New Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max leak suggests major upgrade
Bigger, thicker, and built to last?
According to the leak, pointed out by Forbes, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could pack a battery close to 5,000mAh, surpassing the current heavyweight, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which sports a 4,676mAh battery. That would mark almost a 10% boost in capacity, a significant jump.
Fueling these claims is a widely reported rumour that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be thicker than its predecessor, increasing from 8.25mm to approximately 8.725mm. That additional half a millimeter could offer enough space for a larger battery without drastically altering the feel of the phone in hand.
Despite Apple's consistent yearly upgrades—better cameras, faster processors, smarter AI—battery life remains one of the top demands from users. Currently, the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts an impressive 33-hour battery life, up from 29 hours on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and just 20 hours on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. If the iPhone 17 Pro Max gains an extra 300mAh in capacity, analysts believe we could see that number climb to 35 hours or more.
Beyond battery life, a report in MacRumors suggested the iPhone 17 Pro Max (and its sibling, the iPhone 17 Pro) will be equipped with a trio of 48MP rear cameras and an upgraded 24MP front camera. Interestingly, no major differences in camera capabilities have been rumoured between the two models.
Though Apple has yet to confirm anything, all signs point to the iPhone 17 Pro Max being the endurance champion of the lineup, with a bulkier design making room for a near-5,000mAh battery. That alone could make it the go-to choice for power users, even if other specs remain largely identical to the Pro version.
With a launch expected in just a few months, the countdown to the newest iPhone has begun.

Shark Detect Clean & Empty Review – Best Cordless Pet Vacuum
If you have a cat who thinks every surface is a bed or a dog who sheds enough to knit a sweater weekly, you know the relentless battle with pet hair across your floors, rugs, and even your clothes. It clings to sofas, drifts under furniture, and somehow reappears right after you vacuum, leaving you in an endless cycle of cleaning fur, dander, and the dust it collects. For pet owners in busy households, constant shedding isn't just annoying—it's a drain on your time, energy, and even your air quality. You need a vacuum that can keep up with your pet's shedding schedule without requiring you to constantly empty the bin or lug around a heavy, corded machine. This is where the Shark Detect Clean & Empty shines. The Shark Detect Clean & Empty is a standout in the cordless vacuum market, combining advanced Detect technologies, a hands‑free auto‑empty base, and an innovative flex‑wand—all designed to simplify life for pet owners. With up to 60 minutes of runtime, a lightweight 2.9 kg body, and a 5‑year warranty, this model aims to deliver powerful, hassle‑free cleaning. What We Love Auto‑Empty Auto‑Dock: Automatically empties the 0.42 L bin into a sealed base that holds up to 45 days of debris—no dust clouds, no effort. Smart Detect Suite: Sensors for Dirt, Floor type, Edges, and Light adjust suction and brush speed on the fly—boosting pet hair pickup by up to 50% vs. previous models. Flexology Wand: Bends to clean under low furniture without bending over yourself, plus converts into a handheld with included tools—ideal for stairs, upholstery, and car interiors. Lightweight & Long Runtime: At just under 3 kg and up to 60 minutes on Eco mode, it's easy to carry and sufficient for most homes. What We Think The Shark Detect Clean and Empty Cordless is a powerful, user-friendly choice for pet households. Its auto‑empty dock is a game-changer, the Detect‑suite ensures thorough cleaning, and the flex‑wand adds versatility. It just misses perfection due to a small dust cup—but docking often makes that a non-issue. Final Tip
