Love Island fans baffled as latest episode 'cut short' amid bombshell drama

Daily Mirror18 hours ago
The Love Island villa was graced with the arrival of two more bombshells tonight, as Billykiss and Ryan wasted no time in taking some of the Islanders on a date
The Love Island villa was rocked with even more drama tonight, as bombshells Billykiss and Ryan made their shock entrance into the villa. However, fans were left baffled when tonight's episode was seemingly cut short just as the drama started to heat up.
The new arrivals wasted no time in getting to know their fellow Islanders, as they headed out on dates straight away. Ryan chose Shakira and Toni to take out on a date, while Billykiss decided to date both Dejon and Conor.

After the dates, Billykiss and Ryan entered the regular villa where they met the rest of the Islanders. Billykiss gathered around the fire pit with the girls while Ryan updated the boys on his dates with Shakira and Toni. However, fans didn't see much after that, as the show finished 7 minutes earlier than scheduled.

The ITV2 schedule said the episode would be running until 10.05 - but fans' trip to the villa ended at 9.58 - just as Meg was heard worrying about Dejon's attraction towards the new bombshell.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "THERES ANOTHER 7 MINUTES LEFT." A second penned: "No tomorrow night and finishes 6 mins early!"
A third confused fan penned: "Weird part to end it on it ended a few minutes early."
It seems Dejon is popular amongst the new bombshells, having been chosen for several dates. However, this didn't go down well with Meg, who was visibly fed up with the number of tests she and Dejon were having to undergo.

As Billykiss walked through the main villa, Dejon gushed over her figure with the other guys, as a worried Meg said she thinks the new bombshell would be the one to turn heads. However, fans were left fuming when the episode came to an end on the abrupt cliffhanger.
Fans weren't shown a snippet of tomorrow night either, which has been a reoccurring theme in this series. Although there have been some episodes where they're shown snippets of the next day - most of the time they wait for the first look the following afternoon to see what's in store.
Elsewhere, sparks could be flying for Shakira and Ryan as she informed him that she had broken things off with Harry before the date. It came after she became aware of Harry and Helena's X-rated comments towards each other during last night's heart rate challenge.
It came at a sensitive time for Shakira, just one day after Harry chose to snog his ex, Helena, in the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge. Enough was enough for Shakira, as earlier in the episode, she was completely over their relationship as she couldn't be bothered to be involved in the love triangle.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

The comedian joked about a dumped islander returning - but it didn't go well. 'I'll be honest, it was, perhaps, a misjudgement by me'. Love Island wouldn't be the same without the wry commentary from Iain Stirling. In fact he is such a fixture that he is also pulling double duty this summer - and offering his witty narration on the American version. ITV2's iconic reality show has been such a hit since it debuted a decade ago that it has unsurprisingly led to plenty of spin-offs. It includes Love Island USA, which is now in its seventh season. However one of his recent jokes did not go down well and he has had to apologise. But what exactly happened? The Peacock series started in June and is continuing right now. Unlike the British version, it is filmed in Fiji instead of on a Spanish island. Stirling joked that beloved-but-dumped islander Jeremiah Brown was returning as a waiter for two other contestants who were on a date. Fans were not happy when this didn't turn out to be the case, as they were hopeful that he was about to make a comeback. Speaking to E! News, Iain said: 'I'll be honest, it was, perhaps, a misjudgement by me. 'I genuinely thought people would appreciate the nod to him, because we very rarely talk about it, but if you think about it, it's an unwritten rule that I never really joke about the islanders once they've gone. I'll maybe do a joke as they're leaving. So it's a big deal.' He continued: 'It was a genuine statement of love that I mentioned Jeremiah after he'd already left the show. I thought people would be, 'Oh, that's funny.' He was such an intrinsic part of the show. Some people did take it as such, and then some people sadly didn't, and I apologize to those people.'

They headed to a beautiful location with stunning sea views to get to know the her over a glass of bubbly. The 28-year-old content creator from Dublin had a lot of flirty banter with Dejon and seemed to have a lot of common, such as family and spirituality. Dejon told her: "You're really beautiful you know," and asked her if she would move to London for him, to which she replied: "If you were serious, yeah." Later in the villa, Dejon filled in the boys saying: "Yeah, she's a proper nice girl bro. Like, mad sweet... yeah she's a pretty girl as well. Her body's ridiculous." A curious Harrison asked: "What's the chat saying, good?" Dejon replied: "Yeah, good chat, to be fair. She's confident. She's in unbelievable shape." Meanwhile, Meg told the girls: "I feel like Dejon is going to be very into her, yeah." However, fans reckon that Dejon will stick this "his Meg" just to stay in the game. Former This Morning presenter 'dumped' by ITV after wild conspiracy rant left her cancelled

