Multi-millionaire Bob Geldof was spotted flying budget with Ryanair from Venice to the UK, saying he doesn't spend on luxury travel. Despite being worth an estimated £111m, Geldof queued with other passengers without using any fast-track or VIP services. A fellow traveller, Jay Curtis, took a selfie with him and later saw him quietly enjoying a coffee and croissant before the flight. Billy Joel feels 'good' after brain disorder diagnosis

Billy Joel says he is feeling "good", two months on from announcing his diagnosis with rare brain condition Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). Speaking on Bill Maher's Club Random podcast, the five-time Grammy winner said his condition was "still being worked on", and he was struggling with his balance. "I feel good, they keep referring to what I have as a brain disorder, so it sounds a lot worse than what I'm feeling," said the singer-songwriter. Joel was forced to cancel a series of concert dates in May this year, after his doctors told him that his condition had been "exacerbated by recent performances". NPH is described by the NHS as an uncommon and poorly understood condition that most often affects people over the age of 60. The condition causes a build-up of fluid in the brain, which can affect hearing, vision and mobility. In the original statement shared on the 76-year-old singer's Instagram, Joel was said to be undergoing "specific" physical therapy for his condition, and that he was "fully committed to prioritising his health". His wife, Alexis Joel, wrote in a separate post that the family were "grateful for the wonderful care and swift diagnosis we received", and that they were hopeful for a swift recovery. Joel called off 17 planned performances in North America and Europe across 2025 and 2026, including stadium shows at Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Anfield in Liverpool. Joel, who's known for hits including Uptown Girl and Piano Man, has regularly been on tour in recent years. He ended a record-breaking decade-long residency at Madison Square Garden in New York last year. His final performance was in February 2025, when he fell on his back during his performance after throwing a microphone stand into the crowd. He announced a postponement of his tour shortly afterwards, citing a medical condition that required him to undergo physical therapy as part of his recovery from a recent surgery. Noel Gallagher takes pop at royal family

Noel Gallagher has taken a pop at the royal family. The 58-year-old, currently back on the road with Oasis, didn't mince words when addressing his views on the British monarchy during the last the band's homecoming reunion gigs in Manchester on Sunday (20.07.25) evening. He said on stage at Heaton Park before a rendition of Half the World Away: 'This one, for the Royal Family... not that f****** Royal Family! The real Royle Family.' He was referencing how the song is the much-loved title track of The Royle Family sitcom. His remark came during Oasis' closing night of their five-show residency in Manchester, which saw Oasis play to more than 80,000 fans each night. Noel's disdain for the monarchy is not new. In 2022, ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, he told The Matt Morgan Podcast: 'I'm not like anti-royal or anything. I don't hate the Queen or none of them; they were all born into it. '(But) there are other things for people to be interested in… the appeal of the monarchy is dwindling. It's a bit farcical.' Meanwhile, Liam, 52, also used the last of the Manchester shows to comment on a viral social media moment involving Coldplay. He joked: 'This one's for all you love birds… Don't worry, we don't have a camera – it's not a Coldplay moment.' Noel added: 'It's none of our business who you're tingling with, mingling with, and with,' before launching into Slide Away. The remarks referenced a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston, where frontman Chris Martin, 47, jokingly identified audience members Andy Byron, 50, and Kristin Cabot, whose intimate embrace sparked speculation and headlines over their reported affair after a clip of the moment went viral. Andy, then CEO of data company Astronomer, has resigned from his role after the footage gained more than 120 million views online. Oasis are next set to perform seven nights at Wembley Stadium. Their last performance at the venue took place on 12 July 2009 during the Dig Out Your Soul tour, weeks before their eventual split in Paris. Reflecting on an earlier 2000 Wembley gig, Noel once said: 'That was the low point in Oasis. It was a horrible two-and-a-half hours on stage. Liam can hang his head in shame. It was dreadful.'

Popular Tourist Hotel Devolves Into Pool Brawl in Wild Video

A pool day turned perilous at a hotel in Benidorm, Spain, recently with over 10 men caught on video in an all-out brawl. The video, originally posted to TikTok, shows a man in a blue bathing suit getting out of the pool and pushing another man dressed in a black t-shirt, pants, and white sneakers into the pool. He then starts throwing punches at another man, who is seemingly a security guard or hotel employee. The scene swells from there, with the man dressed in black getting out of the pool and throwing punches back at the man in blue and a group of his friends all dressed in bathing suits. More security guards join the fray, with some trying to hold back the people fighting while others fight back. View the to see embedded media. As more employees join, the fighting turns to yelling and the camera pans to show a crowded pool full of other people watching. In the background of the fight, near the group of men in bathing suits, an English flag is being flown with the words 'Mansfield Town' and 'Ashs Stag 2025,' hinting that these may have been British tourists celebrating a bachelor party. A second video posted to the same TikTok page is captioned "what started it all, the bouncer hitting the British lad for having a laugh." In the video, the man originally in the blue bathing suit is seen -- naked -- jumping into the pool in front of a crowd of onlookers. He jumps directly onto the railing as he is chased by the security guard, who continuously tells the man to get out of the pool. The man goes deeper into the pool as he puts his bathing suit back on and his friends surround the security guard. The original brawl video, which is set to the popular Jet2 Holiday trending sound, garnered 250,000 likes in 48 hours. Though people around the world are laughing at the altercation, residents of Spain have been protesting the massive increase in tourism around the country.
