As per the agency's statement, the individual against whom the case has been filed created numerous posts online that spread threats, malicious slander, false information, and insulting language against the actress. Not only that, but as per the company's claims, they also targeted Se Kyung's family, friends, acquaintances, and fans as well.
After the arrest of the individual who has not been named as of yet, the first trial verdict is yet to occur.
The defendant appealed for leniency in the matter
Soon after the arrest, as the case proceedings went on, the defendant's legal representative requested leniency in the matter. They cited, according to reports, that the person has been in isolation until now and has also been trying to work part-time for 14 hours every week in order to build themselves back up.
The appeal was countered by Sjin Se Kyung's side on the grounds of the severity of the posts shared online. The agency issued a statement that read, 'We have secured extensive evidence of additional malicious posts and online harassment, and we will respond to any similar incidents with the same level of seriousness. No leniency will be considered for the perpetrator. In order to prevent the recurrence of innocent people suffering due to someone's twisted desires, the perpetrator must be held accountable under the principles of law and justice, no matter how long it takes.'
