Signature Global to launch homes worth Rs 6k cr in Gurugram in Jul-Sep: Chairman
New Delhi, Jul 20 (PTI) Realty firm Signature Global plans to launch homes worth Rs 6,000 crore for sale in Gurugram in the current quarter to cater to the demand from end-users and investors.
Signature Global was the fifth-largest listed real estate firm in 2024-25, in terms of sales bookings, falling behind Godrej Properties, DLF, Lodha Group and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.
The company had clocked record pre-sales of Rs 10,290 crore last fiscal.
In an interview with PTI, Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal said the company launched one housing project in Gurugram during the June quarter with total revenue potential of around Rs 3,500 crore.
'We are planning to launch 3.5-4 million square feet in the current quarter. The total sales potential would be around Rs 6,000 crore," he said.
Aggarwal said the demand continues to be strong, especially for good brands.
'The maximum demand is in the Rs 2-4 crore category," he observed.
Recently, on the sidelines of a real estate conference, Aggarwal asserted that there was no bubble in the Gurugram housing market and ruled out any price crash.
Aggarwal remains confident of achieving its target to sell Rs 12,500 crore worth of homes this fiscal, even as its pre-sales dipped 15 per cent in the June quarter.
The company sold 778 homes in April-June 2025 against 968 units a year ago.
In terms of volumes, pre-sales dipped 20 per cent to 16 lakh square feet.
During the June quarter, the average sales realisation stood at Rs 16,296 per sq ft compared to Rs 12,457 per sq ft in the last fiscal.
To expand business and refinance debt, Signature Global is also looking to raise Rs 875 crore through the issue of non-convertible debentures.
It posted a net profit of Rs 101.2 crore in the last fiscal, a sharp jump from Rs 16.32 crore in the preceding year.
Its total income grew to Rs 2,637.99 crore in the last fiscal from Rs 1,324.55 crore in 2023-24.
Signature Global has delivered 14.6 million sq ft of real estate so far.

Under the scheme, the maximum project cost admissible is Rs 50 lakh, with a 25% subsidy on the cost of plant and machinery only."As part of the technology portal, the ministry has identified 116 technologies eligible for subsidies under SPICE," said the detailed listing of technologies was important as earlier banks would reject applications due to lack of proper information on these.

Exide bets on innovation, expansion to boost exports
1 2 Kolkata: Storage battery major Exide Industries is focusing on innovation and expansion across geographies in a bid to enhance exports in the medium term. In the last fiscal, exports contributed around 8% to the company's turnover. "We have come out with a lot of innovative products targeted for exports which we have never done in the past," said Avik Roy, managing director and CEO, at the 78th annual general meeting. "We have entered new countries to make our business more resilient and distributed and not dependent on one or two geographies," Roy added. Roy said. The company said it has so far invested around Rs 3,700 crore in the first phase of the lithium-ion cell manufacturing project in Bengaluru. "We will probably invest another Rs 600-700 crore in this this we see that the requirement for the phase I of the 6 gigawatt hour will be met. At the end of this fiscal year we are likely to start the trial production commercially. We will see the utilisation of the 6 gigawatt hour factory, and then we will gradually plan for phase II," Roy said.

Drain network soon in sectors along Southern Peripheral Road, Dwarka eway to avert flooding
Gurgaon: A comprehensive stormwater drainage system is finally in the works for new sectors along Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and Dwarka Expressway, with GMDA aiming to complete the project by 2026. The absence of a proper drainage network has long plagued these new sectors, where residents frequently complain of severe waterlogging during monsoon spells. With roads severely waterlogged, commuting becomes a challenge, and property damage, especially in low-rise housing societies, is common. According to GMDA, the work on the construction of drains between sectors 68 and 75 and sector 112 and 115 is progressing at a steady pace and is expected to be ready by next year in Aug and May, respectively. Both projects received govt approval in July last year, and construction started in May this year after the designs were approved by IIT. "Laying a robust stormwater drainage system in these sectors will not only resolve long-standing waterlogging problems but also support the planned urban infrastructure expansion. It will also improve the quality of life for residents," a GMDA official said. The stormwater collected here will discharge into the under-construction master drain along SPR from Vatika Chowk to NH-48 and ultimately merge with the Badshapur drain (Leg III). The Rs 51 crore project, which includes sectors 68, 69, 70, 70A, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, and 75A, is scheduled for completion by Aug 2026. Similarly, sectors 112 to 115, located along the Dwarka Expressway, will have a 7.59km drainage network. This will be connected to the existing Leg-I drain. A dedicated pumping station is also being constructed in Sector 115 to prevent backflow during heavy monsoon spells. The Rs 32.8 crore project is slated to be completed by May 2026. To relieve pressure on the Badshapur drain, GMDA is simultaneously constructing a 5 km stretch of stormwater drain from Vatika Chowk to NH-48. Once operational, it will function as Leg-IV, an additional outfall channel for the city's stormwater, particularly during high rainfall events. Currently, Gurgaon's stormwater system comprises three major outfall routes, including Leg-I, which carries water from Sikanderpur via Palam Vihar to Najafgarh drain. Leg-II carries rainwater from Sector 42 via HUDA City Centre to Najafgarh, and Leg-III (Badshahpur drain) channels runoff from Ghata village via Hero Honda Chowk and Sector 99 to Najafgarh. The addition of Leg-IV is expected to significantly reduce the load on Leg-III, which currently handles runoff from some of the most densely populated sectors.
