Ministry of Justice announces update to licensed real estate brokers' list

The Ministry of Justice's Real Estate Brokerage Department announced an update to the list of licensed real estate brokers, with the updated list published on the Ministry's official website and includes information on accredited brokers.
According to the update, the number of licensed real estate brokers on the list has reached 672, including 4 legal entities (companies) and 668 natural persons (individuals).
The brokers have been categorized according to their municipal jurisdiction, and list includes license numbers and contact information for each broker.
On this occasion, Director of the Real Estate Brokerage Department Khalid Hassan Al Mehshadi said that this update reflects the Ministry's commitment to enhancing transparency and providing the public with accurate and up-to-date information about licensed real estate brokers, with the aim of building trust in real estate transactions and contributing to organizing and improving the efficiency of the sector.
The Director pointed out that the Ministry of Justice is working to train and develop the expertise of real estate brokers through mandatory training courses organised by the Legal and Judicial Studies Center in cooperation with the Brokerage Department
Additionally these courses are a prerequisite for obtaining a license and aim to equip professionals in the field with the necessary legal knowledge and investment skills to keep pace with developments in the real estate market.
Al Mehshadi said that the regular updates to the list reflect the growing interest in practicing real estate brokerage, which indicates the success of the Ministry's action plan in implementing the provisions of Law No. (22) of 2017 on Regulating the Real Estate Brokerage Works, along with its related executive decisions, enhancing Qatar's investment climate and attracting capital to the real estate sector.

QNA Doha The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has issued an administrative decision to shut down Al Jaidah Automotive Company for 30 days due to failure to provide spare parts and delays in after-sales services, in violation of Article 16 of Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection. In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said that Administrative Decision No. 18/2025 was issued after 29 repeated violations of the same nature were recorded against the company. The ministry affirmed that it will continue to conduct inspection and oversight campaigns and take legal measures against any violations of the Consumer Protection Law, in order to uphold a fair commercial environment that protects the rights of all parties. Automotive company temporarily closed for violating consumer protection law
On 3 August 2025, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) announced the administrative closure of Al Jaidah Automotive Company for a period of 30 days. The action was taken due to the company's failure to provide spare parts and delays in offering after-sales services, which are violations of Article No. (16) of Law No. (8) of 2008 concerning consumer protection and its executive regulations. "Buyer approval" now required step for vehicle ownership transfer on Metrash app
The Ministry of Interior announced on 29 July 2025 that it has updated the vehicle ownership transfer procedure on the new Metrash app, integrating a crucial step, "Buyer approval". The seller will have to begin the procedure by entering the "Ownership Transfer" service of the app, after which the buyer will receive a notification to approve the transfer. Once the buyer approves the transfer, the seller can pay the service fee and finalise the transfer. The Ministry also confirmed that the vehicle ownership transfer procedure can only be fulfilled if the vehicle has a valid registration and no outstanding traffic violations.
