Two SpiceJet passengers try to enter cockpit forcefully, offloaded at Delhi airport
SpiceJet said the aircraft, which was to fly to Mumbai, returned to the bay and the two passengers were offloaded and later handed over to the CISF.
"On July 14, 2025, two unruly passengers were offloaded from SpiceJet flight SG 9282 operating from Delhi to Mumbai.
"The two attempted to forcefully approach the cockpit and caused a disruption while the aircraft was taxiing," the airline said in a statement.
According to SpiceJet, despite repeated requests by the cabin crew, fellow passengers, and the captain, the two passengers refused to return to their seats.
The flight SG 9282, originally scheduled to depart at 12.30 p.m., departed at 7.21 p.m., as per information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.

Meanwhile, Hussain's failure to reach Silchar worried his family. They told reporters on Friday evening that he has neither arrived nor contacted them over the phone and that his phone is switched off. The man, who works at a hotel in Mumbai, had flown home on the same route multiple times in the past, said his family. Initially, some family members had gone to Silchar airport on Friday morning to receive him, not aware of the assault episode. But he did not turn up there. Later, they identified him from the viral assault video and tried to contact him, but his mobile was switched off, said his father, Abdul Mannan Majumdar. Neither IndiGo nor airport authorities could provide any information about his whereabouts, the family said, adding that they have also informed the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials posted at the airport. A missing complaint has also been filed at the local Udharbond Police Station. IndiGo Airlines, confirming the action taken over the assault incident, said the unruly passenger was detained by the CISF at Kolkata airport, and legal proceedings have been initiated against him. "We are aware of an incident involving a physical altercation on board one of our flights. Our crew acted in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The individual involved was identified as unruly and handed over to security authorities upon arrival. All appropriate regulatory agencies have been duly informed, in line with protocol," IndiGo stated through a social media post. The statement did not give out details about the man who was slapped.

Bangla youth tries to break airport glass wall, detained
Kolkata: A 25-year-old Bangladeshi national was detained at Kolkata airport on Friday after he tried to exit the airport's international transit area without an Indian visa by attempting to break open a glass wall. The man was in transit from Singapore to Dhaka with a layover in Kolkata. As per standard procedure, flyers without Indian visas are confined to airport's international transit zone — a secured glass-enclosed space designed to prevent unauthorized entry into Indian territory. Officials said the man tried to break through the glass wall enclosing the transit area to exit the terminal building. CISF personnel intercepted him before he could get out.
