England include all-rounder Jamie Overton in squad for final Test vs India
The 31-year-old Surrey all-rounder, who played three games for Chennai Super Kings in the last edition of IPL, had taken two wickets and scored 97 against New Zealand at Leeds back in 2022.
Save the addition of Overton, the 14, who were selected in the previous game, have all been retained.

New Delhi: Former India bowling coach Bharat Arun has been brought on board by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as their new bowling coach ahead of 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sources tracking the developments have confirmed to IANS that Arun has joined LSG, who finished at seventh place in IPL 2025. 'Yes, it's confirmed that Arun is onboard LSG as their new bowling coach. LSG had been looking around for a world-class fast-bowling coach within Indian cricketing circles once IPL 2025 was done and they have finally got their wish,' further said sources on Wednesday. IANS has reached out to Arun for a comment on this, but didn't get a reply from him at the time of publishing. Arun moving on to LSG, captained by India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, also means his four-year stint as the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has come to an end. He had joined KKR ahead of 2022 season, where he was a member of the franchise's 2024 IPL-winning team. Arun leaving KKR comes just a day after the franchise parted ways with their head coach Chandrakant Pandit. IANS understands that apart from Arun joining the LSG coaching staff, there's doubts on future of head coach Justin Langer and mentor Zaheer Khan. 'It is understood that Langer could be out of the franchise, while talks with Zaheer are still happening,' added sources. Arun had two stints with the Indian team as their bowling coach - from 2014 to 2015, and from 2017 to 2021 T20 World Cup, where he played a huge role in shaping the fast-bowling revolution in the men's team. He was part of the India team that won the Under-19 World Cup in Australia in 2012, and also served as coach of Tamil Nadu, Bengal and Hyderabad teams in the domestic cricket circuit. Arun also spent time as bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL from 2015 to 2017.

40 Indian boxers to compete in Asian U19 and U22 Championships
New Delhi Jul 30 (PTI) India has sent a 40-member team for the Asian U19 and U22 Boxing Championships, starting on Wednesday in Bangkok. The tournament, which will bring together 396 boxers from 26 nations, is being organised by the Asian Boxing in association with World Boxing and the Thailand Boxing Association. It will feature two age groups U19 (born between 2007 and 2008) and U22 (born between 2004 and 2006) with both men and women competing under Olympic-style boxing rules. The Indian team features a strong mix of talent across both divisions. Leading the charge is three-time Asian Champion and two-time National Champion Vishvanath Suresh. Joining him are National Championships medallists Sagar, Preet Malik and Khelo India gold medallist Suman Kumari. The U22 men and women will compete in the same weight ranges. Henrys triple strike leaves Zimbabwe struggling at 67-4 against New Zealand
Bulawayo (Zimbabwe), Jul 30 (AP) Fast bowler Matt Henry's triple strike on Wednesday provided New Zealand with a perfect start in its first test match against Zimbabwe in almost nine years. In an incisive opening spell of seven overs, Henry got the wickets of Brian Bennett (6) and Ben Curran (13). He then found the outside edge of Nick Welch (27) at the stroke of lunch to leave Zimbabwe in trouble at 67-4. Fast bowler Nathan Smith had reduced Zimbabwe to 31-3 when in-form Sean Williams (2) chopped a short ball back onto his stumps before captain Craig Ervine and Welch found some boundaries against spinners Mitchell Santer and Michael Bracewell. Ervine took 23 balls to get off the mark with a boundary through mid-off and was unbeaten on 13 at the break. Santner, captaining the Black Caps for the first time in the absence of injured Tom Latham, hoped his three fast bowlers get most out of a soft pitch after he lost the toss and was asked to field first. And Henry didn't disappoint his skipper. Bennett and Curran, recovered from a broken hand, both were caught by Will Young at the third slip as Henry consistently challenged the openers with his immaculate line and length. Welch and Ervine seemed to have settled down in the last half hour with their sweeps and reverse sweeps against the spinners before Henry returned and had Welch caught in the second slip. New Zealand has won 11 of its 17 test matches against Zimbabwe and drawn six. This is the first match between the two teams since 2016 in cricket's traditional format. Zimbabwe has a poor home test record with its last win coming against Pakistan in 2013. New Zealand, playing its first test of the year, is without several regulars with Latham still recovering from a shoulder injury and Glenn Phillips ruled out of the two-match series because of a groin strain sustained during the Major League Cricket competition in the U.S. Kane Williamson was unavailable for the series, and fast bowler Kyle Jamieson took time out to be at home for the birth of his first child. In Latham's absence, Santer became the 32nd test captain for the Black Caps. He led New Zealand to the tri-series title last week in Harare, beating South Africa in the final in the white ball format. This series is not part of the World Test Championship. Zimbabwe has played seven test matches this year, losing six and winning one.
