Hulk Hogan's cause of death revealed by medical examiner
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, previously had leukaemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, the report from the District Six Medical Examiner said.
Hogan, 71, was pronounced dead at hospital less than 90 minutes after medics arrived at his home in Clearwater, Florida, to answer a call about a cardiac arrest on the morning of July 24, police said.
Hogan was perhaps the biggest star in WWE's long history, known for both his larger-than-life personality and his in-ring exploits.
He was the main draw for the first WrestleMania in 1985 and was a fixture for years, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even WWE co-founder Vince McMahon.

Woman dies in hospital after falling ill at Turriff Show
A woman has died after falling ill while attending a show in Aberdeenshire. An air ambulance, two ambulances and police were called to the Turriff Show at around 5pm on Sunday. The 74-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she was later pronounced dead. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 5pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025, police were made aware a 74-year-old woman had fallen ill at the Turriff Show. 'She was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she later died. 'The death is not being treated as suspicious and her family is aware.' Doctors urged to have say on future of profession
Doctors in Scotland are being asked for their views on the future of the profession. A 'once-in-a-generation' project has been launched to look at the current shape of the health service and gauge the views of the profession on how it should look in the next 15 to 20 years. The health service has gone through a period of prolonged struggle in the past decade, with high waiting times and long lists of Scots yet to be seen or treated. Multiple political parties have said there is a need for reform in the NHS to ensure it is sustainable in the long term, but few concrete ideas have been put forward by Government. As part of the first phase of the Future Medical Workforce initiative, doctors are being asked to come forward for a series of focus groups looking at the future of training, recruitment and workforce planning – but the project will not cover the pay and conditions of medics. Health secretary Neil Gray said: 'This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of the medical workforce and create a sustainable, fulfilling career path for doctors in Scotland. 'We know the NHS faces major challenges, and it is vital that those living the reality of what it means to be a doctor today are at the heart of shaping what comes next. 'I strongly encourage doctors across Scotland to get involved in this work. Your voice matters and your insight will help ensure that the future of our health service is informed, inclusive and resilient.' Singer Jessie J returned to hospital with ‘infection' and ‘fluid on lungs'
Singer Jessie J has revealed she returned to the hospital where an 'infection' and 'a little fluid' on her lungs were discovered. The 37-year-old, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said she has since discharged herself from the hospital where she was treated after breast cancer surgery just weeks ago, revealing in July that she had since seen 'no cancer spread'. In a post on Instagram, the Price Tag singer said: 'Six weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery. Not expected or planned. 'I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot on the lung, it is not a blood clot thank god. 'They ran a lot of tests, which ended up showing I have an infection (still trying to figure out what) and a little fluid on my lungs. 'Finding it hard to breathe in, but I discharged myself last night (I hate being in hospital) and will continue the investigation as an outpatient.' She went on to say it was 'frustrating' that her career plans had to change due to her surgery and hospital visits, and added that she had been 'working so hard to get to this point and excited to do it all'. Cornish said: 'I know for me, the true hard journey of this whole thing physically was the day I went into surgery. 'The recovery physically is far from quick or easy, and mentally it's been the most challenging time for me, especially as a mum with a toddler and being unable to be the mother I usually am.' The star said her visit to hospital was a 'reminder to myself to slow down' even though she felt she was already at a slow pace. Cornish added: 'This isn't a speedy recovery and it isn't meant to be. 'As an ADHD Aries, fire breathing dragon t-rex, I can do it myself, I'm always ok woman. That slow pace has been a hard reality to accept to be honest. 'I love moving and working and being up and active but I can't be right now, and that's what it is, and I am finding the strength knowing that all can be adjusted to align with a slower pace and the support of my very small inner support circle.' The London-born singer welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having had a miscarriage in November 2021. She has battled with ill-health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020. The singer-songwriter has had three number one songs in the UK singles chart with Domino, Price Tag and Bang Bang. She was awarded four Mobo awards in 2011 including best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like A Dude and best album with Who You Are, and won the Brit Award for rising star in 2011.