Emma Kenny was a regular presenting on This Morning before she was 'cancelled' for her outspoke views on the covid-19 pandemic - leaving her stuck for money and nearly losing her house. Emma Kenny, a former presenter on This Morning, took a new direction in her career after being 'cancelled' during the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier this week, she made headlines by revealing the birth of her fourth child at the age 52. Emma, a television psychologist, is already a mother to Tyde, 22, Evan, 20, and nearly two-year-old Etta Blue. ‌ She and her 34-year-old husband, Pete, have welcomed their newborn daughter. Emma shared a series of heartfelt Instagram posts announcing the arrival of baby Ella-Grey, writing: "Say hi Ella-Grey And then we were six! ‌ "Say hello Ella-Grey! This morning she entered the world with a very loud cry. The Royal Bolton hospital have been fantastic and ensured that we have both been looked after brilliantly." The arrival of Emma's baby comes after a challenging period in both her personal and professional life, the Mirror reports. Just a few weeks before giving birth, she experienced the sudden loss of her mum. Opening up about her grief, she stated: "I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it's really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as older my boys did before them." Years earlier, Emma claims she lost her presenting role on This Morning due to her controversial views on coronavirus. She revealed the fallout left her financially struggling, nearly costing her home as work dried up during lockdown. The mum-of-four posted a series of anti-lockdown tweets on X, formerly Twitter. Around that time, reports surfaced suggesting that ITV bosses were unhappy with her actions - claims that were denied at the time. ‌ Emma sparked controversy after publicly stating she would ignore government guidelines and advice on coronavirus safety in the lead-up to Christmas. She was slammed for tweeting: "I'm going to have parties, see my friends, invite EVERYONE around!" "I'm going to visit elderly neighbours and take cake. I'm not wearing a mask and I'm going to do what as a human I was born to do… socialise." ‌ Although the tweets were deleted, the TV personality was met with furious backlash. A source told the Mail on Sunday: "Those at the top put up with it for a few months but it got to the point where the backlash was too much." Addressing rumours about her absence from the daytime show, Emma shared on Twitter that she had recently signed a new contract with ITV. She told her followers: "Just to make it clear I've just signed a new contract with This Morning and count the staff and many presenters as friends. Thanks for the messages of support. Xxxxxx." And a spokesperson for This Morning revealed: "Emma Kenny is one of a host of expert contributors we continue to feature on the show." ‌ However, in a later interview with Johnny Seifert on the Secure The Insecure podcast, Emma revealed that she faced financial difficulties after being let go and even consulted a crisis manager. She said: "I was cancelled. So it wasn't a thing of, 'I might be.' It happened. And it's the reality of working in a field where there is a safe space that you are allowed to remain in. And if you step outside of that, there are consequences." The ordeal came at the worst time as her father had died by suicide just days earlier. Despite this, she returned to work as a freelancer six days later but soon after her contracts were getting cancelled after she spoke out. ‌ She continued: "I was also managing some of my family's struggles because people in my family just couldn't go back to work. I was helping manage that on a financial level. So there were all these things that were happening around me. And then COVID hit. "When I started to speak out, it was really difficult because I started to get all my contracts cancelled. And then my husband, who is a very lovely man, he also knew that I was the person that really brings the income in." "He works with me and he's amazing. Without him, I couldn't do what I do, but the point is it was me challenging our economic standard and I challenged it to the point where we nearly lost our home." ‌ Emma was advised by a PR consultant to issue an apology for her remarks, but she refused. Emma concluded: "I was told by a crisis manager to do things like take the vaccine live on TV. And I basically said that the consequence of that for me would be the end of my mental health. And also the end of my credibility as a human being for myself." Not everything was lost, as Emma shifted her focus to narrating true crime stories and launching her own YouTube channel, Emma Kenny True Crime. In a new post she opened up, revealing that she didn't think she could find happiness again after her father's tragic death. ‌ "When my dad took his life in 2019, I never thought I would be happy again, but in truth I couldn't have been more wrong, I've learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering, we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it. I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me," she wrote. Closing her post, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her during the difficult times. She said: "Thank you to all of you who have spent years supporting me. You stood beside me in the dark times and you gave me so many new career directions that these days I don't need invites off the MSM! Thank you, all of you, for so much more than you could possibly know xxx." Emma kept her fourth pregnancy private until announcing it last week, sharing a mirror selfie showing her baby bump and telling her fans: "Last show before I give birth! 9 months pregnant, quite happy to go into labour on stage….so any of you with health care qualifications at my Killer Couples, Liverpool Empire show tonight please be prepared!" "Back on stage in September…..but for now it's time for baby, 2 year old, filming YouTube and Facebook and going on a road trip to Italy the minute this babies fast track passport arrives! X," she continued.
