statement on Tuesday. 'The camps remain sealed off, with Israeli soldiers actively preventing anyone from entering. Families are still in limbo, and we're worried that humanitarian needs will keep escalating.' She warned that people remain cut off from their homes and are left with very limited access to basic services, and healthcare.
